Good morning everyone, hope you had a good weekend. My daughter talked me into dyeing my hair last night. My natural colour is a dark blonde so she choose a light brown dye to use...so how come my hair looks orangey-red?? Oh well. Didn't do much over the weekend, should have gone ice-fishing. Shack is moved out to the lake now, its a few miles out so you have to drive to it. The lake trout are really biting right now. Another bitterly cold day (talk about a loooong cold spell!) Supposed to feel like -49 this morning so guess we'll be stuck inside again. I saw on the long range forecast that they're predicting a high of 0 on the weekend...LOL! I'll believe that when I see it! I think they keep predicting warm weather just so you don't kill yourself. Well, better get a move on...hope you all have a good start to the week!

Brrr, Carol that is too cold for me. We have been having temps in the 50's and 60's during the day and down to the high 30's at night. It is supposed to get colder this week. Have a good day everyone. Sandy

I hate to mention it, but yesterday it was 80-85 here. I thin k you ice shack would sink. Think on the bright side...orange hair is better than green.

LOL been there and done that, Carol. It's the same principle as when you strip the color from your hair....orange is the hardest to get out. I always think mine no no up the 'red' or 'gold' highlights. They never same orange, do they? I think if it's a warm shade, you get the 'gold' highlights. If it's an 'ash' shade, you could get greenish. My daughter gave me a haircolor, too. It's been sitting on the bathroom counter forever. Carmel Kiss....doesn't that sound yummy. I could join you in the land of orange highlights....lol
We're supposed to be getting some of your weather again. Snow and cold and 40-50 mph winds. Can you say drifting?
You know, I think we should ban Huronna from any weather conversations....roflmbo
Have a great day.

That hair color thing scares me. I highlight to even out the gray. Fifteen years ago I decided to dye my hair a reddish brown as I was losing the natural red highlights in my original color. Came out way too dark. Took me eons it seemed to get back to my original color using the non-permanent stuff until it all grew out. Are you going to try to cover it? I used to buy some really good stuff at Sally's if you have one of those near you.

The hair thing has got me really scared. I usually have my hair colored at the salon, but since I've been laid off since May, I can't afford it, so I'm going to have my sister help me do it at home. I hope it doesn't come out red! LOL
I guess with your temps, I can't complain about ours. We've been having a bit of snow every day forever it seems. Right now it's 21 degrees, but in the next couple days the high is only going to be about 10. Still, not as bad as where you are!

Just quickly popping in ....thanks for the hair colour stories! I knew there was a reason that I never was anxious to dye my hair! I just wish it was less of a pumpkin shade-hahahaha! See you all later....back to playing with the granddaughter.
