OhmyWord Tilly, what a horrific experience. I got worn out just reading this. Rest up!
We drove out behind the San Francisco Peaks today, beautiful day and lovely to see more snow on the north side of the Peaks. Ski area is still open but only decent up top. I painted my nails Strawberry Fields pink today, same as on my toes. I have a pedi this week and will stay w/same color.

Today, I celebrate 10 years of sobriety! In that time, I have discovered that cake is good. Cancer stinks. Books are wonderful. Dandelions are amazing. Pancreatitis is awful. Laughing is awesome!
It is the Month of Celebrating. Wanna tag along and celebrate some more with me?
On May 12, 2014, I decided to choose happiness. I decided to choose life. I quit my stressful job, I made some life changing decisions, and I bought my last 12 pack of beer.
I moved back home to be happy, but I was miserable. Nothing was happening. I wasn't connecting with anybody. My life was a bust.
So by midnight on May 12, I had my last drink and on May 13, 2014, my life began. I am constantly evolving and changing as the work that is me ebbs and flows.
It's been happy and scary and tricky and funny and hugely blessed. And I am so thankful for all of you! MWUH! Big orange tigerlily love to you all! I have found my heart's desire and it was right in my own backyard the whole time. Where the heart is.

Congratulations, Grassy! Woohoo!!
NP told me Friday that I'm prediabetic which I have been for years but I wanted to go ahead and start taking metformin. Mike told me horror stories about it as he takes it. Took my first one this moring. So far so good. haha
I have been good for nothing today! Guess I did too much PSPing over the weekend. Nope, i have a buttload of tutorials bookmarked to work on. I think I have one more to have all my entries done for the Zone. I slept all morning. Grr

I took Metformin for a while back when I was prediabetic. It wasn't for me, but remember, Mary, everyone is different. My sister takes it and she gets along great on it. I got switched to another medication and I am doing great on that one. We're all different.
Tilly, yikes! I hope you can rest now and get some warm fish and chips.
Flagryl, I have never been where you are right now. I bet it is beautiful.

I hope the med works out for you Mary, good to keep that under control. Grassy, I love Minnesota. Grew up on the lakes, sure miss it.
I had a good PT session today, she's giving me strenth exercises to do 3 times a week and some minor stretching everyday. I bought a massage gun which will help the muscles. I've now completed all my tests for the shoulder surgery: x-ray, EKG and labs. Our dear friends who used to spend the summer up here need to stay down in Mesa because he is not doing well, heart and mobility issues. So we are driving down this Sunday for a short visit, have lunch with them and then head over to Trader Joe's in Scottsdale instead of going to Prescott like we normally do. Guy is coming tomorrow to seal our blacktop driveway, needs to be freshened.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Checking in for May. Sorry for my delay in replying here. Had two teeth pulled out last Thursday. Getting all 11 of them done and get false teeth hopefully in 6 months. My left eye is giving me fits and I'm doing the best I can. Got to see both of my son's on Mother's Day. Had a great time. I'm sorry to say I won't be requesting anymore tags from here. It breaks my heart but it's coming down to this. I'm will come by and said a quick hello once in a while. But done collecting this wonderful tags from the people that enjoy making them. God bless you all.

Dear Margie,
It was you that got me started on collecting tags when you had your chat group.
That was so long ago but we had fun and some good laughs.
Good luck with your teeth and eye. I'm in the same boat with my right eye.
I know you and John will hang in there together through thick & thin right
along with your furkids and your two very special sons.
Please keep in touch when you're up to it my friend.
You'll be greatly missed and never forgotten!
(((Margie)))

That's sad news Margie. Flagryl, you know how much I care. Grassy, a remarkable achievement. Huronna, thank you for always thinking of me. As you see, I am wearing your adorable set. One of my favourite fonts too. Tilly...how awful for you. Mary I hope the meds work for you. Joe has made a step for me to aid in getting the wheelchair in the car, plus we have one of those gadgets to hook onto the car for me to hold on to. I go for a CT Scan soon. My best wishes to everyone. ♥

we have company arriving this afternoon and they will stay until Sunday Afternoon. They live about 75 miles south of us, a bit further than Sarasota. We met on a cruise about 12 years ago , were at the same table for dinner each night. In those days you had regular tables and same waiters. It was a nice way to meet people , if you got along. It was easy then with no animosity regarding politics. Any way, the husband had a medical appt at my hospital the week after we all got back. I told them to give us a call and they could spend the night instead of driving home after a long day. Turns out, he was admitted to have a pacemaker installed, she called and asked if she could spend the night .......she spend five days with us and of course during my breaks I would go up on the floor and visit him. We have not seen them since before Christmas, so it's a long needed visit. She directs and acts in the community playhouse, so with her schedule and Joe's million of appts in the past three months, this was the first open weekend for all of us. So It should be a great visit. And don't pass out, I'm actually cooking dinner tonight. HA HA
Silk you look lovely in your new clothes LOL and I did pick that font especially for you also. I knew you like it. We have all kinds of gadgets around the house to make things easier for Joe also. Next week starts a bunch of new tests for him, An MRI of his brain, cognitive test (4 hours) driving test and a few other things. Personally , except for his mobility which is better now, but a far cry from a few years ago, His memory is the same. NONE ha ha , but I still love him

