Options for adding URLs to old tags

As most of you know , all those artist permissions to omit the URLs on g-rated sites (if their site contained adult material) do not pertain to forums, this permission only pertained to MSN groups.

Many of you never use the work of artists, whether FTU or PTU, but I bet over time you have picked up a snag or two or even a WWO.

You have two options. You can fix the tags for continued usage or....stop using them after Feb 1, 2009 (that's after a month's grace period)

What I have done is make a png of the adult artists that I normally use. If you are so inclined to fix any tags I have made you can easily do it by selecting the url only and using it to put on you tags.

I have made them with the same font and size that I normally use.

Adding a url is NOT considered altering a tag. It is making a tag usable rather than trash-able. But this decision is yours to make.

It's not as difficult task as you might think. What I did was save all my tags in my similar folders that I have for PB. then in AS I popped up all the needed URLs and then just picked and chose which one to use. When you re-save there really is not difference in the optimization nor the bytes. If you use optimize octree. I had over 300 tags to do and it took me 2 days from start to finish. Probably a total of 14 hours with potty breaks, pet the ferret breaks, TV breaks, answer post breaks etc.

What is important is to change the file name if you have already uploaded the original to PB. Just add a 2, so PB knows it's something new and you can then delete the old one.

Now I have to relook for the ones that I have snagged or presents I have been given.

On the png I posted, I put the artist name first since some of the URLs don't have the artist name in them

This is really nice of you. The only one I have tags from is Mike Dowdall. Not into getting, or making the sexy tags myself. Like the goofy people, and critters ;D

The thing is Dean, many of those adult artists also have some wonderful g-rated images, which are the ones I love to use. ANd being on MSN I could use them but not the urls, so I always had to get special permission except if they were PTU. So now it's just time to continue doing what is right

I want to thank you for making the list, but I may just delete my snags. This is going to get too confusing. Do we have to put urls on all the tags or just the PTU use ones. I don't use any of them. I haven't read in any of the TOU that the url has to be used on the tubes I use.

I don't use any of these artists because I don't pay for tubes, but, I'm sure it will be really helpful to those who do.

I'm wondering, also, where it states that we have to put the url back on the tags
This is too confusing for me too.
If the artists say that we can leave them off at MSN then why are they changing their minds and want them back on?
I haven't read in any TOU's that they want them back on, at least not in any that I use.
I really don't get it.

Susy, many of the artists I used were not PTU, but I had permission from them to omit the url on MSN groups. The PTU artist, were a different story, the TOU of the companies were that you could omit for MSN groups. SInce this is not an MSN group and it is not against any COC to have the url on the tags, they are supposed to be there.

The exception is, for example, "JustCarol", "Hellonlegs" and any one that specifically states in their TOU no url is needed.

As I said, it's up to you all what you do. Fix or delete. No one is going to ask you, hey where is that tag I made for you

I have a bunch of Suzanne Woolcutts tags that people made specifically for me without the urls. I never bought her, but I love the tags made for me and I want to use them if I want. As well as many other presents from people. I had already tossed over 2000 tags, that was enough

i've been saving my msn albums and things to my hard drive (PB still confuzzles me) but i'll try to be careful about what i do use in the future.

thank you for the urls so we can all make the needed alterations on the applicable snags.

I was just using PTU's as an example, just like FTU's, CILM, ABC's, XYZ's, whichever. LOL It's still all confusing to me.

As I stated before, it's great of you to share your credits.

Grassy....the Jeanne from PSP Depot does not need a url, but the Jenne from the yuku site does, but the old tags that have Jenne's treasures or her logo with the cat do not need to be altered, only new tags need the yuku url.

Swtmelode now will require the url on tags made with her images.

Susy, like I said, I had over 300 snags and personal tags made with these artists. I tossed twice as many of them but kept my favorites. And over the past 3 years I have probably made over 1000 tages for others and snags. It really would sadden me if every one was tossed rather than just adding a url

huronna, i had requested a mike dowdall "old hippie guy" WWO from you for a friend of mine. the credits have a slight drop shadow, plus it also says "huronna tag made with permission"

his eyesight is much better than mine, so if i send him the png, hopefully he can match the drop shadow to add the url himself. but i just wondered about the "permission" bit - is that still necessary if the url is added?

He has my permission to cover up the made with permission when he adds the url. I had added that on the tags as I had permission from him to omit the url on MSN sites. The drop shadow that I use on the pixelette is V 1/ H 2 Opacity 50 blur 6

Here TOU state that she requires her ©, but she has never required her url. Anything from here on in should have her url though since we are no longer an MSN group and we no longer have to abide by their rules.

I'm not "tossing" your tags, hon. I will just change them as I use them because they are scattered throughout 7 years worth of storage because I am sure that I probably snagged tags made with these artists in other groups.
I was only trying to make light of a situation.
