That's nice of you to go in there Flagryl. I am sure John trusts you. You know what to leave alone.
Welp, I am on Prednisone for two more weeks. Apparently this is such a nasty little drug and I was on a higher dose to get rid of the rash, I have to be tapered down from it in order to get off it. So I guess I will be a bit antsy and very hungry for two more weeks. Sigh.
I gave notice at work which is a huge bummer indeed. As soon as this rash heals completely I will look for something else. I am told this could take weeks, though, so not to despair.
In happy news, I was going through my CDO folders and found some I hadn't extracted yet. That was like getting new tubes. I had forgotten about them. As soon as I can sit still, yay, more WWO's. Plus all those Garbis and Audre and Nickel tubes that Huronna did for us! We have a wealth of tubes to play with!
I am guarding my mental health. I am doing well right now, so I want to keep it going. Trying to keep up healthy habits.

Silk.. When my mum was alive and visited Sydney she travelled to the national parks etc and saw many lovely looking birds, Galahs, cockatoos, lorikeets, but she never mentioned the Honey eater, i looked it up and what a lovely thing it is, love its plumage..
Flagryl.. sadly side effects like gaining weight and water retention seem the norm with a lot of medications, particularly steriods, i dislike anything that puts weight on, i have battled weight since my early teens. lowest i have been is 9 stones (57kg) and highest is 15 stone 4lb.(97kg) diabetes hasn't helped nor has the menopause..
I have been busy, relaxing somewhat, had my eye appointment today as i thought i might need new glasses, turns out though they have stayed the same but i have a'bump' on the pressure line when they did the air puff test and this could indicate glaucoma, he is requesting an appointment at the hospital for a follow up, fingers crossed its nothing to worry about but as i have type 2 diabetes it is something that could become a problem, detected early gives good results so i am told.. We shall see, other than that not much to report.
Have a fab weekend everyone what ever your plans are.

Tilly, important to have your eye looked after. Treatment for glaucoma is good. It can prevent things getting worse. Nice that you looked up Honey Eaters, there are so many different ones. I'd say We have round 20 different ones visit our garden . The back garden is planted for the birds. We have some shrubs flowering all year so they have plenty of food. I made large stained glass skylight panels featuring Galahs. Haven't seen Milyn for a while.

Glad you are on top of your eye issue Tilly and it gets taken care of. Silk those Honey Eaters look a little like Finch and I love those Galahs, pink cockatoos.
I hope Milyn is doing well and pops in.
Amy flew in for my birthday last Wed and she arrived wearing the very same flip flops I have. Great minds... We had a lovely time and she treated us to dinner last night at my favorite restaurant, Josephines, where we all had the famous SW Crabcakes, a house specialty. John baked his famous Banana Raspberry cake, fabulous. She left this morning.

Hello in Sep!
I apologize for being MIA... Grassy was kind enough to represent the Pink Posse and message me. I have had some stuff going on and been out of the interest in anything much loop. I'll try to do better and I'll try to read back to catch up. Meanwhile, it's time for meds and dinner. Take care all... waving~~~

I did something tonight that I have never done before. We went to a new restaurant. we ordered drinks and an appetizer, and as soon as the appetizer came we ordered out main course with was only two interesting salads, We waited and waited. 2 lovely girls sat next to use and a while later their food came...our still didn't. We still didn't see out waiter. When another waitress came by we stopped her and mentioned that we had been waiting for who knows how long and nothing had arriver, she said she would check on it and came back saying it was one the way. and then I still didn't see our waiter. about 45 minutes had passed since we had put in out order, and a manager came bay and we stopped him, and again he went back to the kitchen to check. said it would be right out. When we saw the waiter coming out of the kitchen with someone else's order I told Joe... ok that's it we are leaving. and we did. we went to the bar and told them what we had had drink wise and appetizer and we would pay for that and we were leaving. And we left. This has never ever happened before. we waited not only 45 minutes plus for our salad meal, but two other tables that had arrived after us had been served. We left and went to one of out favorite places. never in all my days had we ever had to do something like this

I am glad you got something to eat. But big bummer that a new-to-you place messed up. That must have been infuriating. That has only happened to me once. Good for you for being assertive.

