This is especially for Grassy, I did these the other day and finally got around to getting a photo for you. Really hard to take a photo with an ipad , my hands aren't really that wrinkly.

I love the tubes! Purple and yellow and blue and orange are two of my favorite color combos!
Thursday was my birthday so I decided to do something I have never done in my life - and I can now see why. I had cake for breakfast. And then I had another large slice for dinner. Friday it felt as if I were hungover. But I did not drink alcohol (in a few days I will celebrate ten years of sobriety.) I felt just awful. I can only say it is because I had so much sugar the day before. I am getting old LOL.
I am fine today, so I plan to get out my summer clothes, except Dove Cat is asleep on the bed so I don't want to bother her. She saw her first rabbit today. It was the cutest thing EVER! She even got up on her tippytoes to watch the bunny hop across the lawn. She was enchanted by it.

The salon owner who does my nails is going to a black tie wedding of her cousin in Philly next weekend. Very upscale. She borrowed an elegant black low cut, back and front, dress with a sort of small train with sheer insert of tiny rhinestones. Stunning. So, she came over today and is taking some of what I believe are my grandmother's rhinestone earrings, my mother's 50s heart necklace and her stunning pin. The earrings are long and heavy which is why I thing they were from the late 1920s early 30s, my grandmother's. My mom was tiny. I also gave her some smaller rhinestone earrings that were my mother's just in case. I can't wait to see the pics. My friend was a Miss Arizona contestant when she was 18. She has kept herself in good shape and is gorgeous in a very natural way given all her outdoor activities of hiking, kayaking and walking. Her name is Heidi.

Working on the Zone Auction entries. Have one more to go. I always like to make new things for auctions, surprise tags LOL Looks like grocery store visit today, No milk, no salad stuff, no yogurt , no fruit. cupboard is barren. Went to the gym 3 days in a row, so I'll take today off and go to grocery store instead. That's enough exercise, bringing all the stuff in side and putting it away. Joe used to be a lot of help with that, but now not so much, a little more than 3 months ago, but still not like he used to be able to. Oh well, such is life and aging LOL

When is the deadline for the Zone auction?
Life is pretty great right now. It's been a quiet day. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow. I feel well, so I think things are going a ton better.
How is everyone?

I need to do a blood draw next week for my surgery but it's not fasting, yea! We've been having a very nice time w/my daughter and grandson who is graduating from Victoria University in BC the week I have my surgery. So he came to me. He's finished classes and is looking for employment, Fine Arts major in Film. Ideally he'd like a screen writing gig. We've had such fun playing UNO and talking about our favorite films and books. I just finished The Covenant of Water by Abraham Verghese, big fat book so beautifully written. Highly recommend it. Just starting The Killers of the Flower Moon, want to read it before I see the movie.

Wondered where you were, what fun spending time with family. I used to be an avid reader, but I'm terrible now. Guess my addiction is elsewhere. I get my blood drawn in two weeks. must be the time for annual or sem-annual check for some and surgery for some others. ANy idea how one you will be in the hospital post-op?

Only one night, or maybe I'll go home and not stay if I feel like it. It's an option.

HI all so sorry not posted much in the last few days.
Wish there were more hours in the day to do everything.
Friday i painted my back fence and when i had finished my sister said 'can we get chips for tea as thats what i fancy', personally i wasn't bothered as we have lots of food to eat, anyway off we went, got stuck in traffic as there had been an accident, police and ambulance were there, and 2 bashed cars, took us half an hour to get to the chip shop which should have taken 10 minutes. Not heard anything about the accident so i hope the people were ok. Once in the chip shop i ordered our tea, waited for it to be cooked, 10 minutes later we took a detour the opposite way home so we didn't have to queue again, only to then get a puncture, called my mechanic friend who brought me a spare and put on so we could get home, we had left our house at 4.45pm and got home just after 7pm, didnt fancy my cod and chips but ate some and binned the rest as it was almost cold what a waste.. Today went to the garage to get tyres and the driver back was looking flat, turns out that had a very slow puncture to, £160 sheesh crazy money, still the car is driving more steady now.
Hopefully nothing else will go wrong and we enjoy this nice weather the UK is having at the minute.
Have a great rest of the weekend and chat soon
