Holy cow Milyn! The rock plan sounds like a winner. I am so glad you are getting your hair done and can get some pampering in.
Sometimes all those appointments are a grind. I am sorry that is happening to you. I am impressed that you thought to ask for pictures. I had my surgery 12 days after my diagnosis, so things moved incredibly rapidly for me. I got really sick after surgery (the only time I ever got the flu really bad - but I was working at the SPAM Museum, so with the public) and had to be off work and delay my radiation, so I had time to research. You have been so thorough. Kudos on that.
Flagryl, your trip sounds awesome. Nupa was wonderful. I had shrimp in my salad for a treat, and it was delicious.
We are supposed to get hit with two big storms - one tonight bringing snow and one Sunday - Tuesday bringing snow and rain. The slushy wet storm Sunday - Tuesday could mess with our power grid which always makes me nervous. We've been lucky in that where I live we have not had many bad storms.

It's been a long time since I posted. I have read the posts and my sympathy and love goes to all of you who have serious health issues. Today I opened psp for the first time. I can't believe how much I'd forgotten. I have almost made one set for May Auction and I am tired. My two gorgeous grandsons visited me yesterday and made me so happy. Levi is 21 today. The party is tonight with a Medieval theme . I'll post a picture of them. Jet is in costume ad Levi is behind him. I don't think they wore sunglasses back then.

You have some gorgeous men in your family Silk. Well the exhaustion has finally hit me and I woke yesterday with the beginnings of bronchitis. Slept about 9 hours last night and feel like I will be heading back to me bed in a little while. It's starting to break up with Mucinex and cough meds.
Joe was supposed to have his 4 week evaluation today but the guy never called to make the appt. Hope he just doesn't stop in Or maybe they aren't bothering since the Doc ordered another 4 weeks.

Silk, wow - your grandsons are hotties! It is so nice to see you!
Huronna, I hope you feel better soon. Bronchitis is a drag. I hope they get Joe's evaluation fixed.
We did not get the snow we were supposed to. The grass is barely covered. The sun is trying to come out. We really need the moisture.
Love to everyone who is suffering with health issues or is affected by the storms. Spring will be here before you know it. And for our Aussie friends, the relentless heat will subside. I love you all.

What bad luck Huronna. I know the bronchitis will take a toll. I think you are worn out after everything that's happened to you and Joe.

Silk, your grandsons are not only very handsome but have such a fun sense of life...truly admirable. Huronna, you have been through so much from the cruise from you know where and then attending to Joe. It's no wonder you are wavering. Best to you, heal up sister.
Glad the snow wasn't bad Grassy. We are supposed to get a good one this weekend, we'll see. If temps drop it will show some if not it's melting season.
My Drake women's basketball team lost tonight in their NCAA first round against #5 seed Colorado. Hard to watch but they made it to the dance and that's a huge feat. GO Lady Bulldogs. Univ of Iowa women play tomorrow featuring the famous Caitlin Clark, can't wait to see her play. Iowa women's basketball has always been on my radar as a wanna be point guard.

Feeling a bit better today, slept most of yesterday and then didn't have any energy. Talked to my PC and she sent a script to the nearby pharmacy and Joe picked it up. Slowly on the mend

Flagryl, we are supposed to get a second storm tomorrow that is supposed to dump anywhere from 3 - 12+" of snow before turning to rain Monday. There is confidence we will get snow, but how much depends upon how far north or south the storm goes. Are you enjoying the NCAA? I am. I am happy Iowa and Iowa State won, but sad Drake lost. I read somewhere that only 3 brackets for the men remain intact for the whole USA. I am more closely following the women.
Huronna, I hope you are feeling better.
I hope everyone is OK.

