Steve, I read your comment in the Directions for tha block animation....

A raster layer doesn't 'do' anything except hold whatever you place on it. It's the basic kind of layer. There are vector layers, but they only hold vector objects. You don't need to think about them for the moment.

If you go to our lessons, I think you would really benefit....even if you only do part of them. They will give you a basic understanding of animation. They are written for beginners and are meant to be done in order. I know because I didn't even have psp when I got here. I downloaded a trialware of psp 8 and began doing them. I have never regretted it.

Newbies are never a bother, Steve. That is what we are here for. To help the newbies learn how to animate. Just take it one step at a time and whenever, and I do mean whenever you get stuck or have a question, just start a new thread and someone will try to help you out. The members are great with jumping in when they know the answer. Please do not be shy as there are a lot of people here that were in the same position as you are.

Steve, don't be afraid. I am an oldie....belonged to the msn group going on 3 years, but I don't animate very much. Well, hardly at all if you want the truth....lol, but I have a general idea how things work. I just have to get co-ordinated enough to go to the beginner lessons and work at it. If doing that will make us like Neo, lets get going!!! What are we waiting for?? lol

I was told when I joined this great group that the only stupid question is the one I didn't ask. So ask away, no matter how small it might be. Everyone here works with everyone else and makes learning a much easier and a more fun thing to do.

Besides, you wouldn't believe how many questions I asked when I began......lol I still say that Mister A aka Animator would send me on field trips, so to speak, just to get some rest....lol
