Oh Silk, I hope you get better as it's terrible to not feel well. That Midwest Porn food is very common. My friend from the gym who is from Mississippi says we didn't start it, they did. LOL

You have to be careful if you google for that. It's like the time we used the word twinkles and someone googles for that. Benn busy getting a zillion photos from one of the photographers we have permission from. He does all those dance contests. And we have decided on yet another cruise. But it is way in the future.

Pouring down rain, hard. Flood warning for those in the low areas and beneath the Mt Elden burn site, streets in Flag are running like rivers. Of course, we are high and need the rain.

Pretty nails Flagryl!
I am sorry you are unwell Silk. I hope tomorrow will see you better.
What in the world is Midwest Porn Food? I don't dare search as I got caught up in that Terrible Twinks Search! LOL!
I am having a Lymphedema (LE) flare. Blah!
My shoulders and neck hurt - and my fingers. I am also having brain fog issues because I am really tired. Pain makes a person sooooooo tired. I am taking Pregabelin (generic Lyrica). With the war on opiates and with my sensitivities, there are few I can take and I need to save those for emergencies such as broken bones and surgeries. Also, some docs are just too paranoid to prescribe for certain things.
I've been working on auction things too. Hee hee, it takes a couple hours to make the tag and then a day and a half to choose the font har har.
My Sweet Little Mama's 87th birthday is Monday. I have no idea what to get her or do for her.

87, that is fantastic! It sure is difficult to get someone a present. The best presents are get togethers with lots of love and laughter. My last birthday was so much fun, it was probably the best time in a long time. Well we booked another cruise yesterday, now we have 6 in the works. I had folders for each of them, and a spread sheet for when final payment needs to be made, when I can choose the shore excursions, when to chose the specialty restaurants, when flights are due and during which beak in cruises is long enough to renew passports. I feel like a travel agent LOL It's been two years since we went to Vietnam and Cambodia and you know how we love to travel. Our first cruise is in Sept this year. to Malta, Croatia and Montenegro. But first in Aug we go to Providence RI for a reunion for one of my husbands ships and then a week with friends. oh and all of our cruises have unlimited wifi, so laptop will be making the trips with me LOL and Ipad of course also. You can't get totally rid of me.

Grassy, I did a search for What is Midwest Porn Food. All it came up with is sex porn and mega food meals. So I am as lost as you and now I will probably get lots of Porn ads. “Black Dog” has me befuddled too. Not going to look that up.
Beautiful weather here. Just mid 80s for highs. A few days of rain off and on then a few days of sun. Picked black berries once and got tiny thorns in my hands. I think we might have gotten them out. One long scratch on the barbed wire fence and lots of blackberry juice on my hands. The stained hands came really clean with dish water. I think I will leave the rest for the birds. I have enough to make a blackberry cobbler for hubby but that is all I want to do. Mama turkey has brought her brood of 7 back to our yard and back pasture three days in a row now. Those babies are almost as big as she is. We have a driveway alert since the driveway is so long. Last night a herd of deer went in front of it on their way to our front pasture. We actually have two senders on the driveway. The deer only went past one so jumped the fence there and so I did not get up to look. If they had came past the second one I would have known it was a no good prowler and the solar lights would come on. So far no one has ventured up to the house in the dark. When we first came here I flipped lights on when the alert went off and the car turned and left quickly. Word must get out. Since we park vehicles in the garage no one can tell if we are home or gone. So no one takes a chance. We target practice with our pistols at times for our CCW tests. The drug people down the road can hear that too. Sherriff will not even talk about our road. LOL past our place the road dead ends and the folks down there have signs to “keep out” we call it the “lock and load” area. We do not go down that way any more. Only took once. Now don’t get me wrong. They stay away, they do not bother any of us on the road. They do not want the cops coming down there. So their meanness is done away from our area if they do any. I think they make and sell meth. The Sherriff will patrol our road a lot and have stopped some but think they only come as far as our driveway. Never seen one go toward the dead end. Our internet is getting worse every day out here. We live to far out for cable so use our cell phones for hot spots. My phone is fairly new. Got it a year ago. IPhone 11. So not to old. Wish it was better. Tried the telephone internet on landline but it was slower than dial up. Had to stick with that a year then cut the landline out.yes we live in the “hick sticks”. Would not trade it for city life though. Love living in the country with wild life for neighbors. Well I have read everything. Forgot whom said what. To many Joes associated here too. LOL I feel badly for those with ills and pain. I know what constant pain is. Until knee replacement I lived with that. Now almost pain free. Only if I over do things will I be uncomfortable. I am glad Arizona got rain but sorry it flooded the streets and cause havic. Bet the fires are out though. Oreagon is burning now along with other western states. Sad about those dang fires. We have hospitals here overflowing with Delta Variant of Covid and emergency patients can not gets beds. 99% and 100% of the covid patients have had no vaccines. I predicted and it has not happened yet that these variants will get worse and worse until no vaccine will stop it. We shall see. We have had both of ours but sister and her hubby were not going to get them until this outbreak. Now each have had their first one. Time to shut up I think. Stay safe and have a good evening.

