I think swimming is SUPER exercise, keep it up. I've heard about the copper wrist bracelets, didn't work for me. Hope you have better results. I take Celexicob and that works best for me.
Got my hair cut today and have an appt just before my hip surgery. Getting things all lined up. We have company, grand nephew coming w/friend and my step daughter later.
Snowed today but didn't stick much. Getting colder

Sounds like we all have a bit of it. I used to be prescribed Ibuprofen 800 mg 3 times a day, but I usually only had to take it one in the morning and rarely later on.
In 2020 I was switched to meloxicam 15mg per day. If I have pain in my back later on or before I go to the gym, I take tylenol 650 rapid release.

Ugg, spent 5 hours at the dentist today. Friday I cracked one of my crowns, have many of them. it cracked just below the gum line, my fault , never chew or try to break off something with a front tooth. They had to get in there and actually pull the tooth and then prepare another one that also had a crown so that they can make a 4 tooth bridge. So many shots of anesthesia, they only thing I felt was pressure and was drowning in water. All I want to do is sleep now

That's a huge thing to go through, I'm sure you were exhausted and I do hope you are better this morning.
John's grand nephew called to ask if they could visit us earlier. He and his buddie who are doing a post college grad road trip hit a deer in Zion. They rolled into town with the bumper duck taped are going to see if they can get it fixed here. I don't need company these days with this hip and I have bursitis I think in the other hip but they are good kids and I know will help.
I see my PT today so am hoping it goes well.

Got a call from ReeRee this morning. She's been a member here since 2008, but like many of the real active oldies, things happen, life changes and PSP no longer rules their lives. She has relatives and friend in FL and has visited me many times. She was here last year and is due the first week in Nov. It will be good to see her, and I'll try to take some photos.
I'm still pretty wasted today. Not allowed to eat anything except soft food, yogurt is my mainstay right now, but it sure doesn't fill you up and though I don't have a headache per se, from all the pressure yesterday it is just annoying. . All I want to do is lie down, and I do that every once in a while for 15 minutes or so. Have taken tylenol. so that helps. Was supposed to see my trainer tomorrow, but I had to cancel that.

Hope you get to feeling better soon Huronna. Today my oldest son Chris turned 49. Where did the time go? Hubby and myself just celebrated 33 years of being married on Oct 11th. Spent time at home enjoying each others company. Both of us went and got our hair cut today. Can't believe that November is just around the corner. Will be glad when this election is over and done with.

Well congrats Margie , 33 years is a lot of loving years, being together and enjoying each other is hard to find these days. Though many of us here have the same situation. I too till be glad when the election is over, I am tired of all the ads everywhere.

Happy anniversary Margie!
5 hours - yikes Huronna! I hope they gave you breaks so you could close your mouth and not drown.
Flagryl, I hope your PT visit went well.
Not much is happening here. One of the issues that happens to me due to breast cancer is sometimes I get lymphedema in my breast and left arm. I have not had it for two years so it caught me napping when a flare happened. To make matters worse, my shoulder is messing up. My oncologist retired so I am waiting for a referral to the new oncologist who picked up the service. Your guess is as good as mine as to when I will get that consult. Got my colonoscopy scheduled. Pre-op is scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving. Whoopee. Actual Colonoscopy is December 11. The hospital is 20 miles from where I live. Not terribly convenient.
I remember ReeRee. I loved her. She and I were supposed to come visit you Huronna before my ex totally flipped out and showed his butt. I hope you have a great visit. Ha ha, Friday is the 14th Anniversary of my divorce being final. I call it Guindependence Day and I celebrate it every year with self care and treats. And I have Sid now. Sometimes what we think is going to be something bad ends up being the best thing that ever happed to us.

I knew that was the first time I met ReRee, but I couldn't for the life of me remember the year. She has visited quite a few times since then, We always have a great chat session.

The first time you met ReeRee was 2009. Hard to believe that was 15 years ago already. My divorce was final a year later. Ha ha, I will never forget that.

