Hi all my precious Tigerlilies! I am on Day Four of a five-day stretch. We begin liquidation tomorrow and then it will be total insanity. The whole store is 20% off effective tomorrow. Work pretty much breaks up my day. I generally work noon to five so when I am finished my feet hurt and i am exhausted. It takes a lot of psychic energy to deal with some people. In other words, some people are just poops. Ha Ha. But things are going really well. I love my job. I love cashiering. Otherwise, things are great. I am sorry I haven't been around. What have all of y'all been up to? I love you all!

Oh, wow. Wishing I were bowling with you Dee. Love those. Are those the ones with oreos and cream cheese? They look fab! John bakes the cookies in this house but hasn't started yet. I baked a peach cobbler on Fri, tho. Grassy, glad you like the cashiering. Bet you're good at it but takes it out on your feet.
I am making Lemongrass and Coconut oil sugar scrub for my book club members, lil 6 oz jars. I bought the last organic extra virgin coconut oil jar at our lil grocery store yesterday. So good for your skin.
I had to hang back and print out our Xmas card labels and print out our letter, so John picked out a Xmas tree on his grocery run. We've bought our trees from the same guy for over 20years, my John did a super job. We put it up and it's waiting to be decorated, we only put tiny white lights on it. Packed all the ornament decorations away in dedicated boxes for kids/grandkids. Easy peasy. I have some fairy lights I arrange in my study, they may go up today. I do decorate the fireplace mantle. Will post a pic later.

those look AMAZING Dee!
We decided not to decorate this year. The newest orange furball is a one cat bull in a china shop! Mercy! We just know if we do put up a tree he will knock it over so we're not gonna even try.
Hope everyone's December is going well so far! We are supposed to get some of the S*** this week but nothing compared to what Flagryl has seen so far!

I am trying to get some decs up; lights on the porch and garland on the front so far. I need to bring cookies to a couple places and am researching vegan gluten free options as I have a friend who never has anything to eat at such events who will be at both. I hope they work out. I miss the days of my youth when we'd make sugar cookies and decorate them. I still have the cutters. Those are happy memories.

We began liquidation yesterday. They did not enter the discounts into the computer so we have to ring up each item by hand and then calculate the percentage based off a worksheet. So far the majority of the people have been patient, but you do always get you odd Scrooge in there. We've been telling people we were going out of business since October, so I am a bit taken aback at how many people were surprised yesterday when they found out we are closing - and how their coupons don't work because we're in liquidation and how they can't return anything despite the ALL SALES FINAL signs everywhere.
Yall, I was a mean girl yesterday. I said something about something that a co-worker does that frustrates me to another co-worker and my manager. I have sort of said it directly to my co-worker, although not in terms she understands because she keeps on doing it. So I don't know if that counts as talking behind her back since I have said it to her face. Am I a gossip girl? The girl got into trouble with another co-worker because that woman and her husband butted heads with this co-worker during a very busy time in the store, and the co-worker wasn't listening nor wanting to resolve things so we were all frustrated. I know, life is all high school. I just wanted a fun, drama free job and her I go saying something that I already said. Am I bad? But I never say anything behind a person's back that I don't say to their face, so if she asks if I said it, I can tell her I have already told her to her face what I said. But you know how it is. You don't want to go around hurting people's feelings. It's just frustrating when your line builds up because two co-workers are arguing over an employee discount.

Truer words were never spoken if you'll tolerate a cliche. I'm sorry there were issues Grassy. I know you are conscientious so I'm sure it's hard to be in a situation where others want to slide.
Attended our bookclub luncheon, I ate too much. Was doing fine with the salad and the cup of my favorite soup, Red Pepper Gouda, until they brought the dessert menu and creme brule just called my name. I made sugar scrub for everyone as previously mentioned. A dear friend used my husband's late sister's scone recipe and brought each of us 2!!! Cranberry w/orange zest. Yum
I have made all my Zone Auction tags except one, just waing for a decision. May have to wait on a couple I won.

Oh crap, December was Zone Auction! Phooey! Your lunch sounds lovely, Flagryl. The liquidation is stressful. And on top of that is Christmas. I wasn't quite prepared for it. I didn't expect people to be as cranky, but it's nothing personal, so it doesn't stay with me. It's a reflection on them, though. I am glad I am conscientious and kind.

