I wish I could sleep. About 2 hours a night is my normal, then I'm awake for awhile and usually doze back off at 5:30 and the rest of my house it up at 6 so, i am too. Took a nap after they left though. so my day is shot

Mary, I didn't realize that was your normal. What's the cause of this? I have a thyroid issue but have been able to manage it after a couple of years of what you are going through. My doc gave me an anti depressant, I'm not depressed, but it slows me down and an antihistamine for my allergies is a slam dunk. What does your PC doc say?

I think it's mostly depression doing it and i have NOT been good at taking my meds. I have been so screwed up since Dad passes in July. I cry every day but have been taking my meds again and that seems to be getting better. MS really effects my tiredness too.

I am happy that we have this thread too Roni.
Hi everyone! It's me, Grassy. How are y'all doing? I am sorry to read about the illnesses and sadness affecting so many of us. Is there anything I can do to make things nicer for anybody?
Nothing much is happening around here. Sid is getting ready to wire the basement. When we bought the house, we bought it with the basement unfinished so Sid needs to do the work on it. He is a retired construction electrician so he knows how to do it and then get it inspected. And then drywall and all that mess. But a finished basement so that will be good. It all takes time though.
I got an adult tricycle in hopes of riding and also going to the grocery store and little errands and being more independent. I took it out for a test run yesterday. Now mind it was really windy. I felt like I was going too fast and couldn't steer. I almost lost control and took out a Hyundai and our mailbox.
Dove Cat is just as adorable as she can be. She has started waking me up at 6 a.m. just to be petted and loved on. I think she gets bored or lonely at night and 6 a.m. is about as long as she can stand to be without a human.
The treadmill is super fantastic! I have been working out much more regularly than on the old one with the messed up speed regulator.
We finally have dandelions in the yard and we got a bonus turtle. I don't know where the turtle came from, but I love turtles. We are in a drought so he was likely looking for water. It is raining today so I hope he got some.

I forgot to say that the big game - Iowa v. South Carolina - is today. I am so excited! Go Hawkeyes!

I read this thread and just feel terrible for everyone's issues. Just didn't know what to say but I'm thinking of each and everyone here and wishing you the best moving forward.
Iowa loss broke my heart but S Carolina played a great game and have some awesome players.
Today is the eclipse and a neighbor, retired astronomer is hosting a siting at his home. My hairdresser and her husband traveled to Texas are in a site near San Antonio w/friends. It's cloudy here so we won't see much. I hope my friend in Texas gets a better view.

It's cloudy here Flagryl. We were supposed to get 78% totality, but we have bupkis. We were supposed to be in totality in 2017, but it was cloudy then too. Bum City! I was sad about Iowa too, but they played like champs. SC is such a tough team. Iowa is solid class all the way.
We are staying home with Dove Cat and then we are going out to the pharmacy. We generally like to do errands earlier, but I did not want to leave Dovie alone during the eclipse in case she got scared or whatever. Now it doesn't even matter because it's cloudy anyway. I dote on this wee beastie.
That is about the extent of the excitement here.

NO eclipse here in Florida. Will try and stay awake for the game tonight. Tomorrow is pedicure day and then grocery run. You are right Flagryl, S.C. really played a great game, they deserved to win

Good afternoon all. Hello from Iowa. I also was disappointed that Iowa Hawkeye Woman's Basketball team lost the other day. They worked so hard to get where they were at. Sorry to hear about all the sickness and illness here. Thinking of you all and keep you in our thoughts and prayers. As for me I'm having more problems with my eyes, thanks to the macular degeneration I have now. It's no fun trying to see out of one eye, even if I do wear glasses. Sorry for being down but it's depressing at times.

Hey Margie, you aren't the only one that is a bit down at times. Is there anything they can do for the macular degeneration? We all have bad days and sometimes weeks. BUt remember we are all here for each other.

not to worry Angel, i chat with you on IM every morning. I have not done a sweep in eons. I actually went to the gym today did 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the seditaty elliptical. One of the owner was there and asked me where I had been. That was nice I was noticed, but after all I have belonged to that gym since Jan 2010. Then I cam home and helped Joe put up a new flag on our mailbox. Then I took him for a 15 minute walk around the neighborhood. Dinner was Manicotti and salad, of course microwaveable manicotti and had some nice wine also. It was a good day today

I changed from win10 to win 11 this weekend. Everything seems ok up to now. My laptop is classed as incompatible but it is still possible to do it.Files and folders were carried over but I had to install all my programs again. PSP7 installed ok and seems to be working with no probs. It's not much different to 10, just some things are different to look at.
