Flagryl, ha ha, macadamia nuts have been my guilty pleasure these past few weeks. I am sorry your cake is gone, but cantaloupe is a great treat too. I have not yet met a fruit that I have not loved. Nor a nut apparently ha ha. Oh I love all the nuts.

I just found out a very dear friend died in her sleep. She was an Assistant Manager Mgr of an old MSN group I co-managed. 2 years younger than me. Docs removed some kind of cancerous mass but got it all. She was recovering at home and died 11 days after the surgery. We met a few times, she lived in Tiffin OH and we saw one another since it was a short drive from where I used to live in Ohio and then we visited her on our way back from Drew's graduation at Univ of Michigan after we moved out here. I just talked to her a while back and now she's gone.

I have returned, had a lovely time, even stopped in on Joe sister in Sarasota on the way back. They only flew down for four days to check on their place after the last hurricane, they leave tomorrow very early, so we just had time for a quite visit. Now to see what's been happening. Again Flagryl, so sorry for your loss

Good morning, We still have our house guests but we had a gate crasher when the men were cooking the BBQ. It enjoyed some choice steak.

I didn't know that birds ate meat

There are meat eaters( grubs , small lizards etc. ) We don't like to feed meat to the birds though except ocasionally...it's not good for them; preservatives. Seed eaters, and nectar eaters.

I'm just stopping in to say hello. I have had Shingles and been on Steroids. Getting better; fiery itching thankfully pretty much gone. Grey day here. Fall is arriving. Time to clear front planters and put put some fall decs... but not today.
Big bird, Silk! That's in interesting beak line...
Flagryl; I felt the ache in your post. I'm sorry you have lost a dear friend but really glad you got to speak to her so recently. May she travel on Lightly and Brightly. Hugs...
Leaving a wave~~~~~ for everyone else... BBS

Geez Louise, I am so sorry about the Shingles. My Dad suffered with it. We have both had the shots and the upgraded Shingrix, but I suspect you couldn't do that. Oh dear me. I hate those steroids, too. Hang in there sweetie.
Seems like it's coming at me in surround sound. My dear friend Rosemary whom all of you probably recognize, is in a coma and now in hospice. She is in Mesa, AZ a 3 hr drive. We are leaving soon to fly back to MN/Wisc for John's sister's memorial. Rosemary sent me a birthday card, as she has always done with her calligraphy script. She's 10 years older and like a big sister, we've been so close for over 20 years. John asked if I wanted him to drive me down to see her but no response from her son or daughter, of course. This is harder than I ever imagined.

Going to be gone for a couple of days again. Was supposed to be Friday through Sunday, now it's Thursday through Sunday. We'll be driving across the state to Hobe Sound and spending the day with my favorite BIL., he is the bestest and his wife was fantastic also(may she RIP 14 years ago). Then we will stay the overnights at his daughter's, our niece who is also the executor of our trust. She is the bestest of them all also. Friday night, She is having a birthday party for her boyfriend (nice to hear this since she is over 60 ,been divorced for over 20 years, has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. So it's nice that she has a companion, we'll check him out LOL. The next day we're all going to the casino for a few hours then return home on Sunday. Have Ipad will travel. Then as far as we know no trips until Nov 26 and then the cruising will begin again. But with those, I always have my laptop, so you can't get rid of me

It warms my heart to see you Rita, you have been missed!!! I'm sorry you have not been well and I hope that turns around for your sake and ours!! Sounds like a lovely trip Huronna, always nice to see friends. Rosemary's son called me, she died last night. I had been trying to reach her but she went into the hospital the day after my birthday and then into ICU. She couldn't remember the password on her phone and son didn't have it, lesson for all of us. But, she had written her obituary and outlined all the end of life preferences which made it easy for her son and daughter. John and I are trying to figure out if we can make it to her memorial this coming Sat down in the Valley. My birthday in 2018 Rosemary wearing the pink jacket I gave her - March 2022