Whispy, Black Dog is a Led Zeppelin song. It could also be a reference to a demon shapeshifter from British folklore. Like you, I am sure not going to look it up! Ha ha ha!
I have had a dumb stupid migraine too. I called a place for work today and I just plumb forgot my stupid phone number! OMG I sounded like a complete dingdong! I know - how often do I call myself, but Jeez Louise!

Good morning. Whispy..the ' black dog ' is a term for depression here in Aus. I wasn't game to look for porn food having still in my memory the ' twinks' thing way back. It sounds as if it could get a bit dangerous out where you live. So the turkey...is it a native bird or one that has gone feral? Huronna...you should get lucky with a cruise or two. Grassy, I agree with Huronna regarding the birthday gift and by the way I am the opposite to you ...I sometimes make a WWO and wish I could have made it for the auction. I hope you're soon feeling better. Thank you Flagryl and Grassy I am feeling rather better today but I think my cleaner isn't coming...ugh!! I love this girl but she is unreliable. I don't have the energy to look for someone else. Nothing happening here that will cause the least excitement . Raining.

Huronna please tell Joe I wish him a Happy Belated Birthday please. Sorry I'm late in posting this here. It's the 6th anniversary [July 15, 2015] that my husband John had open heart surgery. He had triple bypass and stent done up at Mercy Medical in Des Moines , Iowa. He was there in the hospital for a week and our friend Kenny took us up there and I went home .. That's the first time we were apart since we met back in Sept of 1989. I'm so blessed to have him in my life and pray it continues. Also tomorrow I have to go back to our Foot Doctor again. This time I have a ingrown toenail on my right foot. I have had these before and they're painful. Hopefully this won't be that way, since I caught it early. Speaking of cancer, I had ovarian cancer back in Sept of 1991 and had a hysterectomy, and no chemo needed. Have been cancer free since then. My mom Joyce had ovarian cancer but she had to have surgery and chemo but died of congestive heart failure in March of 1997. I wasn't there when she passes away, she died in her sleep. I was heartbroken about that to. Cancer runs in my family and it's a terrible disease . I pray for those who have lost love ones or battling it right now.

Silk the turkeys are natural here. They are wild. We do put corn out for them during the summer. If we are here we do that in winter too. They are not hunted by us. We rarely hunt anything. We would rather shoot with our cameras and watch the wildlife. Deer bring their young up to play in the open while they eat acorns and grass in our pasture. They are not always close enough to photograph. We are inside the house looking out windows and not out where they get used to humans. We only have 40 acres of good land for them to be safe in. Do not want them thinking humans are safe. Thank you for the meaning of Black Dog. Never heard that before. Now I have a new term if I want. Raining this morning. We sure need rain. Areas around us have to much but when they get 5 inches we are lucky to get 1/2 inch. We catch rainwater in buckets in front of our workshop. We have a line of buckets so we can water the garden tires. Rain water is better for the plants than well water. Our well is 600 ft deep and water is excellent but the plants like rain water better. Ok now someone please define.the “Midwest Porn Food”

40 acres....WOW Whispy, I just can't even fathom that. Love the wild life stories though. Silk, I know how depressing it is when the cleaners don't show. If you are like me you do things to "prepare" for their visit. We don't have carpeting, but we have lots of small rugs that we pick up and take outside to shake, or periodically throw in the washer. Just so there is nothing on the floors when they vacuum and mop. When we had the ferrets there was a whole lot more to pick up. Luckily I think the no-show was only three times in six or seven years...or maybe more. Margie, I remember having one of those ingrown toe nails once. You bet, they sure do hurt. And once was enough.

