Today has been a much better day. We are working on the medication again and changing it around. I feel better in any case. So that is good. Now I need to get motivated to do some auction items. I am behind. How about all of you? How are you all?

I sent back the battery yesterday that didn't fir my cell, and today one arrived that was perfect. Strange because they were the same lot number and everything, but made in China, so who knows. Now I don't have to worry about it shutting off when the power is at 80% It was the first time I had returned anything to Amazon and I was to sent it back by Aug 6th, I sent it yesterday and the new one came today. Wow! And I am not a prime member. Saw my trainer today, good session. Now I'm in the process of doing my nails. In between each coat, there is a long wait time LOL. Tomorrow we are going to work on one of the toilets. It has a phantom flush, intermittently. SO I googled what it could be and we will see if we can fix it tomorrow, if not we'll call a plumber. Sounds like you meds are beginning to work, that's great Grassy. I'm really happy. Talked to Penny and she will be sending in her entries also. So open up that PSP and get motivated LOL. Every day Nickel is putting out new images, so as fast as she does them, I try to get them up at angels. Todays may take a while, because they are all tubable, but that takes a lot more time than a mist.

I forgot to say that Dove Cat slept with me on my side of the bed and she liked my new little throw - a fluffy unifocrn blanket. She doesn't usually sleep on my side of the bed.

Glad the meds are getting adjusted Grassy, and how wonderful Dove is coming over to your side...lovely. Glad your phone is back in order Huronna, what a pain in the...you know what.
I got a pedi yesterday and a haircut today, so I'm spiffy. Waiting for rain here, the monsoons are supposed to show up. Sometime. My back is killing me so must be in the works.
I discovered how to clean the underside of the toilet seats to get them sparkling white. Equal parts of baking soda and white vinegar, apply the paste thoroughly and evenly and let sit 20-30 minutes. Whala You are welcome, Queen of Clean.
My friend who had back surgery is back in the hosptial waiting on tests, was transferred there from the rebab facility. What a situation, I'm sure he is wondering about his life and his wife is just exhausted.
I think we should all take time to cherish oneanother and be thankful for what we have.

Everything is very quiet here. I have WWO to put up, need to finish with with animation though. Right now it's just a jpg LOL eeek gads! What is that? Well the suitcases are out on the spare bed, but empty. Since we don't leave until Monday, I probably won't pack mine until Sunday night, Joe does his little by little each day thinking of something else. We probably could have done with one big one, but 2 smaller ones make it easier. Mine stays nice and neat and I won't describe Joe's HA HA. We aren't used to living out of a suitcase when traveling, so this is going to be interesting. Amazon is the only place that carried this battery because it's not an iPhone and it's an old motorola. Originally we had gone to walmart and Best Buy and they almost laughed at me, said...your best bet is to just buy another phone. I rarely use it, only carry it when I leave the house for emergencies or for maps when we drive some place. so a $12 battery was the way to go. After all it was only a $35 phone LOL.

You have my sympathy Mary. I'm glad you got to say everything and do everything to know he was as comfortable and ready as possible. I hope you can get some rest now. Hugs.
Grassy... glad the meds are working and I know you'll come up with something glittery for the auction. Huronna; you are always working! There sure are a lot of new things for you to play with lately. Christmas every day! Hope your toilet repair goes well - and nice nails to be a handyman with too! Flagryl... thanks for the under seat tip. I don't think we could live without baking soda around here. Miracles happen from that box!
I have 5 months of sobriety today as well as 1 month as a vegetarian without dairy or sugar. I got into a pair of size 16 jeans yesterday. They fit like I was in my 20's headed for a disco, but they zipped and my thighs fit in them. Keeping them was a Faith walk when I had to wear 24's after Long Covid. I do believe I will wear them comfortably again. And I will wear them sober when I do. It's a good day. Next I am tapering down the Klonapin I have been on since 2005 becasue I think it is part of my depression and brain fog. My therapists know and my doctor and sponsor will know next week. I will be very slow and predictable and support myself in other safe ways as I do that. Lots of good change happening for me. Thank you for being here for me to share it with my online sisters. Hugs and love...

How is everyone?
Mary, are you holding in there?
I gotta get cracking on the auctions.

That is great news Grassy. I hope Mary is hanging in there, she says she is and having been there I get it. Though after it sinks in the grief takes a while.
I just finished 4 for the auction and am holding one just in case.
My friend had a heart attack after the surgey, on new meds and hopefully will be back in the rehab place soon. His wife is doing okay considering, daughter is there to help.
I am fine but think I am needing less of my thyroid med after flipping over to hypo earlier this month, sort of felt it today so will cut back tomorrow. I am so fortunate I am in tune with my body and can tell and gage things.
Still on Stage 1 fire restrictions so that means no charcoal grill, getting so DARNED tired of this since we are so used to grilling. I refuse to cook meats in the skillet and since it's warm here now the oven is not the best option. I have been spoiled. Trying to get my husband to look at gas grills, but being the traditional grill guy not sure he will agree. I may have to go on strike.

Been a quiet day here, Joe tried to put the new innards in the toilet, but he just couldn't manipulate his tall body to get into the right positions. And he figured thought I would, I wasn't strong enough to push and turn things. So he got the help of our handy neighbor who did the trick in about 10 minutes. We are counting the day to we see our friend in CT. It's been two years. Though they stayed in our place for a month, we were not here and have not seen them since the year before. Though many years passed inbetween, in the past 5 or 6 years we have been together at least once a year. Don't know if I ever mentioned it, but she and I met in the laundry mat in Italy the first week we were both stationed there. When the boys were out at sea, we traveled around quite a bit. I still have those marvelous Italian bedspreads and table cloths that after 50 years still look brand new. Spill red wine on them and toss in the washer and dryer and whala....like new.
Bed time here, Joe is already sound asleep as he has a dental appt. tomorrow.

Well, it is all done. Celebration of life was this morning at the church. The whole family was there except for Bryan and his family.
They had a very informal luncheon for us. Talked to mom earlier. She says she's doing OK. My Sister and BIL are still with her until tomorrow. They are heading home in the morning. Kathy has a colonoscopy to prepare for.
Mom goes to the knee doctor Monday to see when she can get her knee replacement
Thursday I have to go to the gynecologist. Yippee. I like her but I haven't had yearly exam for a long time.

It's an uplifting feeling to celebrate the life of a loved one. It helps with the grieving I think. I am so glad you are posting and sharing your life experiences with us, bless you Mary.
We finally bought a gas grill after much consernation since it's not John's thing but he agreed. I don't even want to recount all the details and issues w/the purchase and arranging to have it assembled and then the propane hook up to our existing line. Pain in the....we bought a small Weber grill. Now to wait.
Hot here, got up to 91 which is hot here. We had to get out the tower fan we bought and closed down the house of course. Will open the skylights tonight for the cooler air, thank goodness. But only down to low 50s tonight and more of the same tomorrow.