Today I get to go to Madelia to get my eyes checked. Madelia is a ways from Blooming Prairie - about 75 miles - but there is a radio station that plays all Christmas music. I got my Holiday Mojo back because I know my hard work is worth it.

I've been on many cruises and I don't every remember getting sea sick, except once when there were 30 ft swells, off the coast of New Zealand. The water isn't rough but I sure feel sea sick, maybe is all the rich food I've been eating that I'm not used to. May just have yogurt for dinner tonight

I hope all this passes Huronna, that's one of the reasons I never want to be out in the open ocean. Crossed the English channel a couple of times without problems but needed meds and patch for the trip from Maine to Novia Scotia. Good thing it was a short one. However, I did hold my own Salmon fishing 5 mi out with deep swells. Capt's mate said, stand firm with your feet a foot apart and look only at the horizon. Worked. Don't know how you can do that inside a ship.
Got studded tires on my SUV yesterday, same ones John has on his...we can go anywhere now. No snow in the forecast but wait til January, sure wish I could ski...miss those days.
Grassy, hope your eye appt goes well. Glad there's no snow to impede your travel.
Our 30 plus yr old soft white xmas tree lights finally died, no amount of replacing the lit bulbs helped so John ran out to Home Depot. New ones are closer together than ours. Hope it's not too much. Why does everything need to be so over the top? I like simplicity, no clutter and certainly not all that gawdy stuff. I put the garland on the fireplace mantle and did adorn it with a simple strand of fairy lights. I filled some clear glass vases with Sweet Gum Balls I've had since we lived in Ohio.
Getting ready.

Well December can oficially be over now. I'm done with it. Our furnace started making horrendous loud noises yesterday. Does it every time it runs. And Mike had to go in to work for a meeting this morning and swerved to miss a dear and ended up hitting something else. Car ended up in a field. He said the patrol man said he figured the insurance would total it. So he asks me if I know of anyone WE can borrow a car from. Well, I said Mom has a car she isn't using and told him HE is going to have to call her. i give up!

Oh dear me...oh Mary, what an ordeal...well both. I hope you get the furnace fixed, could be a fan. I've hit a deer before and both my daughter and grandson totalled their cars hitting a deer. I just hope your insurance covers enough for a suitable replacement. Breathe...

We are home, and exhausted. We got up at 7 this morning so we could priority disembark with wheelchair assist for Joe, I can never sleep the night before leaving or coming home. woke every 2 hours to look at the clock. We were home by 9, and have unpacked, and the second load of wash is in the washer. I sure miss the other ship where they do free laundry. Zipped up things from my laptop and got them on my PC. Wrote out yearly christmas Letter while on the cruise, now will have to edit it and print them out. We had already addressed the cards and envelops, even with return addresses and stamps, only need the letter. May take a little nap once the wash is done and then have to do come grocery chopping as the cupboard is very bare It sure is not to have great wifi, I wonder if things I posted actually made it
I also noticed that none of my sig tags were showing. I had noticed this on my lap top but figured it was the wifi, just realized now that I had put one wrong letter in it and that's why nothing ever showed. DUH

Glad you're home safe and sound!
Well to pile on to the December suckage, our furnace quit yesterday. It started making a loud weird noise the other day. Mike figured out what it was and ordered the part today but it will be a few days before it's in so he can pick it up. We will be going over to my Mom's to stay. Her house is empty and she has heat and wifi. LOL
I am DONE with December universe! Do you hear me??

I'm still no caught up. finally went grocery shopping, ugh what a bill as the cupboards were bare. All my Christmas cards and letters are ready to go in the mail. and then tomorrow I have another whopping task to attack....e-Visas for Brazil. I was holding off on starting them until Joe cam back from seeing the Doc, all tests show inflammation , nothing broken, no floating bodies, no more arthritis than before. Script is prednisone, but very different from what I have had to take in the past. this time its 5 pills, for three days, then 4 pills for 3 days, then 3 , then 2 then 1 and that last one is on...Merry Christmas. I still have a few bill to go through and file, and then I think I can relax a bit. And I do have the MOY forum set done, hee hee I know who it is hA HA Maybe I' get something done for the group soon, oh I did do a couple of new tubes, Children7, dolphy and shakilow Neel