Happy Birthday Flagryl!!! I'm so sorry I missed it. How fun about the Flip Flops. I think they are very classic. Years ago I flew from AK to my parents home in MI for Christmas. My sister lived close to them and came over Christmas morning. We were wearing the same new JC Penney sweater - bought that week in different states. This is especially odd as our styles are very opposite. We were astonished! Everyone was astonished, lol.
Huronna; I have had thst happen. In our case I asked to see the manager at check out and he voided our bill. Nice of him, but we still did not go back.
Silk; stroked a lion? You always amaze me. It must be getting on Spring for you. Pretty birds galore - if not now, then soon.
Tilly; you are amazing. The things you get done show how bug your heart is. Inspiring!
Grassy... reading your rash tale is painful. I am dealing with a rash too, but not all over; I don't think I could stand that. This is enough nightmare for me.
Speaking of nightmares, I have to focus on some changes in sleeping arrangements so I will bid you all a good sleep and BBS.

This happened once when Ben took me to lunch. We left after 45 minutes...however,I wrote a note to the owners. In the mail a $100 arrived for another lunch. Disappointing when you go out expecting a relaxed meal.

Huronna...... sounds a nightmare, you had to speak to 3 if not more people all who said its on the way, wondered perhaps if they were new staff and the other tables got your order, quite rude of the manager really to not follow up and make sure you got it and give you a free drink as a peace offering! Still having a place you normally go that give the service you like is always best in the long run. I must admit i hate trying new places, i have just 2 restaurants i go to and am happy with that..
Smilyn.... Lovely to see you back, hope everything is ok, thank you for your compliment, i think when you grow up with people who are vulnerable it makes you a better person and have patience, although i do lose it sometimes particularly in traffic queues!!
Grassy, Silk and Flagryl.. I have noticed my vision seems blurry on occasions, but just thought it was because i was tired, i haven't slept well for many years, i wear glasses for reading and distance, but don't wear them all the time.
Last year in February i trimmed all my bushes in the garden took everything to the recycle centre, i have 1 magnolia fairly small, 2 stag horn fairly small and 1 buddleia, this grew after a really heavy pruning they went nuts, grew and grew, i was very late pruning as they should be done the end of September early October, this year i have decided to start pruning and today i took a load of branches and leaves to the recycle centre as garden waste, i am cutting down 1 of the stag horns so i can plant flowers instead which i can manage better. Next week is going to be rain on a few days so may not get more done until its nice again, but its a start..
have a good rest of Sunday everyone.

Posting a pic to show that I tried the product Huronna recommended back in July (which was being used by others here,) and can say it wore well - though I had to use additional coats of the clear twice a week to keep the shine up and the edges down. *I cropped the right hand nails just to keep the photo small. The thumb and pinky are just as nice as the others.

I like your nails Milyn. Most of us use NT on here. It's great stuff.

I definitely think you should write the owner of that restaurant Huronna, terrible and the owner/s should know. We are still enjoying the birthday cake and will watch the Packers play the Bears today, Go Pack. Our best friends are Steelers and we watched Big Ben play at Miami in college so we also cheer for them. A friend we met over 15 years ago watching the Packers at a local pizza place is in town and coming over to watch the game with us this afternoon. He works for same company but for the international division so lives all over and works remotely. He's younger than our kids but a great person, we've met his family and parents when they were alive. All from Wisc originally.
I'm also loving Naliques #2 but cannot wear it and polish for that long or let my nails grow that long, no way. I go 2-2 1/2 weeks and wear a very light pink polish, OPI's Chiffon d of You. I also like to wear Audrey by China Glaze, not a good a polish as OPI but I love the shade.
Silk, how are you? Grassy, glad you are doing better but has the rash reduced enough?

I usually keep the same polish on for 3 weeks, I don't add anything in between. My nails grow fast, so that's why I do them that often. Also after about 2 months, I have to cut them as one of them will crack way down. Before I went to Nashville, my nails we pretty long and one had cracked, a wee crack, too far down , it would bleed if I ripped it off. so I used a tiny dab of super glue and then did my routine. Stayed for three weeks, but then the crack was higher and I was able to cut all my nails down. I like them all the same length and they will grow, will probably have to trim them before I go on the cruise in Nov.
Silk, I did take you suggestion and just sent off an e-mail to the manager of the place we went to last night.

Flagryl, the rash has reduced. I still have a week of Prednisone. Sid says no more kitchen jobs. I know in my heart quitting was the right thing to do, but I am bored and restless. Ha ha. When I am working I wish I were home, when I am home I wish I were working. I looked at jobs for Target and Wal-Mart. I want to work in Holiday Decor. Nothing yet for either place. I also want part time, and they seem to just have full time only at this time. I hope that changes. But that terrible rash is going away - it took over three weeks to get rid of it.

I never looked for what you are suggesting. Maybe that would be a better fit? I seem to find jobs easily, but they seem to not fit for one reason or another. I need a good job that will be a nice fit that I can actually do.