I have several doc appts next week, getting set up for the surgery. John had an MRI and the cognitize test, too. He's still my one and only.
We had to cancel the trip down to the Valley, road issues on 17 and after my Pedi I realized I can't do 6 hours in the car and staying down there even for one night is not an option right now. My friends may be able to arrange to come up for the summer, she's trying to make arrangements and, of course, John can help them get settled.
We attended a neighborhood mtg sponsored by our county about the forest thinning projects on the land adjacent to our house. So glad it will be done mechanically so the timber will be hauled out instead of waiting and burning piles, expensive but they got some much needed funding because of flood control. The area on the Peaks is a top priority because if a fire starts there again, it's a BAD situation and flooding in the aftermath will be catastrophic. FS is closing roads and access so transients cannot camp. Last year, a transient lit his toilet paper and the fire burned half the mountain and the flooding after the monsoons devastated the City of Flagstaff. It's gotten to the point you can't trust people to do the right thing.
It was great to see our neighbors, some very nice and good people out here. Many we've known for over 20 years.

Since most of you know I don't do much cooking, I did make dinner Friday night for our friends. Not easy because the husband is more picky that I am. even when we go out it is sometimes strange. But I succeeded with I bought gnocchi that had to be sautéed in butter, at the same time I sautéed some small tomatoes for color, and then I added a pesto cream sauce to it. (that was in a little container) I bought a package of premade salad, peach with gorgonzola and walnuts. Good old texas garlic toast. Cheesecake factory variety for desert. ANd wine for the ladies since the boys don't usually drink.
Tomorrow I see dracula because I have my 6 month appt with my PC the week after. Have my list of semi-problems already written.

Your dinner sounds delish, Huronna! Best of everything with the bloodwork!
Glad you got to see your neighbors Flagryl. Hope your pre-ops go well. Best to John on his tests too.
Hi Silk, best of everything to you as well.
I have been working in PSP, trying to get two animations to happen on one tag - like glitter and water. It's harder than it looks. Huronna and all you guys make it look easier than it is, which makes me appreciate those tags all the more. It's fun though, and I will eventually get the timing down and go aha. CDO closes in 8 days, but I have not bought anything. I can't think of anything I need when there is so much free stuff at Angels and elsewhere. I feel kind of bad.

Grassy, you want your glitter frames to be divisible by the number of your water frames. If your water frames are 12 for example, then your glitter frames could be 3. You would press the Shift key and the right arrow to highlight and then hit copy and paste all the 3 frames "after current". Going to the last frame each time. Original is 3 + 9 =12. Then Layer but selecting all the glitter frames, copy. Go to the water frames. Select all and then paste into selected frame. Save as MNG so you can layer onto your tag base with the same number of frames.

Grassy, there are many ways of doing things but I layer parts of my tag and bring them into AS. For example, I might add Alien Skin constellation to a part of an image that I have cut out with the lasseo in PSP, paste as a new image in PSP and duplicate it 3 for 4 times and apply constellation on each layer using the random selection for each. Save as mng and then in AS bring it up and layer it onto my larger image or tag. You can also just c/p part of your image into AS and then apply noise or underwater and then c/p and layer as you wish. Need to make sure you have your tools at the top of AS for quick use, View and then select. I also use CTRL A to highlight all, just quicker for me.

Ooooooo thanks Flagryl! I knew I had to divide by three (my number of glitter layers) but I was having trouble figuring out how to get the water on there just perfect perfect. Thanks!

All my tests are done, everything is good. Saw my endocrinologist and the ulta sound of my thyroid has not changed and my blood test shows I'm right where I need to be. Had my Pre-Op today and talked to hospital admissions yesterday. I bought a couple of surgery shirts that snap from the top of the neckline on down the shoulder to the bottom of the shirt so will be easy to slide off and on with help snapping, lol.
I'm not going to submit any entries for the Zone Auction. Too close to my surgery date and since a lot of people wait several days to respond and request, I won't be able to fulfill them. Next time.
I have some books lined up to read, even bought the new King: A Life. My daughter said it should be required reading. I cannot believe how enthralling and interesting this biography is to read. It moves along and keeps my interest. And, I'm not a fan of non-fiction.
