So I am working on a spring kit. And here is a little tasty tidbit for you all. My first ever round frame. I am pretty pleased with how it turned out except for the two black smudges on it. I used Flaming Pear's SuperBladePro to make the frame effects. Now did SBP cause this smudging? Is it part of the effect? I have worked on it all morning and am about to go bananas. If someone knows how I can fix it, I am all ears. Or if you want to have a play with it, by all means go right ahead. I will properly credit you and I will include you in the kit. Thanks so much! Your friend Grassy

If you're talking about that dark edge on the inside, I think it's a shadow and it's supposed to be there. I love it. And I have snagged it. Will definitely use it. Thanks tons.
DUH... You're talking about the dark areas on the side and bottom. They are part of the effect, too. I sometimes get very frustrated with SBP, but it's produces some super effects. It was caused by the light coming from the top left.

I mean the dark parts on the bottom and on the right. Are they meant to be there? I kinda don't like them. I know on the inside of the frame, that is the inner bevel and I can live with that. I just dislike the big black shadows on the outer edge of the frame. Boo! But I have been trying to get rid of them, and I am beginning to think SBP wanted them there. No setting I have tried in SBP has erased them.
I am delighted that you like it, though. Maybe it will be all right.

I think it is the SBP preset that is doing it. Something you might have to live with using some of them. Maybe play around with some other ones and see what you come up with

Grassy this is great. The black areas....couldn't you select them and colorize them to work in with the pastel colors in the rest of the frame, or wouldn't that be possible, or maybe it would be enough to make you tear the rest of your hair out??!! lol

I am not sure what I am going to do with it. My mom says when you feel like doing something, that is when you shouldn't change anything. So I am going to sit on it for a few days and see if I really dislike it or if I should do something. Sometimes doing something becomes its undoing.
Thanks so much for liking it!
You are free to make any adjustments you wish. Just enjoy it :-)

You might be able to clone the pattern on those spots if you selected them, you think?

SuperBladePro is a filter from Flaming Pear. I had to pay for mine, but I am not sorry I did because it was worth every single penny. I use it almost daily.

Grassy, I may be wrong on this, but, try setting your foreground and background colors to white on your pallette before you add any special effects. I notice sometimes that when I add an effect, if the background is set to black, that it will pick up a whole different look than what it's suppose to be. Try it and see if it makes a difference.
