We were stranded for 11 days last year and it resonates. Do you have a garden and can veggies? We stock up and other than fresh stuff we are good. Do you have someone or do you plow your drive?

we are home.. surgery went well, he says he sore, ya think! ( no biggy just another spot to hurt, his term not mine) they have the gizmo (technical term) on a low setting so he'll feel no effects..this thing is the size of a double stuffed oreo.. implanted in his back right above his waist line...just 1 more do-dad implanted in him, I do know theres a setting on the remote that shocks him. .... and I told the tech I wanted it just to keep him in line... nothing will change till next monday, they want things to heal..got home at 300 yesterday and he wanted to go out to dinner and DRIVE.doctor was dumb enough to answer him on driving and said in about 12 hours, then told me dont worry he won't want to drive ... ya sure. I'm gonna need handcuffs and LOTS of duck tape! See why I want the shock setting..ok off to nail his feet to the floor even if he doesn't have shoes on!

Something for other women to think about...put that device in a pre-nup? Glad you are both home and I hope all goes well! Try the duck tape and handcuffs first, always good to have a plan.
We've had some unseasonally warm weather whilst so many are getting slammed w/cold and snow. Going to snow this weekend.

I love your posts Clyde or Chance or 1247...I guess you answer to them all? With all you and hubby go through, it's great that your sense of humor is still in tact. Well we have a heat wave today. Yesterday it was 41 and today it's not 62. You never know from one day to another. I do like the idea of duck tape and hancuffs though, very interesting

Hello all! Two more days we're open. It's getting down there. Only one person was mean to me though, so that is good for all the traffic we had today. I work tomorrow and Sunday and then Monday I work to clean up and pack up and then it will be the end of an era.
It is super cold here, but we do not have the snow in Minnesota that Margie has in Iowa. In fact, there is more snow in Alabama than there is in Minneapolis.

Time to get the winter gear out.. even though my walks and drive have been cleared..NOT by me, my 1 neighbor did it in the morning and my kids sent a plow out later that afternoon..We only had 3 inches but with the blowing and drifting there was about 7 inches on the grass So, I still had to go shovel a small area on the grass as the dog REFUSED to go into deep snow .. so it was snowshoes, boots and hand warmer time ( hand warmers go in my bra helps keep you warm) Then I had to deal with a BORED husband.. He thought it would be a good idea to go out to dinner after all the walks were cleaned, and the restrautants wouldn't be crowded, GRRRRRR......WRONG! So back out side I went, hauled out the grill, and with snowflakes as big a my hand, the wind howling and icicles forming on my hoodie I cooked OUT! I have to be as crazy as he is... Anyone else cook out yesterday? Huronnna heres something to keep you busy...if you want.... we.tl/t-nUd71isXS8

Hi! I am waving to everyone and passing around a box of good wishes like Bonbons (does anyone remember Bonbons? the boxes were beautiful!)
Grassy, I saw you said the end of an era, and I know you are referring to your recent employment... I hope that end goes well and you move forward into something exciting and fun. I hope everyone moves forward into something new and exciting for it is the end of an era in another way today as well:
I have been studying Astrology. At 7:56pm EST tonight Pluto and the Sun (which is aligned/conjunct with Pluto) move together from the sign Capricorn into the Sign of Aquarius. Pluto will not be conjunct with the sun in Capricorn again during the lifetime of anyone currently alive on this planet because Pluto will not be at that same spot in Capricorn for the next 248+ years. There's a lot going on in this field of study that is exciting at the moment, but Pluto entering Aquarius where it will stay for most of twenty years has been a long anticipated event. The Age Of Aquarius is officially starting, hopefully ushering in changes that live up to the anticipation. Soon there is a full moon in Leo, with the moon in Leo and the Sun in an Aquarius that also has Pluto in it - for the first time in 250 years. A full moon in Leo is always a powerful one because Leo is strength, but this will be enhanced. By the end of February we will have entered the Asian Year Of The Dragon and the last sign (Pisces) of this Zodiac rotation as well. It's exciting, and I could go on - but I know you are probably bored.
I'm planning on starting a YouTube Channel and possibly a .com site that will feature Astrology and Tarot, Numerology, and more. In fact, I'm hoping to do a variety of things that will somehow include animations (and invitations here for people to learn how). This is a very pivotal creative time for me, and I have been styudying like crazy to try to start at this point in time. Aside from all that, I have family things going on; my brother has been in hospital (nearly fatally ill) twice; he is finally home, my other brother still healing a (Oct) broken neck has been dealing with a lot of weather issues, we will be flying up to visit Steve's son (the visit promised when Steve's daughter was murdered near TG) at his animal sanctuary in VT on Feb 2nd for a few days, and I pick up my 1 year chip shortly after that. It's been a busy time!
But I think of you all and wish you the best in every way. I'll be back when I can. HUGS!

