Come and tell us how you are and what you are going to be doing. "The Family" always likes to know how we all are.

Where did the day go? I think it was because I slept later than usual. Then I was working on come Angel challenges. The Ann open up her pinterest site so I could get in and grab a zillion things, and then later she locked it up again. She had been sending me zip tiles almost every day, I suggested she do this instead, easier for both of us. And she agree. Emma has not been posting muct and what she has are things I don't think we would use. I still wonder where and how Nickel is doing.
Forgot to mention that I got a call from ReeRee. Some of you oldies might remember her as she was quite active a long time ago. She visited me last year and I think about three other times. When ever she gets to Fla to visit family, she always drops in for a couple of days. I think it will be the first week in Nov. Looking forward to her visit as always.

I've started to pack. We are leaving Sun for a week in the White Mtns of Arizona, back Friday so I'll be scarce. It's our 30th anniversary trip. Had wanted to go to Banff and Jasper but it seemed too ambitious and then they got hit w/wild fires so I'm glad we didn't go. We're going to see my cousin and his wife on the way there and then on the way back see a couple of dear hs friends who have summer homes over there. My friend, who was best man at my wedding to Amy's Dad, belongs to a country club in the area so we're all meeting for brunch. These are special friends I've seen over the years and we are fairly close. We get together every couple of years or so and email on regular basis.
We're staying in a fairly new cabin complex in Greer, very nice accommodations So glad most of the restaurants/resorts will still be open. Should be gorgeous fall color at that high elevation. Hope I can do some walking. I have appt w/hip surgeon in a couple of weeks to get started on moving forward. The shot only lasted a few days so the surgery needs to happen sooner than later.

Huronna, will you be OK with Milton? If they give mandatory evacuation orders, do you have to evac or can you stay? I mean, they don *make* you leave, do they? But I dunno, after dodging a couple bullets, I'd be nervous. You are brave.

We are not in an evacuation area, besides where the heck would you evacuate to? One of the big problems now is all the debris from the last hurricane. They have not been able to pick everything up and we have 3 big bags of debris and a pile of twigs at the end of the driveway. My guys come today so I'm going to have to ask them to move the stuff inside our garage. Thankfully we have a 3 care garage but only two cars.
Looks like fotki is down this morning, first time in eons.
I'm nekkid

I am SO slammed that I have not kept up on storms. This level is actually very intense; way above normal, and I live an intense life already. But this! This running back and forth for Steve and running all of both of our lives is highly irregular. Honestly; there isn't enough time in my days to breathe, and I have nothing left to worry with anyway. But I am still planning to go to Tucson for a short trip to help my niece get her wedding gown leaving early Sat am returning Tues. Crossing fingers.
Huronna; I am petitioning for a fleet of Angels to come hang out with you, keep the lid on and wrap wings of good luck around you. I also have put debris in the garage, under the porch (at mom's when we fought to get the last of the deck parts screwed down as Michael was immanent) and other places also. It seems crazy as close as we are here to other houses, but I tuck everything away that I can because flying things are like the monkeys in the Wizard of Oz to me. I don't want them tearing my straw out!
Hugs to all. Stay well and stay safe - in every way!

Update on Milton.
We are not in a flood zone, and we are in Evacuation Zone E, which is as far down the line you can go. We don't evacuate. Our electric lines and phone, internet cable are underground in our area. Every hour and depending on the station you hear all different things. Because the yard waste from Helene has not been picked up (We had 4 of those black bags and enough twigs to fill a garbage can.) Our lawn guys moved all that inside of our garage. We have a 3 car length wise one, but only large 2 car wide, so there was lots of room. I took our flag down, and brought the wind chimes inside. Our garden tub is filled with water, for toilet flushing. Our patios furniture (table and 4 chairs, we will bring inside tomorrow. We have cases of water (and propel and diet ice teas) I also have enough protein shake mix to survive a month 4 meals a day LOL. (all different flavors) Boxes of cereal and boxes of milk. Both cars are filled with gas, and I have a few thousand $$ in cash. That's as ready as we can be.
Dental appt this morning, slight infection under one of my permanent bridges. Antibiotics and antibiotic mouthwash prescribed and picked up. Also had to buy a water pik, never used one before, will start tonight.
That's the update from Florida _____________ worked on #4 for the auction and finally finished it

The water pik is lovely - like a spa for your mouth. I hope you enjoy it.
They are saying that hurricane is going to be something, but you are well prepared. Since your stuff is underground I hope you won't be inconvenienced. I hope everyone is OK.

I think the waiting is the worse part of it. You want to have it done and over. Update Wed. Noon. We had a steady rain all last night, but nothing torrential. Right now it isn't raining and no wind (the calm before the storm) It's dark outside, looks like around 7 PM. The brunt is not supposed to hit until late this evening, we are all hoping that it dissipates. We don't live in a flood zone (though our insurance company forces us to get it) and the evacuation zones are from A-E, E being the furthest down the line (that's us) So we stay hunkered down. Our lines are underground as we have FIOS, and have never lost power or wifi in the past 15 years.. Will keep you posted as the day goes on.
finally posted something on Facebook as I was getting those dings from messenger from all over the place, even Scotland and Germany. I did manage to get #4 done for the auction. Maybe will try for #5 Will keep you posted as I can
