Flagryl, I have been snacking a bit too. I just love food so much! LOL! The Minnesota State Mankato Men's Basketball Team is headed to the Division II Final Four too.
Huronna, I hope you feel better really soon.
The trike is going to be really great. I can't wait to ride it. I think it is supposed to be really nice next week for us. Maybe Mother Nature will finally just let us have Spring without going back into Winter mode.

Huronna, I can't believe you pulled a "Peter Piper" with your thumb while your head and lungs are suffering so much. That's a pretty serious bite to leave you that black and blue. The last time I had to have extra treatment like that for bronchitis I had two rounds of steroids as well. It's hard to get well when one is really run down - as you are. I'd send you a break, I know you need one, but I'm not sure I can trust my aim or my luck these days. I'll tinkle a bell and ask the new Angel to visit you with strength instead. (I'm keeping all the healing I can get these days or I'd share.)
I got the results of the recent MRI guided biopsy today; I have the same kind of cancer in the other breast. I think the duct is in a different position, but the carcinoma is the same and the same grade. The good news is that "sentinel node" testing will now be done on both breasts when I have surgery. Sentinel node testing is a dye take-up test that spotlights which nodes are in conversation with a tumor so the surgeon can specifically remove them and not others. It greatly reduces the chance of recurrence or cancer in nodes under the arm - and forestalls removal of all armpit nodes which causes such severe lymphodema issues. I also completed the blood testing for cancer genetic testing - by driving 7 hours (total) yesterday to go up to where I had seen the first surgeon to have the blood drawn as that was the only place it could be done. That kit was an error; they meant to send another saliva test as I could do that at home. Si I messed one up and they messed one up. Sheesh! The did send another, but Fed Ex had it arriving too late in the week for the results to be done any earlier than mid week next. I'm hoping this way the stat part - the breast cancer genomes - will have been done by Monday.
April 1st I see the traditional oncology breast surgeon (the one who does the aggressive malignancy surgeries very quickly indeed, Grassy, my friend was in surgery a week after her diagnoses with pretty much all decisions made for her because of the severity.) she is the advocate of implants or lumpectomies, procedures requiring several surgeries, armpit and waist drains, radiation and/or chemo, fat grafting etc. I want to ask her some questions about simpler procedures that I might be able to tolerate. I am fighting getting radiation and multiple surgeries with everything I have. And, if possible, hormone blockers also. My skin is too old for the first, my brain is at risk from multiple anesthetic events due to covid, multiple recoveries would very probably put me in relapse or shingles, (I never got the shot after I was finally off the medication the meant I couldn't get it a few years back now. Ooops.) And hormone blockers will multiply other issues. I will not forget my list of questions and photos this time!
I also found another provider who does the simpler procedure - half the distance away. I still have some questions, as this is a plastic surgeon. Who takes care of the oncology stuff? But I will wait till next week to call back on that as they were slammed today and the new patient apt they gave me is not till my Anniversary; May 8th. It seems this is taking a very long time!
I bought a couch with a sofa bed and a recliner chair as all the breast cancer boards say I'll need a central place to hang out in. As careful as I was the sales lady wrote wrong data down and the delivery men brought a couch ten inches longer than I wanted with a queen bed instead of full, and a recliner operated by a lever on the outside (she knew I would not be able to use my arms after surgery,) instead of the one I looked at which had a switch inside the arm.) I annoyed the delivery guys and refused both items. That caused a few calls from the company, but I won and will get a refund. Meanwhile Steve and I went to another place, picked out a different "love Seat" with full bed and lovely small powered recliner with a lift. I wasn't going to get one as all have been so big that I saw, but this is going to be so helpful - for now and for long after.
The cat is confused; we put the "double recliner couch with center console" out on the porch, and are sitting in dining room chairs in the living room. Part of his daily routine disappeared;he loves to curl up on a towel over my legs (one leg bent makes a nice nest) every night after dinner when we watch a bit of something (currently "Northern Exposure" reruns on Amazon Prime.) He sulks and races about. He'll be happy next week when he has a couch AND a recliner. He used to love being between us on the couch we gave away before we got the Covid recovery "divorce couch" - which is what we call the double recliner one... the salesman we spoke to totally understood what we were referring to today when we mentioned it, lol. (Gonna sell or donate it; not sure. But it's out of the way and accessible on the porch.)
Oh! All neck and back x-rays have been checked; skull to pelvis. Nothing explains how I lost two inches in 5 months. My last bone scan was great in all categories and I can't have another till September, X-rays compare to previous ones well as far as height goes (thought there is significant and even severe damage in some areas,) and I am still 2 inches shorter with no explanation. I am really getting tired of being unique! Honestly... boring is fine. I'm good with average these days. Oh, wait... at 5'6" I am closer to average. Ah! Be careful what you pray for!
I noticed the announcement here. Very cool! I don't know about me making challenge tags, but bringing feathers here too is a lovely idea and I hope it has the desired effect. I'm swimming pretty strong and struggling for time in a lot of ways these days. We'll see.
In fact; I've been here too long and have to go. I'm leaving a ~~~~~~WAVE~~~~~ for all and wishing all those who celebrate a blessed Easter - and everyone who has a fun bunny time a Happy Hoppyday. Best wishes to all to stay well, get well, be well and, well, HUGS!!

OK came to complain, not about any of you but about my BIL. In on of the guest rooms we have a specially designed shade. It's white vertical material, keeps out the sun, but doesn't black dark the room. To open it there is a cord on the left side with a swivel that you turn so the individual blinds open but the shade is still closed. Usually that is all we do. The cords are gently pulled to move the entire vertical to the left and you have a wide open window. Usually people will ask how to open it if they want, but most people don't bother with it. SO I had been sleeping when it happened and didn't notice it, and no one said anything to me. I happened to go to that bathroom and passed the bedroom and there was the entire blind lying on the bed. Pulled off the wall. BIL and SIL were gone and I asked Joe what happened. "It fell off the window" Yeah right! Granted its about 23 years old, but it was custom made the way I wanted it. I don't remember the cost, but it was substantial back then and probably prohibitive now. So I have a repair person coming tomorrow and hopefully he will be able to fix it. Estimated cost $375. I'm just glad that the blinds weren't actually damaged.

Geeze Louise, somebody was impatient. I'm so sorry, another thing to fix. Perhaps BIL/SIL can put it back up *&^%$ Milyn, I'm hoping you get all these decisions resolved sooner than later. It's taking huge amounts of energy which you don't have right now. Good to see you Bubs and Tilly. Happy Easter everyone. I baked a cherry pie yesterday w/tart cherries from Door County, Wisc. I have only 1 jar left...have to order more. Today I made my crock pot scalloped potatoes complete with a white sauce made w/real butter and layered w/carmelized onions. Secret is a dash of nutmeg and Sherry. I'll add some shredded cheese at the end, probably Wisc white cheddar. This is a skinny recipe compared to those dump recipes that result in a gooey mess some w/fake cheese and it's healthier. Snowed today, 7 inches but melting. John couldn't blow it, too warm. More snow tonight, it will freeze then melt. Iowa plays LSU tomorrow, expecting a high octane game.