We do grill out 12 months year round. Last night John grilled chicken breasts, the night before that we had grilled tuna. We have 2 grills, a gas grill he uses for lighter meats and chicken and a charcoal for other meats. We have to use the gas grill in spring when it's dry here in the western mountains as it's dry and charcoal is forbidden because of fires. I don't grill as a rule. John is a Wisconsin boy and he doesn't mind the cold and the wind, he's even grilled out in snowstorms, but the grills are mostly undercover. We have some snow coming in tomorrow, we may get up to 10 inches.
I'll go check out your images Clyde and see what Huronna does, thank you both!
Grassy, I hope the overall experience has been a good one. Hi Milyn, glad you checked in. You have more ambition than I could muster. Goodness sakes, it's all I can do to stay afloat with day-to-day, psp and AL/AD. I am still so very sorry about Steve's daughter, best to both of you. I hope your brothers recover and that eases your mind as well.

I really hope you can spend some time in Uruguay. My daughter was an exchange student there and loved it. She was in Merecedes but family had a place on the coast in Punte del Este. I hope you enjoy Chile, we love Santiago. Our exchange student friend lived in Punta Arenas, a bit farther south from where you are scheduled. She is a doctor in Chile a bit north of there. John hiked Patagonia for 2 weeks in 2015,amazing trip, more far inland than where you are going. I hope you can do some inland treks.

In 2015 we did a land tour that started in Santiago Chile, went through the Andes to Buenas Aires, Argentina, the Iguazu Falls and Rio. Joe was a whole lot more mobile then, but that was 8 years ago, Now we cruise and take small tours at each port we stop in. Then back to the ship to relax and recuperate LOL I keep trying to check in on-line, but since the flight doesn't leave Tampa until 11:45 am, I get that message...too early! I may not take as many photos in Rios as I did the last time, because they would just be repeats of what you can see here from the last trip. animationlessons.proboards.com/thread/30288/5-rio-de-janerio-brazil

Thank you Huronna... have a wonderful time in Brazil and on from there!
Flagryl - I am busy, that's true. I admit I've given up the time I used to put into PSP to try other things. Before that I gave up the time I had put into making jewelry and melting glass to work in PSP. I'm not sure which of the things that interest me are going to be where my time is spent this year, but I know there are only so many hours in the day and my vision is very different. I feel a lot of anxiety over the things I can't fit in, like PSP, but that doesn't change the fact that I don't get anything made when I open the program and try - yet I do get other things done when I try to do them. Perhaps I am evolving. What I really need to do is empty this house, but I have not gotten there yet. Perhaps after this Full Moon transformation and reset energy combines with my upcoming birthday to make me wiser... One can hope!
Blessings to all... and HUGS!

Today was our first full day and five hour tour, I took some interesting photos and had to find the inforto go with them as our tour guide did not even mention them. I spent over four hours editing and writing the info and was just about to upload the photos and they went poof and disappeared. I have no idea where they went. But I was so upset and it was already eight PM, so I grabbed Joe and we went to the bar for one drink. I will relax tonight and tomorrow I will search again for them.
Joe did not go on the tour today as it was a lot of walking and last night when we got back to our room he tripped and wound up on the floor. Thankfully nothing was broken, except his pride. A big scratch on his forehead and another on his arm, I hav lots of bandaids and thankfully he clots pretty quickly. So he too the day off today. Tomorrow is another day and then the day after it’s on our home away from home the cruise ship. We are both ready, for a lot of reasons.

