You all are so busy. Just dropping by to announce I am still around. Forcing myself to move around more. Planted so seedlings yesterday. It is really late to start things but giving it a try. Tomatoes are doing well with lots of green tomatoes, wanting them to hurry up and ripen. Can not find good tomatoes any where. Store bought are tasteless. Going to the campground today for dinner with my sister and her husband. Taking home made cheese cake to go with her taco salad. Not much news here.

Cheesecake is my very favorite. John bakes a great lemon curd cheesecake. Haven't had taco salad in eons. We are going to grill some fresh tuna I'll marinade and then serve on a salad.
I don't know about everyone else, but I'm getting grumpy with this staying at home. Zoomed today w/Book Club and NOW we're going to do this on a regular basis now that the webcams have doubled in price since I suggested we zoom 2 months ago. Don't own a laptop. Oh well, got one on EBay.

Dropped in to see how everyone is doing. Looks like lots of ups and downs. I don't think it will ever get back to "normal". What is normal nowadays? Sorry to hear of the ills and not feeling well of some and the trials and tribulations of others. My life goes on as boring as ever. Had a 6-month followup appointment with my doctor last week. Had to have blood drawn and apparently I have become very anemic. So taking the dreaded Iron supplements. I also had to go in for a cognitive test which I did poorly on. So now I have been referred to a neurologist to see how many marbles I still have if any at all. That will be in August. She also increased the mg on my cholesterol meds.
I finally got to actually go to the store last week. Got to touch and feel the veggies myself to see which ones I wanted. And no daughter hasn't given me the keys back for the vehicle that I usually get to drive, but my son-in-law actually left me his vehicle to use for going to the store and the doctors appointments and oh yea my hair cut.
The new house is coming along great. Should be finished for move-in last part of July, first part of Augustl. I can hardy wait. It has a mother-in-law addition on it so I will have my own area with Living room, small kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. I am very anxious to get moved. My granddaughter and I have been on the outs for the last few months and do not even speak to each other unless absolutely necessary. So I spend ALL my time in my bedroom only leaving long enough to go potty and to cook me something to eat. And then she only allows cooking before three in the afternoon and after 6 in the evening.
Oh well tomorrow is another day. Sending you all lots of love and hugs. Not on here much due to the fact that my bedroom faces the street with the sun hitting it directly most of the day. So it gets pretty hot in here with the outside temps running 107-111. Will drop in when I can. Stay safe. Stay well.

WOW Suzie, not a happy time for you. It never is easy having to live with someone, even sometimes when its someone you love. Close quarters can get overwhelming at times. Can't wait to see it. Well I was stupid yesterday. After three days of really feeling quite good and with only slight pain, I decided to go grocery shopping with Joe. Bad mistake. Though I have been walking with no problem around the house, it hasn't been for long periods of time. Well not only was grocery shopping around 30 minutes but also mucho mucho steps and I am suffering now. Actually started around 4 am. You know how when you start exercising something that you haven't used in a while and you get muscle aches? Yup! That thigh, lower leg and ever my foot whaaaaa!!!! Had to get up at 4 am to take some alleve to go back to sleep. So today and the next few days, it's off the feet except for around the house and no excursions. When will I learn?

Suzie sorry about your health. I guess you will see in August where you stand on your thinking. Glad you got to go out and actual be in the real world and touch a few things.
Huronna... bad girl! Hope you get iced up and feel better.
Things are going good for me. No ER visits as of late. Hoping to keep out of there.
Have a good day everyone.

Suzie I'm sad to hear about the issues w/granddaughter but so pleased to know you'll have your own grannie apt soon, hang tough. You know stress can cause thos cognitive tests to be askew so hang tough on that, too.
My ear tinnitus throbbing went away as soon as the nurse changed my allergy drops. In meantime I had a brain MRI to check it out. Today, Doc said ears and nerves were textbook perfect. When I asked about plaque in the brain he showed me that view and it's all nice and dark, said I have a young brain and again textbook perfect. You wouldn't have known it after my 2 surgeries with all the anesthesia and drugs and all my forgetfulness and stress, but it's back to normal now. Stress is huge. Oh, and the 2 concussions from several years back. That's why I was worried, but all is well. Yea! I've always had a mind like a steel trap [much to hubby's chagrin] so I haven't lost it. Yet.
COVID cases are really going up up up here. Nurse told me today the hospital was full, no surgeries and my ear, nose throat doc is having to get space elsewhere which is a challenge. City and county are requiring masks and store personnel are confronting all who enter w/o. Come on vaccine, praying for you.

