Sorry HUronna, real life got in the way of me checking back until now. Yes good old google is my friend to at times when i dont know something. Yep quite right it was a digital hologram version of the Abba, the songs were some new ones as well as some old favourites, the lighting effects were amazing , it was just as you saw on their website. it was packed, sadly not the real Abba's but still a great show.. its been 40 years since their last concert!! abbavoyage.com/

Hi everybody! I am back! Work has been slammed! Strep throat is going around and only one manager and three team members are well, so it's been busy busy. I am so glad I am well. I am practicing universal precautions and sanitizing the heck out of everything. And of course good habits like handwashing and not licking any strangers and such.
Dee you are hilarious!
As to bras and what goes in them, I have been both small and huge. I think I am now about a 50F. They say you pay more because there is more material, but I think it is simply a fat tax to punish people who need clothes because any other girl who was a 50F would squeeze into a L and not opt for the 3XL like I do. Although I am down from an H cup since losing weight and I can wear a 2XL in some clothes.
A French study found that wearing bras is actually bad for the connective tissue underneath your breasts so I wear camisoles if I am at home. Bras are only for things like shopping or work, and I always try to use a sports bra if I can - no wires and they are so much more comfy. Plus they smoosh my bewbs and I look smaller.
After breast cancer, I am pretty much shameless. I used to have to pop out a watermelon wherever I went for one procedure or another. I am just happy I am no longer in an office where I am freezing my baguettes off. Or being touch by someone with hands as cold as the Klondike.
In the beginning of Victoria's Secret (which was founded by a man who wanted luxurious lingerie for his wife) everything was all silk and lace and very scrumptuous materials and designs. And very size inclusive. I shopped there and had silk robes and Kimono and flannel PJ's that were soft as a kittycat. Then the man sold out to a big corporation and they went for cheaper fabrics, a younger clientele, and they changed the sizing. They also do a lot of underwire bras which I find I can't wear - too painful over my scars. And pushup bras - heck no. I would give myself a black eye if they got pushed up any farther.
I am super sorry for the health concerns everyone is facing. I am sending love and prayers to each of you.
I don't believe I have met you Dena. I am Grassy.
I am sorry you are down Milyn.
The ABBA Voyage sounds awesome! Who here doesn't remember standing in the bathroom (best acoustics) with the hairbrush mic singing an ABBA song? Mine was Dancing Queen.
Nothing major is happening here. I have been working a ton. Thanksgiving is 13 days away and I can't stand myself. I am beside myself with glee! It's my favorite Holiday with 4th of July being right there neck and neck for 2nd. These are the best Holidays because all you need to do is bring food and a grateful heart. And I am so delighted that my skills have elevated to where I don't get asked to bring paper towels! People actually want to eat my cooking!

Grassy you post was so fantastic, I had to read it all to my husband and tell him a little bit about your history, do he understood more of it. His reaction was...that lady is something else. bless her and I agree with him whole heartedly.

Awwwww, both of you are so kind! I think you're something special too. Tomorrow is Veterans Day. Thank Joe for his service, and thank you for yours too. Some say military spouses don't do a ton while their other halves are out "playing war," but that is just not true. You guys hold the household down. So thanks to both of you and to all my other veterans and military spouses on here.

Grassy. Your post made me laugh, particularly licking strangers, although it might depend on what stranger you fancy licking!! I agree with Victoria secrets they look so lovely but as i am a UK size 38G none would fit or be comfortable , hate wires and push up bras never appealed to me anyway.
Hope everyone is having a good start to the weekend, and hugs to those who aren't doing so good at the minute.

Grassy you said...You guys hold the household down...funny thing about that. many times Joe would come back from being gone a few weeks or a couple of months, and want to take over household things. Pay bills or make changes.....nope no way, I hold down the fort, I even had to pick him up when the ship pulled in because I had moved us from an Apt to a villa. Of course all the decisions I made, were with him in mind and after he got used to "who rules the roost" he was always in agreement. Sort of the same now, though I let him think he made many of the decisions LOL

Silk, you are so kind.
Huronna, that is hilarious that you moved house! Hee Hee.
I am off work today, but I have to work at my house switching from my summer clothes to my winter clothes. And I am goin g to get rid of my "fat lady" ones and donate them because I hope I don't need them again. This is the most I have ever weighed so I am trying to whittle it down and make my goals and keep on a-truckin'.

Panthera, I am a very huggy person, so I have to try very hard to keep my hands to myself around my friends. I don't want to get sick so I can't work or bring work cooties to them. But we've been getting so many customers because it's the Holidays plus we're going out of business, so I am frankly astonished that more of us aren't ill.

