So hang onto your seat because we begin our trip now.
Our trip started off a little rocky. Our first flight to JFK was delayed because of weather in NY.
Before we even started our flight we knew that we would miss our connecting flight to Seoul.
We were able to call Delta and they rebooked us on the next flight which was 2 in the afternoon rather than at midnight.
We arrived at JFK around 1 AM, and of course all the gates were closed so we couldn't even relax in the Delta Lounge.
We actually just sat and walked around until 10 the next morning when we were able to check in and go to the Lounge.
After that, flights were smooth sailing or should I say flying. We flew business all the way so at times we were able to put those spacious seats into a bed and nap....they only way to fly when you get older and it's a long distance.
We arrived in Seoul, then transferred to Hanoi arriving at the airport about 12 hours later than expected.
I had contacted Avalon advising them of our problem and they arranged for us to be picked up at that time.
We got to the hotel, unpacked a bit and the electric went out. We called and someone came right up, he reset the fuse box and there was light. As soon as he left the room, out went the lights again. He returned and while he was still there, out they went again. Next to arrive was the manager with news that they were moving us to a suite. That was ok with us.
Our first walk in the heat was to the closest pagoda.
a vew common sight
Later we went to the Golden Pagoda
And walked back to the hotel, here's a few sights. All are labeled.
before
after
Our excursion to the Lotte Observation Tower

One of the most enjoyable things was the Water Puppet Show.