Happy 33rd Anniversary to Margie & John! Hope you are better Huronna and in great shape when Ree Ree arrives.
Good report from shoulder surgeon this morning, said the x-ray was "perfect" and I was doing very well. I'm only at 4 mo so more to go. I'm at 85% now and he said even people with no arthritis and only rotator cuff surgery do no better than I am doing. I should improve as the months go on. He also weighed in on my hip surgeon, said he scrubbed with him a few weeks ago and was amazed with his proficiency. My shoulder doc does only shoulders and knees.

sending healing vibes to those that are unwell and many hugs to everyone.
I drove to a friends house today for a catch up and cuppa, on the way to hers this car driving in front mounted the hedge side and then quickly came back on the road flicking up a stone, it hit my window and has now made a chip right in the middle of the central vision of the screen, as the cars MOT is due saturday i am hoping to get it repaired before then, i had 2 new tyres put on the car wednesday which cost £120 to be told that both coil springs had broke another thing that would fail an MOT her in the UK, cars huh money pits, still could be worse.
Advent bag for my sister is going fairly well, i think i only need 10 items and hers will be done.
enjoy the rest of your weekend

If it's not one thing it's another with cars these days, so hard to keep the older ones running. My husband still has his 2003 Subaru Forester, his research mobile that has been all over Arizona "off road" and he's put a lot on $$$ into its upkeep. Some darn truck flipped a rock into the windshield on my SUV but it's a tiny scrath and did not run. Whew.
We went down to Prescott for John's app w/retinal specialist, the guy who did his victrectomy years ago. Ate at a lovely new upscale place downtown, what a treat. We went to Trader Joe's afterwards to stock up, lots of chocolate! Gotta keep those fat cells up! It was a full day and we both slept well last night!

What an exhausting weekend. I was about to lay down Sat and Take a nap when the phone rang and I heard Joe saying, "where are you? and who is this? ok I'll be on my way" Turned out it was his sister and BIL , they were stuck at the airport and there were no rental cars until the next day, even though they had a reservation. (They were coming down to check on their mobile home in Sarasota to meet with the insurance adjuster about their damage. ) So we go to pick them up and then they tell us that they also need us to take them back to the airport on Sunday morning for their rental car. We didn't even know they were coming down. What if we were not home when they called? SO after we got back home from the second airport run, I took a little nap and then went grocery shopping, left Joe home because our niece was due in at 4. She was taking a car from Providence to Ft Meyers. And then flying back to Pittsburgh. She always stops when she has a delivery on this side of Florida. She is leaving at 7 in the AM, I told her, just go out the front door and close it, we'll lock it when we get up. Joe will probably wake up to see her off, me? no way! So my whole weekend was shot.

On Tuesday
I was about to go to the gym when the phone rang, Joe picked it up and from the tone of his voice, I knew I best get on the line. One of our bank accounts had been Hacked. They sealed the account because it was something the hacker was trying to do that signaled an alert. SO I spent over an hour on the phone trying to change my ID and password and they finally said there was some reason they couldn't do it and I would have to go to the branch.
You sent
Did that and got the ban all fixed, but a couple of days, apparently the same day, I started getting hundreds and I go mean hundreds, every few minutes of spam mails. So then I had to change my password on my e-mail, but then I couldn't get into that after because there were still all these spams in cyberspace trying to get through. I think that has finally stopped. And for the first time , Joe finally vocallized that he didn't know what he would have done if I had not been around. What a disaster that would have been.
You sent
So now I have to check that back on-line at least twice a day for a couple of weeks to make sure they are gone. What a mess. Thankfully all the other accounts as ok as I checked all of them and there was no unusual activity.
So Tuesday I checked early in the evening and then before going to bed and the account was fine. (I had already check all my other accounts and there was no suspicious activity) Yesterday check in the AM and early evening and when I went to go to bed, it was disabled yet again. Crappola! SO have to go into the back again today. The tree people are coming to take out the stump and grind it down, I was hoping they would get here earlier, but they have not arrived as yet.
Another unrelaxing day!

That's beyond terrible. That's a huge stump. Did you count the rings to tell how old it was? I hope your bank gets settled.

Had to go to the bank again, had to get a new account, but no on line banking. I have to take my computer to my pro guy and have it professionally cleaned as apparently the hacker got into my computer so even when I change my Hotmail password they were ale to get in. So I am using a different computer to change the password because Eric to log into my computer needs that. mine is now shut down, I took out my lap top which has not been plugged in since Feb, so its goin to take a while to get that one on line. Iwill have to use Joes laptop inthe meantime. I will stll be ale to use my ipad just nt hot mail. What a BI-CH
