I use PSP9, the last one JASC did before they sold out to Corel. In my humble opinion it is the most stable for me.

I also use PSP9 and have always been comfortable with it. I am not keen on change. Lots of our members use later ones.

I still use the old reliable Jasc 8, though I do have one of the newer Corel versions for only two reasons. One is radial blur and the other is convert things in tutorials that have not been made compatible to the older versions. I used to send Suzie a link and ask her to convert for me, it about seven years ago I bit the bullet and got one. That is the only thing I do there, because to me the color of things is jus not realistic. And why break something old and reliable?

I use PSPv4 primarily but also have X loaded on my computer because I can copy/paste back from AS into X and end up with all the layers, can't do that w/v4 as it crashes.

I haven't done any PSPing for a while because PSP9 stopped working on my computer but it still works on my laptop. I just haven't transferred any of my PSP files to my laptop recently so I can continue to use it. I've used 9 for many years now.

Hi everyone thank you all for your input I have been able to install PSP 9,12 and x17. I can get the tubes to load in 9 and 12 as .png but other wise not at all. I have gotten some of the plugins to loaded in 9 and 12 and a few in X17. I remember being able to load ICNET Filters Unlimited in my PSP folders but I cant remember how I did it. I have made a couple tags but haven't really animated anything as yet. I will go online an check and see I can recall how to do some of these things, seems my remembering thing in my brain is slightly bent LOL Hugs to all and thanks for your help . Polly

Corel over the last decade has moved in the direction of competition w/Adobe Photoshop. So, if you are into photography PSP versions beyond X and v2 are more appropriate for such. However, among the communities that I hang out with that use PSP those newer versions are useless for what we do. So, I wouldn't expect too much.
