Thank you all regarding Julien . He told me his butcher won't take money for the meat he wants since he discovered Jules had cancer. So many good people out there. Jules has to put money on the counter and run out. This butcher is the one the restaurant where Jules ( chef ) worked uses . Gave me a chuckle imagining it. Huronna ,that must be a large wound that Joe has. Important that you go with him , I agree. Is CT Connecticut? I hope the retirement function is great. Flagryl, I use a product called Nappysan ( a powder), maybe called something else in the US. I use mainly cotton and linen so can't advise on synthetics. Haven't tried that. Grassy I hope you have more reasonable days.

Hospice is wonderful. We had it for my dad, before he passed away 3 days later. Prayers for your dad Mary. Thinking of you Grassy. Thanks for all the kind words here about my health right now. It's been a rough road this year but doing the best I can. Hubby gets his first cataract surgery come August 27th, here in town.

Silk, that is a wonderful story about Julien's butcher. Love hearing things like that. Derm said his wound looked great and she was glad too finally meet his other half. CT is Connecticut.
The retirement party last night was fantastic. There were about 30 people that showed up. Many were already retired others were people who had worked with Kim over the years and had moved on to other jobs. I remembered many of them and their names, others I recognized but couldn't remember their names. Many of them , the first thing they said to me was "How are you ferrets" yes I was known there as the ferret lady also. Sadly told them that the last one had passed in 2020 and we were petless. Outback was where they had it, a section was closed off for the group. The service was impeccable as it seemed that everyone's orders were brought at the same time. It was not a set meal, everyone ordered and paid for their own meals so to be that organized was quite a feat. I'm hoping someone posts photos on their facebook page and I'd love to grab some.
We are getting company this weekend and it's someone many of you might remember. ReeRee!! She used to be very active here, but as with many members their lives take on different paths. They move, there is bad wifi, computers break. I keep in touch with many of the oldies behind the scenes. Well Ree is making a trip visiting a bunch of her friends and it takes her to my area. So she PM'd me to see if we were going to be around this weekend and luckily we don't have a thing planned. She didn't know is it would be Sat or Sunday, either is fine. just give me a couple hours notice so I cam make sure we are both dressed HA HA. She actually was here back in 2018, a long time ago.

Please Tell ReeRee hi for me and that I think of her often. I will never forget her love for parrots. Enjoy your visit!
I am having a reasonable day. Trying to build back. I am worrying about having a job of course. And also getting some things straight in my personality and getting my House in Order, so to speak. Sometimes, out of insecurity, I tend to either say too much or act out. I am trying to become more comfy just being me. It's a hard skill to learn.
How are all of you? I hope good things are happening!

Well I spent a few hours with Dad again today. Just sitting there holding his hand while he slept mostly. Mom has a chair sottomg tjere by his bedside and I start crying as soon as I sit down. He says :Sweetheart, don't cry" whick makes me cry more. Oh well my tear ducts are getting a workout ! He is quickly going down hill. He couldn't stay awake for long at a time today. I had to keep watching his cr=hest to make sure he was still breathing.
Mom had asked hiiiiiiim to please wait until after she had her knee replacement done and got healed up but who knowsl I really don't think it will be long. My great nephew had surgery today. They had found some tumore on my lymph nodes but weren't sure what it was. He was having those removed today and they were going tobring his stomach up over his esophagus or something like that because of his Barret's disease, which my niece also got fixed on herself a few years ago but they went in there and the tumors were GONE! So they just fixed his Barret's. My Daddy was praying for him this morning.
Ok i'm getting off here for the night. My Niece is flying into Detroit early morning to see her Grandpa/ She's coming from Washington state. I think my nephew in Mass is the only one that needs to see him yet. Don't know. They may just come for the funeral

Oh Mary dear, it's hard doing what you are doing. So many ties that bind and bond. Listen to your Dad, yes hold his hand.
Hi to Ree Ree, it's been a while. Great story Silk about Jules' butcher, I love how kind people support others. Grassy, you are enough regardless. You fill the room with your lovliness, that's more than enough. So, stop. Soak it in.
Talked to my sister in law who is in memory care. She knows who I am and even remembered she gave ME her mother's 9 Shakespeare volumes from 1806. Then she fell alseep, she's 86.
John mailed my mother's china and some china plates from my grandmothers to my niece in Iowa today. I packed them like you would not believe, so hope they make it. Also sent that vintage Danish tea and coffee set circa 1974 to my step son. His wife has Danish ancestry so they are looking forward to Them. I'm going to send the Shakespeare volumes to him as well. They are fragile and I think they belonged originally to John's grandfather when he was in college.

The dishes and volumes sound amazing Flagryl! I hope the Postal Service handles them carefully!

silk, yes he is an amazing man! He became a Christian before I was born, went to seminary, got his PhD and was a preacher for a LOT of years. He has prayed for so many people over the years, done exorcism of people's houses, seen many miracles and has tons of stories. Right now he is reliving his high-school football days, at least that's what he was telling me about the other day. Like I said yesterday he slept a lot.

Hi Lynx, goo to see you. Do we like AI? I personally love it. I don't play with it but we have a few permissions from people at deviantart that use it. In fact your avatar is AI. We have a member here named Nickel wo has a DA site with all he fabulous AI work. Many of our WWO feature her work which is under the name of Leonarda and the site is www.deviantart.com/justleonarda. ReeRee (Marie) arrived yesterday late afternoon. We chatted for a while and then the three of us went out for dinner. Since it was Joe's birthday, he picked the place which is actually right around the corner and our favorite Italian restaurant. "Old Town Pizza" You can see we are having a great time Ree has actually visited me a few time, but the last was in 2018, quite some time ago. So we had a lot to catch up on and so the rest of the evening was spent yakking the night away. She has been driving all over the state visiting people that she knows. Her next stop is actually on of her high school teachers. She should plot the stops on a map, it would make you dizzy. Yesterday morning and afternoon she was about 3 hours from us and later this afternoon she is off to another friends. Joe is at church and when he gets home, we'll be going out for brunch. I will probably totally loose my voice by the time she leaves, but it's well worth it. Even though it's been 7 years, it seems like only yesterday that she was here. I'll be back in force later this evening LOL

Been having trouble with my cell. Ordered a battery from Amazon, mine was loosing power and would only work when plugged in. joe has the same phone and about a year ago his battery just about exploded, so I ordered the same one, it came same make and model, but must be defective because it won’t fit properly, it’s about 1 micro millimeters too big, so had to fill out the return stuff on line and the. Dig through pout recycle bin, looking for the packing material. Have it all wrapped with all the labels ready for drop off tomorrow. All this for a $12 battery that the stores do t carry because it’s an old cheapo phone.
Just really tired tonight, have a tut onmy workspace and the tube, but didn’t have the energy, so just watching TV with Joe.
Ree left about 3 to go to her next spot, she texted that she had arrived round five. She is seeing tons of people, many for overnight, and a couple for h just a few hours. We had a lovely time, both of us are probably with sore throats from yakking so much.

Well, I am glad you had fun even if the phone is being a pain. Maybe tonight is a good night to relax anything.
I got a waterPik so I need to read the directions for it.
