Thank you Silk. I will let it go and check tomorrow. It's funny though; I can see images and Av's just fine at AD. They are both ProBoards. A head scratcher! Have a good day Silk. We are nearing dinnner here... After Backgammon.

Good afternoon. So cold today that I've dug out a pair of leggings. Joe had a call today from New Zealand telling us that his son Michael was rushed to hospital and must undergo a heart by-pass. He is 59 and the second son to have this. Both are fit and slim physically . A bit of a shock. Mark, the other was round the same age when he had his. Joe had a quadruple and new valve four years back. We spoke to Mike today and he sounds in good spirits.

Oh dear, Silk... I will keep Mike in my prayers. We lost a friend in that age group to a massive heart attack... John was very healthy and active - had never smoked wither. Strange... Hoping everything goes smoothly!

Silk, definitely sounds genetic and I bet after the first son they were monitoring the second one also. Sounds like good results, hope he keeps improving.

Just got done having a Velcro fight. Let me explain. My desk has a pull out shelf where my keyboard goes. But our den really doesn't have sufficient light, i like keeping lights off my monitor. So I have an under the top of the desk light that shines down on the keyboard. well after many years, the Velcro holding it wasn't holding very well and I would have to push up the light (it's about 18 inches long up on the wood so it didn't fall on the keyboard. You know I have enough trouble with my spelling with out anything additional. So there I was on the floor, had to remove the shelf, and then remove the old Velcro. I needed plyers to get ahold of a corner to pull, Thankfully I am pretty strong because there was a definitely fight between me and the Velcro, but I won. New Velcro replaced, light back up, shelf back on and I'm pooped. Felt like I was in a ten round wrestling match.

Well done Huronna. I have enough trouble with the velcro on my shoe.

Oh Silk, you just bring out the best...I'm still laughing. Huronna, glad you have the strength to wrestle with the velcro. Nothing much new here except the rain for which we are very glad. Flooding below the fire scar did not live up to the fears everyone had because of some huge efforts on the part of many.

So glad the rain was not as bad as expected Flagryl. We owe much to those people who work so hard when the elements decide to cause trouble. We are entertained this morning by a helicopter dropping off materials for the the Parks and Wildlife people. Just behind us.

We are recording the Olympics but watched a movie last night, will pick and choose. I love watching choppers. I just watched a mule deer doe come out of the woods to chase a female coyote and her youth who were patroling our fenceline. She went right after them and chased momma over the hill. Don't mess with our mule deer. I've seen this before and it's amazing to witness. We got 1.7 inches of rain last night and more on the way. We've finally caught up to normal precip after our terrible drought this last winter/spring.

Hopefully that rain will help put out some of those fires. Got a PM from Varsha over at Angels. Her son got Covid, then her husband and then she got it. Luckily the men had slight cases and hers was worse, but she is recuperating. Don't know if she was vaccinated, she lived in the UK. Got my 6 zone entries done for their Sept auction. Got the entire folder saved in Box, because you never know. Asked Penny if she needed more because Jackie is in the process of moving back to the UK. SO I might throw a couple more together. I don't need the zonies, but I love to tag and things are slow everywhere.

We too are watching the Olympics. Varsha makes frequent trips to India to see family so she will miss that. The Delta strain is so bad. Cases keep escalating round Sydney and I don't know when I will see my boys. Ben's birthday tomorrow. Joe's grand daughter was hospitalized after the vaccine with a severe reaction. I can't believe that people would protest about Lockdown as they are in Aus. I can't believe how slow it is everywhere. That's amazing Fragryl that the deer chase the Coyotes. What a sight it must be. Mary, Grassy, Milyn and Angel...I hope you're OK. Happy hour is nigh so I'll wish everyone the best.

I checked with Varsha, they all had been vaccinated. She didn't know what strain as she wasn't told. People here are very unhappy even with the slightest discussion about mask mandates. That crap head Fauci is now saying that even people who were vaccinated should wear a mask. Next he'll be saying two or three, like he did before. I swear even a sniffle is being diagnosed as covid. OK I'll shut my mouth.

It's all confusing. A bit of commonsense should prevail. When thousands of people gather to protest either way does it do any good? The Government here has decided to lockdown until cases are not galloping as they are now. When I visit my doctor we both take our masks off. He of course is fully vaccinated and I have trouble breathing. I wear it when I leave his room. I can't imagine having to wear more than one mask. Relatively Aus. doesn't have a huge number of cases. I just want to see my sons.

My time to vent, scream and pull out my hair. no it's not about Covid, or PSP, it's about talking until you are blue in the face and it goes in one ear and out the other. All electronic devices connections thingies are not interchangeable. Even though they might fit in the slot, they are not always compatible. The last time this happened, Joe had his phone plugged in to the electric with some other connection device that he found somewhere in his junk drawer. Maybe at that moment he couldn't find the right one, even though it was probably on his desk. So of course when he goes to use his phone, the battery is dead. So the first thing I did was check this connection cord with my phone and though it did fit, it didn't charge either. I went through a slew of things , don't ask me what is for what, half of them are probably for his cricket phone that we threw away, but he can't throw anything away. So I found two of the correct things and I taped a note to the two pf them that said PHONE!! So tonight he says. I can't get my phone to work. Where is it? in the kitchen. Why don't I see the note called phone on the cord? Well this one fit. ARGHHHH..here we go again. Where is that wall that I talk to. so I explain it all to him yet again (and I will probably have to do it a few more times in the next month) If I wasn't trying to loose the 5 pounds I have put on in the past month or so from eating out, I would be an alcoholic.