Hello all on this lunar eclipse night! I hope some good changes come our way. It got really cold here and I have been out in it relatively under dressed going to meetings so just crossing my fingers that sickness doesn't add to my list of complications. I am really sorry that you are dealing with that Huronna, and I hope your inner strength pulls on your bootstraps. Flagryl; hair color tomorrow - but no blue eye shadow... at least I think not. My eyes are so hooded now that they fall over my lashes, I think the blue would look a bit scary, lol. Mary; thank you. Warrior salute your way! Grassy; thank you as well; I think faster would have been easier in many ways. I still have not gotten photos and the wording has eaten away at my confidence. "I would have to" is not "I will" or "I will have my staff" or "It may take a few days" or even "I will get back to you. It feels arrogant and manipulative; especially for someone who may only have done this on then people and count each side as one procedure. I dunno. I see the "standard procedure" dr next Monday - and a plastic surgeon in there somewhere, and possibly one more surgeon who specializes in a different procedure called an aesthetic flat. At least she is not far away and in my usual medical system. Meanwhile; the 1st biopsy done on Feb 8th still hurts and has formed a huge ball inside the tissue. That's weird. The new biopsy is much less painful. It is underneath instead of 8 Oclock. That was a major deal to get done though; it took three hours! While filling out the paperwork I had to write many things quickly. The odd effects of being taken off my hormones are really kicking in. I spelled many words wrong, but the worst was when i wrote Lunpectomy and put the capital L backward. I have never done that before, though I do scramble letters (even typing) since 2004 when my ovaries were removed. I hope that isn['t repeated. Scary. Speaking of scary; I was approved for genetics testing and messed up the saliva test. I got the chemical into the tube with my saliva too soon and tried to add more saliva. I noticed because I felt my lip tingling. The snap cap has a film seal covering a reservoir of the chemical. I had read the instructions that say not to snap the cap till done, but I forgot. It takes a half an hour to get that much saliva and I wanted to set it down to type something. I did dozens of saliva tests over the years and you snap the cap on those every time you add saliva so you don't dump it by mistake. I snapped. Oops. Then I had to go humble pie and call and fess up and apologize and they laughed; just grateful I had not ingested any and washed it off my face. They promised to send another kit. Fed Ex took two extra days getting it here. I think that is becasue this one is not a saliva test. Apparently a judgement was made and I was disaproved for the potentially hazardous option. The new kit arrived this morning. It's a blood draw kit. Fortunately I see my dr on Tuesday and I know he will want to draw labs so he can add this in. I know he'll want to draw labs because the recent ones from last week show a 65 jump in blood sugar - for no reason that I can think of unless it was the figs at lunch, and some other irregularities. Sheesh! And I can't sleep. 45 minutes at a time is the deal again. It's making me pretty crazy. But then, who can tell? Silk your men are hunks for sure. And both are in costume. I may be wrong, but I think that is a brawny sunglass wearing, sword toting swashbuckling Pirate behind the crown. That or a musketeer without his doublet! Congrats on the set. You are inspiring. Keep getting well! Dashing. Gotta try to get in bed and catch a few sheep before they get the flock away from me. HUGS!!!

Grassy, we got about 7 inches Sunday morning and John blew it and then the sun took care of the rest. Broke my heart ISU lost to Stanford. I've recorded the Iowa game so hope they are victorious over W Virginia.
Milyn, my heart just aches to know what you are going through. You are revved up so I understand not being able to sleep...I do hope this changes soon.
Huronna, so glad you are better. Rock on.
Silk, so good to see you posting a little these days...always a good sign.
I baked a Spinach/Mushroom Quiche yesterday...it was awesome. A neighbor has made my day. I cracked the 15 amp plug on a really good hair dryer. I bought a new plug and he's going to fix it. He volunteers on the city's Fix It day, people bring broken small appliances etc and these guys show up and fix them. Actually, I bought a replacement hair dryer but now I'll have a really good one in our guest bath to replace the old cheapie that's there now. Progress.