Ugh @ being ill! My Sister and BIL have the flu right now, one of them anways.
I was saying MS is like a vacuum cleaner but it censored the word. Oh well. I have had MS since about 98ish. The last medication I took seems to have kicked it a good one as I haven't had any new problems in over a year. My disability is still there as far as my walking and my mind at times. I think I am going to return to my neurologist I saw for years. Saw him for a long time but he changed locations , farther away up by the lake. It will take us about 2 hours to get there. I went to an office in Findlay but they had a different doctor each time i went in and the last time there wasn't a Dr. AND they wanted to repeat my MRI after a year when the last one was stable and not showing anything new happening. Just not liking their treatment plan AND they said they were going to refer me to a different Dr in Toledo which I had seen years ago that as VERY RUDE. I told them I would not see him and then they still referred me because his office called to schedule.
as far as getting my computer fixed hopefully, Mike just said he's off work Wednesday so I am going to have him take it to get looked at. Hopefully it is a simple fix

Grassy, you are a stitch...keep on going on. Mary, I sure hope you get your computer fixed. It's been going through so many issues, something is not qurie right. Huronna, I was thinking about Veterans Day today...best to Joe. My whole family is saturated w/Veterans from 1812, the Revolutionary War though today. Silk, How is the new house on the island? Exciting.
Our condensor pump failed Friday, we have in floor heating. We celebrated moving into our newly built house 20 years ago today so I guess it served us well. Thankfully we got a new plumber a couple of year ago and when I texted w/pics his guy was out here in less than an hour, was going out here on call anyway so picked up the pump I sent pic of and he was out the door in 20 min. Gotta love people who know what they are doing.

That must be hard to know you are going out of business, is there anything that can be done? Yes i am quite huggy also, since covid though i judge the situation first as my sister is vulnerable and i wouldn't want to give her something that made her very ill. I hope things go well.

Was busy this morning as our flight schedule to Brazil in January cam through this morning. Tampa to Houston to Rio on United polaris, there is a long layover in Houston but the first class lounge at the airport is wonderful. Coming back is abit wilder. Santiago, Chile to Lima Peru, to NYC-JKF to Tampa. On Delta, all business class. We leave on the 22nd of January morning and arrive the 23 in Rio in the morning. We have a couple of land tour days and then board the ship on the 26th. This is the cruise path and the layout of the suite on the ship. All the rooms on Regent SSC are suites, not it's nothing extra extra special. Now the last thing I have to do is contact Luggage forward about shipping our luggage, that way we only have to worry about our carry ons and big purses HA HA Will do that this afternoon. The VA sent us a set of safety guards rails or what every its called for the second bathroom toilet in the master bathroom, We used to have them in both, but a few years ago when Joe was feeling his oats, he took them down, but last year he had a bad spell and around 3 in the morning I installed the set in the guest room, but could never find the others. Told his I was going to get a pair and contacted the VA and they took care of it. Speaking of hugs, I got in the habit of that when we were stationed in Italy. everyone hugged there and still do it. Even when COVID was here, we hung around with close friends and hugged. Well, got come work to do now and then breakfast/brunch with Joe and some of his church friends. I meet them there.

Panthera, the decision to go out of business was a Corporate one. It stinks. I am just happy to have a job through January, so I will ride this comet of opportunity for all it's worth. Plus my employee discount. But it is hard because we have built up some really great customer relationships and friendships over the years and it's sad that this is my last Christmas working there. But Corporate is fickle. They could buy a new building in another town close by and I could be back. You just never know.
I am immunocompromised, but I still give hugs because most people are not a threat with an embrace. Now, if someone has Strep or something or if I am handling change, that requires more care. I take it on a case by case basis. I don't want to give anything to anybody or worse - I don't want to miss work or miss out on Thanksgiving. I am so excited for Thanksgiving! It will be (so far that I know of) Sid and me, my mama and big brother, and my super fantastic sister, her husband, and her mother in law Jean, who is a hoot. More people may come but that is all I know of so far. It will be at my mama's house. The store will be closed on Thanksgiving, but I bet we will all work on Black Friday.
Huronna, your cabin looks amazing! Will you have wifi so you can chat with us? Ha ha.

Definitely, though you never know know how the connection is. At least the time difference won't be as radical as when I was doing Australia to Japan in Jan-March this year. Just got done putting the safety rails on the toilet. I have to do most of it because it's a small space and Joe can't sit on the floor and move around and get up. So I called him when it needed the final tightening. He didn't think that I could do it, but who in the world did you think did it when he was in the hospital and nursing home? I leaned a long time ago how to do everything amd if there is a doubt....ytube has it HA HA

I just got back from the ER. My knee was about the size of a grapefruit, so they decided to drain fluid from it. No sepsis, nothing bad. Just the fluid and osteoarthritis. But now it hurts more with 500 cc's of stuff gone than it did with the stuff in there. Good thing I don't work again until Wednesday. But Osteoarthritis? Blah!

I have that problem also Grassy, thankfully mine doesn't get that big. Last time it had to be drained it was just a few CC's and it hasn't bothered me in a few months

What a bummer for you Huronna! I should have done something about it weeks ago when I first noticed it, but I thought i was being a crybaby. I guess when it flares I can just go get it drained and I won't wait so long. I was surprised that I didn't have to hang around so long and that they could just take care of it right there. I was there for only about two or three hours.
