Good cloudy afternoon!! It was raining when we left for Tom's appointment this morning. It was also very windy south of here. Tom had another x-ray before we went upstairs. There were several people waiting and one was an old retired navy man. He served in WWII so he and Tom started talking. Tom was on a supply ship in 1958-1962 so got around to lots of different ships. They had quite a discussion. The neurosurgeon and PA released Tom today. The PA said that Tom is farther along than he expected. The x-rays look good. Everything is in place and healing nicely. Tom can call if he needs to see someone again, but I doubt he will. He can start lifting more. Of course he has to keep up with the pt. He felt so good that he decided to make the patties from the ground beef I bought yesterday at Costco. Then he just had to have a BBQed hamburger so out he went to start the hibachi. I had one too and it was so good. Now he is napping. He said I have been doing so much and he wanted to do something today. I should have included this on my other post but am having a bad case of senior moments today. Hugs, Diane

Oh Diane, that's great news...wonderful. Just being able to do little things is such a way to recovery. You know our neighbor fell off his roof and broke his back. He's doing really well. He's not hauling wood but he's out and about and is able to do some of the chores...they have some cattle. It's been a long road but he's made amazing progress and it sounds like Tom is making headway as well.

This is wonderful news Diane. Sounds like Tom is doing super. And the burger sounds good, too. Tell him not to overdo. Don't want a relapse. I'll continue prayers for you both.

Diane this is wonderful. Sounds like Tom is almost back to his normal self again. I'm sure that he is happy that he has been given the all clear by his doctor and is able to get back to living life to its fullest. Give him our best.

We want to thank you all once again for being here for us through our very trying autumn. It is so good to see him doing so many things again. He has to take it slowly, but he knows it will come.
