Can we use a photograph with a model who is not famous?
Also, can we use people we don't even know, but whose images we got off a stock photo site like FreeFotos and SXC? Am I wrong in assuming that they have signed model releases?
Just curious.

The bosses need to answer this, but I wanted to address your copyright on my flamingo sweetie! You don't need to put it there as I stated in my TOU. It would look much better without it! Hugs

OK. Thanks! I wanted to be CR aware and give you your proper credit because I love flamingoes and your tubes so much. Oooooh which brings up another question. Since we are here on our new place, and since we are still a CR aware board, are we still under the rule that every tag be CR'ed or is it OK if the tuber says we don't have to?

Grassy is right...everything needs a © and credit. That way I won't have to ask and delete. Thanks for putting it back on.
Regarding "models" I have permission from two places. On is an actual model and she takes her own photos. Some of them are really fantastic and you'll see me use her a lot. She also takes photos of other models, who had signed the "rights" over to her. These are "Unknowns" and so I can used them also because they are encompassed with her permission.
I have another permission which is another photographer. All his models are different, but his site also states that all the models have signed the rights to the photos over to him.
AGain, for each photo that you get from one of these stock photo sites, it's important that you read the TOU for each photographer. ANd be careful, there are some "stock sites" that just gather up any photo they find on the web. If there is no informaiton about a photo, do be careful

Grassy, may I make a suggestion for your flamingos? Yes, we need the copyright on the tag as you know now, but if you would like it to be a little lighter in color, you can use a dark pink or a lighter shade of grey so it would not stand out as much, but still be visible for everyone to read. Also when you do credits before you merge visible, you can lower the opacity of that layer till it is light enough to be unobtrusive, but dark enough to read, and I also use a slight drop shadow on my credits which gives them a nice look too.
Just a couple of ideas for you to consider.

Thanks Anita! I tried doing a gray color, but I couldn't read it, so I got scared and did the black instead. But of course just cause I can't read it doesn't mean that you guys can't read it. I think the beautiful flamingoes are a work in progress and I will keep on tweaking them and playing with them to get them just perfect. I love flamingoes so much!
