I read through the TOU on SXC and I am confused about something. I picked about 20 pictures today and all but one says simply Stock Photo instead of giving me an artist name. Now for the artist's name that I do have I just do ©Name right? But what do I do for a stock photo? ©SXC? I am not finding an answer. Where would I find that out or do one of you know?

Also, can we post pictures of cocktails on our tags or is that bad form? What about people smoking ciggies? I know we have some rules about nudity or overt sexual content, but I wanted to make sure I was OK to post a 1940s pinup drinking champagne and smoking a cig before I made the tag.

The credit is usually photo from www.sxc.hu
Cocktails (as long as no one is portrayed drunk) and smoking (as long as you are not telling people to smoke) are ok, though everyone doesn't do either. But pinups are definitely out!!

OK on the pinup. I thought she'd be OK because she's wearing a knee length fur coat. But she looks famous so that may be bad to do too since she might be a star.
The one artist I know on SXC is one I had to fill out a special form for. I am waiting for him to write back to me to say yes or no. I suppose if he says OK, he would tell me how he wants it right?

I would think that he would tell you how he wants his credits. Does she have anything on under the coat? HA HA Is it closed? Is it a photo? Maybe there is something that says who it is.

It's a B&W photo and she's wearing a dotted dress underneath, but it's Lauren Bacall, so she's a no-no because she's famous right? I didn't know she was a blonde, but my mom says heck yeah!

Hee hee, I love old pictures. It's hard to tell who's famous, though, because all the women were so beautiful back then. I doubt if we'll ever see fashion like that anymore. I love it!
