Question for people with yuku sites

I was just over st Simply Elegant and tried to save a tube. All I got was this tiny transparent gif, no png.

I wondered if it was a yuku glitch for today, but I went to Carol's site, Betsy, Bama and Jenne's and I didn't have any problem. All saved as png and when I checked the properties url, they were all loaded from Photobucket.

I went back to to SE and the same thing happened...nothing. All her tubes are showing up as transparent, not like the typical png with that gray or white looking background that really isn't a background. When I checked the properties it was static.yuku.com//common/bypass/images/transparent.gif, which if you put that in your browser, it's a blank page.

I know I had problems like this when Jenne was on the other site and someone told me to change the skin because there were others available. But I don't think you can do that on yuku, can you?

I was wondering if someone else was a member of SE if they could see what happens if you try to save something. Just if you have time though

I just came from SE, I grabbed a tube and it was fine. My garden group is Yuku but the other manager has been taking care of it so I don't know too much. She has changed the skin 3 times already if that is what you were asking.

HUronna I just took a trip over there and tried it. I just right clicked on the tube, save as and it saved as a png. So I am not having any problems.

I find SE so confuzing and Yuku is so slow to navagate the pages take forever for me to open... I'm glad now we're on proboards and least they open quickly... just where are the tubes, I see all kinds of posts but no tubes... well I did see download for pin ups but I'm not into them and the file was way to big just to check out... I wanted to help but gave up, sorry... grumble... grumble... signed old grouchy grama

I think that particular yuku is slow and hard as there are so many different areas. I'm glad the falling snowflakes have been removed because that took it even longer to load. I't just odd to me that I get get the tubes from all the other yuku sites but that one

I just downloaded a mermaid with no problem.

I'm sorry, I should say I right clicked and saved the png. No problem.

Huronna, thats the same problem that I had when I was using IE6....I think most forums now have added something to their code to fix it but maybe hells hasn't yet?

I might need that info too. One of the ladies from another group had trouble viewing some of my tubes. Maybe it's all part of the IE issue.

Huronna, I have no problem saving SE tubes. I do notice though that her site takes longer to get to places than my group at Yuku or any other I belong to. Silk

Huronna, I read a post someplace on SE site that a few others was having the same problem and that that hot place was going to be loading all the images as pspimages from now on and would be re-doing the current one too, if I understood her correctly. I don't know what it is because I have all of her tubes, even ones from the Yuku group and never had any trouble with them. But I guess others are having the same difficulty as you explained.

I guess I could try it on my husband's computer because he has IE7...but iwll have to do that when he's sleeping or at work or he'll slap my hand LOL

I went to the yuku help site, remember Carol when you posted there about the same problem. I found that post and the "fix" e-mailed H-e-l-l with the info and she fixed it, not I can download stuff again

That "HOT PLACE"?? What the heck does that mean?? ROFL.........I was talking about that hot place's tubes.

HA HA you have been hit by the censor. There are certain words when written that automatically are changed to other words. You can write that hot place's or H-e-l-l but if you write plane old that hot place it changes to "that hot place" There were quite a few times on the other site that certain words were used that weren't necessary, and proboards take care of that HA HA

i haven't noticed anything but yes you can change the skins @ yuku

Apparently you have to check each time you change those premade skins. I'll have to check the next time there is a switch