Good morning. A beautiful morning here but still cold enough for the AC. When I got up there was a cold breeze blowing in the house...Joe had the AC on cold. Just what you need in Winter. My cleaner did turn up but very late...a big sigh of relief and yes Huronna I get up early and do some chores before she arrives. She tells me I have a toilet cleaning fetish and why is she here. Believe me we need her. She's not always well these days due to the dreaded menapause so I forgive her. When she is here she goes the extra mile. Polly always nice to see you and get your news. Whispy one is never bored when there is wildlife around. That's a big property you have. Deer are beautiful animals. We don't have native deer but there are some that have escaped into the bush. Australia has a lot of wild camels that believe it or not we sell to the Arabs. These were brought here by Afghans in the very early days and have thrived too well. Although we have roos feeding on our lawns we don't feed them ourselves ; a large male can be dangerous, standing 6 feet or more. Margie I hope the toe does well after your podiatrist session. I have mine visit the house every six weeks...heaven. I said 'good morning ' to the owl but it didn't even open it's eyes today. Comfy in it's corner.

You use the AC in winter? We use out heat, but not very often as our house is well insulated and hardly ever need to warm it up. Margie when do you get that toe nail looked at. Each day I bet it hurts a little more. OUCH!

Huronna, usually we have the AC on heat in the winter for just an hour or two in the mornings and then again in the evening..but not every day. Sometimes Joe lights a fire. Our climate is just a bit cooler than yours ( temperate ). Queensland is more like yours and a lot of southerners spend the winters there.

Goodness, lots of comments. I can't believe you all don't know about Porn Food. Maybe everyone is so healthy it's just on your radar screen. I think I explained it before, it's basically high fat, high sugar and high carbs. It's a common term to me and many of my friends. During Covid, I used to see a bunch of recipes posted on FB that qualified as Porn Food. Lots of butter, and cheese and carbs and/or sugar. I don't mean just desserts, I mean meals. I doubt any of you here even do meals like that so that's probably why it's foreign to you.
My cleaner came today, she's good. I had that problem w/missing w/former one but that was years ago. Rain is still coming down now and again. I had book club today in town at a Greek Restaurant and I had zucchini cakes and a salad, can't believe I ate the whole thing. No wild life here of late. I have never seen a Kangaroo except in a zoo. We don't feed the wildlife either, not good for them. No bears this year, which is surprising because it's been so dry. Flooding in town has caused the city and county to declare state of emergency. The Museum Fire in 2019 has created problems. There are some homes with mud on the floors when the streets ran like rivers.
On the plus side, since I'm from the Midwest I love the smell of all this rain. Love the mositure. Now, if I could only hear those bullfrogs at night...

When we were in Tasmania, we visited a small wild like park. The roos were quite tame as people were all around them. Here are a couple of photos from then,

Love those photos Huronna. Imagine you were here and too far from me to see you. Most wildlife parks sell food for people to feed the roos but in the wild not a good idea. Our neighbour was attacked but managed to punch his way free. It doesn't happen a lot but the males are very watchful of their does.

Silk, you better stay healthy, because believe it or not, I am going to be in Brisbane for two days in 2023. I know, it's a long way off, but that is the year of our 50th anniversary and we have a zinger of a cruise booked already. Tilly, I think "a coach trip" is a common expression in the UK. Lainey was always mentioning doing them. In 2008, we did our first and last "coach trip". We started in London, went through Wales, across the water to Ireland, and then to Scotland and back through England. When we booked it, it was supposed to be 24 people. But what they didn't tell us was that we would be joining another group in London of 24. The trip was terrible, every day it was a different stop, took too long to board the bus, and then deboard for hotels, lived out of a suitcase (which is fine for a weekend but for three weeks?) I was so sick of being on a bus, I vowed never ever again. Now we do cruises. Much more relaxing and you actually get a chance to meet the people traveling with you.

That's interesting Huronna but Brisbane is still 400 km from Where I live. I would love to be able to travel that far but I can't do it these days. A bit like the US...everywhere is vast distances. If I were up to it I'd be there like a shot. Who knows...Ben might be going that way for music .He does sometimes. You would get on like a house on fire.
