Thank you Flagryl for this challenge. A great quote. Mine is a snag. I've taken an age to do it...doddering like an old woman!! Yours is adorable. Just some Underwater on the tassel and the chick's wings for mine.
I always seem to forget to say what I did. Probably because I forgot half of what I did do. First this is not a tube, it is a full image, it’s one of those monochrome images that artist do that if you put a colored layer under them and change the blend, sometime to multiply and sometimes to luminescence you will get a different look. That is what I did with this one. Because it was not a tube but a full image the idea is to select certain areas to animate. First I tubed out that “hat” and did the underwater movement on it. Next was the bottle cap, which also is underwater but the reflection type. The belly was PSP-punch and the jacket was PSP-noise. He was holding a match stick and at first I was trying to do something with noise or sparkles, so I looked in my treasure chest of premade animations. I found a four layers sparkle by RaeSparklerTrans, but it was on a black background. So in AS I did the color replacemenet and changed that to transparent. Resized so it just fit on the tip of the matchstick. Whala! But I was still missing something. Any other movemnet you really have to be careful doing because remember you are not working on a tube, You have to be careful what you select so as not to inadvertently move something else. The feet were pretty easy since they sort of were separated. So I copied and pasted all the layers from AS- to PSP to work on this. There were 18 layers so I just moved a foot a wee bit here and some there, with the warp brush. to move the “want” I actually made a selection large around the area, careful not to touch anything other that a small part of his arm and a lot of empty space. Using a large diameter on the warp brush, move that a wee bit also. Using a large diamater will keep the section of the arm in movement with the tip of the wand.
well I think that is about it, and you probably got more than you bargained for on this one LOL
I think Fotki may be down, I can't get in and can't see images above. I hope this works. Now that Fotki is up, I changed to the Fotki links so the set shows.
I made you this set Flagryl. I hope you like it.
As for what I did... Hmmm... I altered the Word Art. I bought some supplies (some people will actually gasp on reading that.) Then I removed swans from the background (you can see them in the av) in PSP with rudimentary tube making skills like erase and background erase. (Because I was resetting them onto blue sky that "cheat" level of tubing was sufficient.) I turned them into a flying bird using hand placement in each frame of ani shop. I used the clouds as reference and tried to simulate the up and down action of birds in flight. I realize that they are flying too fast for swans; but I allowed that for this level of tag. For an auction tag (for instance,) I would possibly have "stalled" them in each position for an extra frame and/or altered them (with the push tool?) to create two new birds that were slightly different to slow down the flight. Anyway; also in AS, I put a gentle underwater effect (you might miss it) on the big bloom and added bling sparkles below both blossoms (resized on the smaller). I made the bear blink twice in PSP (exported frames from AS). Finally; I spent quite a bit of time in PSP hand altering the mouse and getting the movement timing to mimic something that was acceptably conversational. Saved as a separate Ani; I opened it in AS and layered it on as a last step before saving as a blank mng. Pretty simple stuff really, but fiddly - which means time. 7 hours? Maybe more. It was fun!
Sorry I could only attach the avatar as anything over 1 mb will not attach but clicking on the PB links works just fine