OK, my morning didnt go as planned. I woke with a swollen, VERY sore eye I can't see out of. Got an emergency appt with my eye specialist right away. Jen came from work to take me. I guess sometime in the night I was bitten by a s...sp...spidie!!!! 😭
I found a black one in the bathroom the other day but evidently it was a mama and left her kids behind. Now I have to spray the house, but have to wait till morning. So you probably won't see me for awhile. Trying to see out of 1 eye is giving me a migraine.
Jen will be picking Gracie up at 7:30 in the morning and dropping her at the Vet for a full body xray and if she is OK, she has to be sedated for a sinus flush. She has done well till now. Her last flush was Feb of 19. She will also get her allergy injection and her nails trimmed.
I'll explain the full body xray another day when I can see. It was an unfortunate accident.
I'm off now for a while till this eye heals. 😢

Oh no, oh Anita. Your poor eye. You don't need this. I know how this goes as I am terribly allergic to spider bites and try as I may, it's hard to keep those buggers controlled.

Good morning everyone....I've not written much for a while.. Suzie I sincerely feel for you for the situation with granddaughter. That has to be so uncomfortable .I still remember the feeling way back when I was just 20 living with my MIL . I was scared stiff of her and kept out of her way. At your age things should not be like that. I'm happy that soon you'll have your own apartment. Stress does affect us . I believe that doing PSP helps to keep us sharp. My family all say I am as sharp as a tack. My brain is the only part of me that works well, everything else is kaput..however if I am stressed I get a bit befuddled until it passes. Huronna...bad girl ! I know how hard it must be for someone as active as you ,when restricted. You learn what you should'nt do. I hope the pain is less today. Flagrly so pleased your MRI results are good. That is a huge relief for you. Angel happy you've not had to have an ER visit. Anita, how awful for you. You have enough eye problems to deal with without extras...particulrly caused by one of those beasties you so loathe. I hope all is well with Gracie. I saw my Doctor yesterday...it;s always a little social visit as well as my health. He's the other man in my life!! My hemoglin is too low and he's talking of an iron infusion ( what will that do to my haemochromatosis ). A slightly better result for my kidneys. Thinking of Roni.

Good news about those kidneys Silk....drink that fluid and flush them out.
I talked to Anita for about 45 minutes tonight, she was able to find her phone LOL, patch on one eye, must look like a pirate. I'll keep people updated as I'll probably talk to her tomorrow also.
Leg is pretty good today, I'm being good.

So update on me... (I just copied and pasted this from my forum)
Lung doc called me yesterday with hopefully good news. He said my cscan shows I have asthma...which we already knew. But my blood work shows I have eosinophils in my blood. There is a shot for that.
So I went to my family doc today to talk with him about it. Just got home from doctors. He said there are different eosinophils. Mine looks like it is an allergy type. He went through my records for 2 years and it kind of showed a history of me being in the doctors or ER or hospital at certain times of the year. For the life of me I cannot remember what months they were. LOL
Anyway, I have to wait for the lung doctors nurse to call me about which shot I will be taking and other info. My family doc said if I don't hear from them by next Wednesday for me to call him and he will call them and get the ball rolling.
They say with the shots I will probably not have to take the oral steroids and probably about half the nebulizer treatments I have to take and maybe even NONE if we can get the eosinophils down.
It's all good news for me... this could be life changing for me.

Mixed news here, but wonderful for you Angel. Yes, I hope it works for you. I sure hope the iron works for Silk and Huronna can stay off her peg leg and Anita's spider bite calms down. I'm making it...PT made me sore but hope is on the horizon.

Oh my goodness. Prayers are being said for all of you. Today I moved the boards hubby bought to complete the shed doors. Moved then to the air conditioned garage down stairs and painted most of them. It is to hot in the upstairs garage. Our builder did not install insulated doors nor did he have duct work put in there. It is going to be in the triple digits this next week. Tomorrow is dentist Tuesday is post op with dentist, Thursday is complete physical by order of orthopedic surgeon. Have to go to my general practitioner for this one. Pre op checkup is scheduled for the 24th at the orthopedic hospital. So my July is filling up fast. No travels for us. July 4th weekend is crazy on our highways. Everyone going camping at the lake and they are tired of being home bound for so long. Not chancing the traffic. Took my fur kids to our vet for yearly checkup and shots on the 1st. Our vet is looking for a reasonably priced camper and I found a nice one for him. His wife is excited. I hope they get it if they want it. Well wishing you all a good night with sweet dreams. Ta ta

Huronna, having some bad teeth pulled today. My teeth break off guess it is in my genes. My sister is 8 years younger and having the same problems. I just putter along every day. I finished my dress so decided to get the boards painted for hubby to finish the doors for the shed. I would like to use it like a shed since it is finished up to the doors since lady fall. Just trying to get things caught up before knee replacement. Getting the pre surgery exercises in too. 13 steps from basement level. Doing at least two trips up and down a day. Also all exercise equipment in in lower level. I should cook down there since that kitchen is cooler. The walk in tub is down there. It is a total house down stairs since We originally built it for my dad and step mom to live close. Now it is guest quarters.

Have you gotten your surgery date yet? You'll have to keep us abreast of what happens after the surgery. I wish someone had really told me a little more about what would happened after the procedure I went through. Just knowing would have made things a little easier psychologically.