Oh no! I hope Joe isn't too sore today!
Milyn, have fun. You go from one thing to another like a gorgeous butterfly. It's so fun to hear about all your activities. It's lovely to take in all of life. I hope you enjoy it all and embrace all life has to offer.
How are Rita and Silk feeling, does anybody know?
I am home now. I am cleaning my house. I loved my job and I kind of don't know what to do with myself now. We're all going bowling Saturday night. I miss not having a routine and somewhere to go every day. Now grocery shopping is the big excitement. As soon as I get my house cleaned, I can do some PSP. My house is not dirty - just full of stuff I did not put away while I worked. That last day - when everything had to be sold - I got beads for two cents on the dollar. Now I have to find a home for them. I am not a good one for disorganization.
How is your husband Clyde? How are You?
How is everybody?
Flagryl, we grill out all year too. Yummy!

Huronna... I hope Joe is OK, and the photos magically "poof" appear!
Thank you Grassy... I hope you get organized and find something new to do soon. I used to love bowling. I hope you roll strikes! And congrats on those bead deals. I know you'll have fun with them.
Butterfly! Huh. That made me remember something: I have a Native American name given to me by a Lakota Chief when I was a Dancer in a Sacred Circle raising energy for World Peace on a mountaintop in 2016; fasting and praying (while making prayer tags) for three days, staying in a tent, speaking to no-one, and exiting the tent when called by the Chief to dance my line back and forth from tent to the sacred tree in the center, often in pouring rain and mud. Four other (experienced) dancers did the same from their tents; our paths formed a star with the tree in the center. I had never done that before but did so well I got a name. That is an honor - and a three word name is a big honor: "Butterfly Dances Rainbows" had a lot to do with the big skirts I brought and packed up the mountain to dance in (I had no formal costumes,) but also refers to my heart as the Chief saw it. I guess that's true a true assessment of me.
I bought my first Tarot deck in college, I still have it. I've been adding to it since and have about 50 that I use regularly now. Astrology has interested me but always seemed out of my league of understanding until last year I was suddenly able to grasp it. Literally suddenly; I inhaled high level data and spouted it as if I had taken college courses. Yet, ss recently as 2019 I left a local beginning Astrology class (pre pandemic when classes were taught in person, lol) in the middle completely overwhelmed and in tears; it was like reading Greek and very basic things gave me huge anxiety. I didn't even ask for my money back. I was notoriously remembered for that - I cried in class. Then the instructor met me last year and I suddenly knew more than her. Weird.
I got into PSP completely by accident: I joined eBay to try to learn how to use that platform to sell my glass and bead art in 2004. Looking for a learning/tutorial area I stumbled into "The Park." In the list of threads I spotted "So You Want To Learn PSP" by Red Fiesta. I owned PSP and used it to make tags for my beads and retouch photos... I never did learn how to use eBay as I played in the park with Red and Methome, and Ffuts and many more exploring PSP. It was four years of unexpected fun - and then I found Angel's Design and then landed at AL.
I never meant to melt glass either. That came out of nowhere and changed the course of my life when I was 50. In many ways I wish I had never made the first bead with the beginner kit I ordered on a whim for my birthday. I spotted that kit searching for beads to buy to put on the "tails" of the beaded ritual "Smudge Feathers" (feathers used to move smoke in Blessings or other prayer oriented ceremonies,) that I was successfully making as a local business. I never beaded another after melting glass, let my business die and lapsed my business license. I have one left. Instead glass took me on a journey that included an unhappy ownership and management of a gallery that sold my glass for a decade while I went back and forth in mom care - and created in PSP too.
I am learning to look at my life through the lens of my severe auADHD - diagnosed 18 months ago from the (complete) childhood school records I found in mom's estate (they were illuminating, lol) and four months of testing and interviews with a specialist for which I am medicated now. Sometimes I can do things and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I can learn things brilliantly, and sometimes I can't. Sometimes I will all of a sudden no longer be able to focus on things I have done intensely and skillfully, and sometimes that focus returns. Butterfly R Us!
The thing is; people can easily get the idea that I don't care about them because I fade away or pop back in. That makes me sad. I'm getting old enough where I can't say I remember everyone I ever knew, but if I treasured someone at some point, I treasure them still. In that I am not a butterfly.
Apologies for the book. I hurt myself badly praying last night and pain meds have apparently made me chatty. Hugs to all, and ~~~~Waves~~~~