Flagryl, the Iowa game is about to start. The ISU game was a heartbreaker, as was the Virginia Tech game. My daddy went to Tech, so there is a special place in my heart for the Hokies. My niece went to West Virginia, but I still want Iowa to win.
Milyn, you are right - "I'll have to . . . " sounds dismissive to me too. I wonder if she doesn't get back to you in a day or two, can you follow up with her? Tick Tock time's a-wasting and all that jazz. It's rude to keep you waiting. I know they take pictures because they took pictures of me at various appointments. I am so sorry for all the trouble.
We did not get near the snow they promised us - just enough to form a big slushy lake that will freeze tonight and be a giant pain in the butt. I got an adult trike today so I can ride around town and get groceries and go to the farmers' market, etc. It'll be a minute before I get to ride that bad boy I tellya what. But I am excited for the trike.
And the speed sensor in my 18 year old treadmill died over the weekend. So far in the space of six months, we've had two TVs, the microwave and the treadmill die. There must be some weird electromagnetic field around my house.

Iowa survived. Whew!!! On to Colorado...one bracket at a time! Bummer on the treadmill, I'd be a mess w/o mine. I've had that happen, it's not Karma.

The new treadmill comes this week. Sid couldn't fix it and we can't be without one. We're already going nuts ha ha ha. You can't just buy a speed sensor apparently. Even if you are a retired electrician.
So happy for Iowa! That game was a barn burner! Once you get to this level of play, it gets really good. The UConn game was great too. I love UConn because of Paige Bueckers who is from Hopkins, MN.

Harvy ( Joe’s walker) bit my thumb yesterday, it ranges from black to purple from the bottom or the nail bed to the bottom Of my thumb. I’m still not back to my normal energy level, have not gone to the gym In almost two weeks. I feel like a slug with a runny nose, good thing we buy tissues in bulk

Oh My Word, OUCH just doesn't do it. That's like having a car door slam on your hand. Hugs to you. The NAU women play SD in the NIT championship tonight. We are having the rest of the Mushroom/Spinach Quiche I made Sunday with fresh asperagus and salad. Can you tell I'm hungry already. So with the new feather announcement, hoping to see an uptick in the challenge entries here!

Hi Kimber!
Flagryl, did you see that Minnesota State Mankato won Division II Women's Basketball Title? Yay Lady Mavericks!
Can't wait for Iowa to play again.

Yea Lady Mavericks! I think they are all out for Catlin, happens when you are good are out there. Bring it on!
I repotted 2 of my violets, should have sliced the core down and repotted but was lazy. These are the granddaughters of my Grandfather's violet I inherited in 1976. I still have 2 of the mother's, lost the original a few years ago. Died from the inside out, happens.
I cooked a pot roast tonight, one of our favs. We only have beef once a week. Tomorrow is chicken legs, then cod, then salmon, then lamb loins on Easter.

Mankato is Division II. There is some good basketball in Division II, but nothing quite like Caitlin Clark and the other Division I people. Caitlin Clark is like a unicorn - so rare and special. I have noticed some mean articles about her this week. That disappointed me.
Our snow is almost all melted. Sid is out in the garage putting my trike together. They called it mint green, but it is more psych ward green - kind of that institutional green. It has a matte finish instead of shiny. Which makes it even cooler. I am so excited. I will post pictures when it is assembled.
The new treadmill comes tomorrow and I can't wait! It's so hard in the winter to not have a treadmill to walk inside. I am afraid I am going to fall outside. I feel like I have gained five pounds this week without having the treadmill. I worked out on our recumbent bike, but that is so hard on the knees and hips. I feel old today.

Great to see you Kimber, thanks for checking in. Yeah Grassy, I saw those articles too. I think some news people just want something to write about and negative stuff gets some clicks so there's that.
I'm excited about your treadmill and trike too. Sounds like a cool color! I've gained a couple too but it's my big mouth snacking.
Got lots done today, some misc stuff but necessary details/chores. Huronna, I sure hope that latest shot clears things up. Hard go, you take care.
High of 53 today teasing us with Spring but we have snow coming on Easter but it won't last long with the temps.