Good news about the surgery. Hmmm Hoarder....I won't even go there. That's why when we built this house, we made it a three car garage, knowing we only would have 2 cars, but it holds all his "treasures" and I use that term loosely

Hoarder? I do not even want to go there. Both my sister and I have married men that are just like our dad. Our dad would keep everything because he might need it and could fix that. So there it is. The bad parts off our dishwasher are in a box in the shed. Why I do not know. Jerry has fixed it twice with new parts but both times he kept the old ones. That is just an example. We do not have trash pickup here at the ranch and John takes everything that is garbage to the dumpster at his hotel he works at but we are limited to one bag a week. We burn the burnable trash in our fire pit. We take metal to the place that buys aluminum and other metals but we wait until we have a trailer load. Ok enough venting. Huronna, the charger might have an end that fits but voltage and polarity has to be a match. We have a number of chargers but look at the output carefully before actually plugging them to any device because you can ruin your devices your trying to put power to. Every wall plug should have printing on them to say what the output is. We both have Apple devices so the power plug that takes the USB end has to have at least 1.5 amp output to charge them. There are many items now that use a USB cord to charge if you use one that has 1.5 output but the device only needs .75 amp it will not hurt to use that plug. But it has to have at least the amperage that the device takes. The things that take a round plug to the device has to have the correct polarity and voltage output or you could burn it up or not charge it at all. Ok I have confused you enough. I am so used to doing these things I forget that most people do mot know this. I have tossed all of the USB power plugs that are not 1.5 amp output. Our left over inventory had many different outputs. Really hot here and trying to get things done outside in the heat is impossible. We go out but come back inside to get cooled. We do jot stay out long. I was dripping sweat from just picking the squash and tomatoes from the garden yesterday. Baxter would rather be in my lap than be outside. I walk my blind boy about 6 times a day but not long. Just long enough for him to go potty. That is when Baxter goes out too. The blind girl uses the dog door to go out to the dog yard on her own. Baxter’s latest picture is on my Facebook thread. We leave on our three day camping trip Friday. It is supposed to rain all weekend here. The gardens will be fine. Sandy will take care of my two blind dogs. They live here on the ranch so we do exchange pet sitting when the others are gone unless we take the pets along. Baxter will go with us. I swear he can hold his potty for 12 hours. I do not make him do that. He goes out at night before we go to bed and if he needs out before I get up he wakes me up but that is a rarity. Only twice in the 6 months I have had him. We are going to Kansas for my cousins 50th anniversary. We will be camping on lakefront space in a nice RV park not far from the celebration. It is about 5 1/2 hours from here. To far to drive up and then drive back after the event on the same day. Was not even going to suggest we even go but Jerry decided we would take the motor home and camp. Growing up we were with cousins all the time. Growing up together has made us really close. They are more like siblings to me. We’ll best get off here and get things moving before it gets hotter out. This is the coolest part of the day. I will try and send a picture over the weekend.

Thanks for the charger information, of course that went in one ear (of my husband's) and out the other I saw Baxter, he sure is getting cuter every day
With the increase in Delta cases and CDC coming out with new guidelines, things are all now changing...yet again. Up until this morning we didn't need that rapid Covid19 pcr test to go to Malta, now we do. So there is something else I have to find and schedule, along with everything else.
Oh , I just looked out the window and it sure is dark out there. is it imitating my mental state right now? Thunder has been heard. My neighbor is having Frontier Fios installed this morning. She had Spectrum, but they kept raising her prices. They were way higher than we were paying and for less service. Here comes the rain. Guess I can turn off the sprinklers so they don't go on tomorrow morning. Good, that keeps my water bill down.
Have to go to the gym early because we have an appt at 3 and that is usually when we are still at the gym. Things are moving along with the auction, yeah! another good one coming up weekend after this one. I better get busy behind the scenes
See you all later

Well, I guess you don't want to hear that I've lost the 3 lbs I gained over the holidays LAST year and during covid. Didn't take them off in early 2021 so they hung around my behind and took up residence. Got back into my skinny jeans and plan on losing 1 more lb. Not giving up my wine just the carbs and sugar, hard living with a sweet-toothed carbo king. But I bit the bullet and really cut the carbs and the sugar except in the wine. I use loseit.com and it gives me a carb read and I use that.
Can't imagine that heat back in the Midwest, terrible. Been cool and rainy here with HUGE downpours. Downspout that runs down under our paver patio is blocked. John has tried a snake and took some of the downspout apart, no cigar. We are having a guy out tomorrow. Biggest issue is the water purifier cartridge under the sink is leaking. New cartridge, not cheap, but ordered a new one that is supposed to arrive today. I just hope it's not the bracket and we don't have to call a plumber. Perhaps John and install it, who knows.
I hate all these electronic accessories, et al. I have a box in my closet. Cleaned it out a few months ago, my old old stuff. My old iPad now has apps that won't work and the new mini isn't due out this this fall, been promised forever. Probably be next year, who knows.
Huronna, I hear your frustration. Gryl, you are about ready to explode. Forget those 5 lbs for now, not worth it. Have a glass of wine and toast the day. That's what Silk would do, right? Me too, I'll join you. I'm sure it's not easy managing everything these days. You've taken on alot. Take a deep breath, breathe. Not everything worth doing is worth doing well. I'll use that in a WordArt Challenge soon.
