So we had to call the plumber out to free up the drain from the downspout, he had the tools as the clog under the patio was a ways from the house. We couldn't break it loose with our hose or any rods we had. He also solved the water filter cartridge problem, the seal had broken from the upper bracket. He fixed it. Yea!
John took the mats out of our cars and I scrubbed them clean and rinsed them. His job is to vacuum the insides of our cars. His is filthy as it's been off road so many times doing his repeat photography work. I have to go out to Home Depot tomorrow so will get my free car wash at my nearby Honda dealer and hope to be back home before it rains. Going to stop and see a friend and borrow a book on the way home.
I think that carcas is left over from deer season, they packed out the meat but left the head. Small buck so the antlers weren't worth anything. I think an animal had dragged it around because it was in a different place a month ago.
I got an email from Safeway where we got our covid shots and although I have the hard copy of the certificate, I can now download a ditial one to my phone or computer. Nifty.

Finally got out flight itinerary for Malta is Sept. It's a Viking cruise and apparently Viking has chartered Lufthansa to fly directly from Newark to Malta. WOO HOO, that makes things a lot easier. Then we only have the Tampa to Newark connection. I had read they were doing this, but until you see your name on it, you aren't' sure. Well I better get busy uploading auction entries for next weekend and my challenge and Angels monthly challenges. I'll be around

Hello all... Been busy. We are working a lot across the street on the house we are selling. I have been doing many of things that are a stretch for me, painting shutters on ladders and from roofs - pruning branches from rooftops and carrying them about, ground help with rope assisting tree limbing. It is good PT. The personal trainer that I hired last week will probably be pleased - except for today's bit. Today I fell - did a face plant in the yard, actually. My feet got snagged in vines I had been pulling off a huge shrub and when I turned (realizing I was tired,) my left foot wouldn't lift over a loop and my right snagged a different one and I pitched. Fortunately I managed a magical fall; I was watched by a hired worker (as if in slow motion) as I bent my knees, hit on them, bent my elbows, rolled onto them, landed on my chin still rolling, tucked my head and took the rest on my forehead and the bridge of my nose - which I managed not to break. Lots of guardian Angels involved; no rocks or tools were fallen on and other than scrapes on knees, elbows and chin and some swelling on my nose I am pretty good. Well, pretty good includes feeling like I have been on the wrong end of a baseball bat, but pretty good all things considered. I was lucky. Just wanted to say hello and let you know I'm still here - and leave good luck wishes for all. I don't think I used it all up, but try not to need some for a bit, ok? HUGS~~~

Glad you have the itinerary all worked out Huronna, it's going to be a great cruise. OMWord Milyn, I sure hope you haven't pulled or strained anything. Goodness gryl...last time I did anything like that I was in my late 20s. I hope you are going to be okay.
Did my errands today and got home with a nicely washed car before it rained. We need to go back to the Midwest and take care of some things with John's older sister who is in an independent living situation, she is slipping mentally day by day. Looks like the cabin, his reunion and my birthday celebration back there will not work as we need to go sooner. It's okay with me because with this new plan I will get to see my oldest grandson before he's off to college in BC.

EEK gads Milyn, are you trying to be an acrobat? A few months ago I was up on a ladder cleaning out gutters. I was fine fut after I thought what if..... We are having the arbolist come tomorrow. Some of the trees are really in need of trimming. They are lying on the roof. He was here 3 years ago and did a great job, but thing in Florida have a tendency to grow really fast.

Milyn...never a dull moment with you but not the right sort. That could have been so much worse. Seems you should take things easy for a good while. Good news regarding your Malta cruise Huronna. A good thing to get those tree branches off the roof. Flagyl that sounds like a long trip ahead of you but how lovely to see your grandson. I've been in bed most of today...nausea etc. and weak. My brain isn't functioning well either since I want to fall asleep made worse by having to take a muscle relaxant for my leg that keeps jerking painfully. Trying to get my last set for the auction but trashing everything so far. I still managed ' happy Hour ' and saw a beautiful Catbird from my window. Called that because it's call sounds just like a cat meow. A lovely irridescent green. I can see the garden from my bedroom window. Dinner will be the French vegetable soup made yesterday with Joe's help. Woohoo...no cooking today. Just need to grill the garlic bread.

Catbird....funny you mentioned that. I had thought my husband was kidding when he said that was what I was hearing and not a "tom" calling a lady. Of course Joe does say some strange things. I remember way way back then when we were driving some place I saw this bird that looked like he had one red wing. Joe said it was a "red shouldered ship shover" A WHAT? After investigating it was a red winged blackbird. what is next?
