I keep thinking I'll turn the corner and get some PSP time...but no. I've been helping my husband with his revised book edition. He's scanning old slides used for his book and I've been restoring them. Long process. Originals were from early to mid 70s. I just got done and then boom! He was out on our property hauling logs from a tree he downed, wanting to clean up the forest before this snow storm hits today...supposed to get a huge system in here. He was hauling the logs with his ATV on a very steep part and he rolled it on top of himself. Thankfully, it could have been worse. Just got back...Doc says its a mild shoulder separation. But, with snow storm coming in...geez, not sure I can handle that big snow blower or the blade on the ATV. I'll keep you all posted.

The Natural Vegetation of North America, it's a college text book for undergraduate botany classes. Some of the pics are from places neither he nor I want to visit again, ie Costa Rica, Alaska and Antarctia. GB, I was terrified. Would you believe he righted the ATV, finished loading and hauling the logs, came back to the house and then climbed onto the roof to run the electric cords down the drain pipes [part of our system to melt ice dams on the roof], showered and then went into the clinic!!! Adrenaline. He's now crashed with ice packs, Ibprophen and football!!! Says he didn't hurt until after he showered. And then, he was in pain. Big pain. How can you trust a man who does that?

Oh my, I sure hope that he fells better. Men are definitely funny, they hide things that hurt until it really gets worse. Bundle up and light the fire and snuggle. Forget about moving the snow....just get out the sled tomorrow and slide down that driveway

I am so glad his injury was not worse. A separated shoulder is bad enough. Stay warm and safe. Hugs, Sandy

Thank heavens he wasn't hurt worse Flagryl and he will have a speedy recovery from it. I see on the weather report you all have 1-3 inches of snow this morning but we are expecting a biggie come tomorrow that is to last through Tuesday. You need a hired hand to help you out with the snow removal lady. I remember how it feels to get completely snowed in. lol

We only got 1.5 inches last night. Hubby is not as bad as expected. He finally leveled with me. He was hauling too heavy a load down hill, the base logs from the Ponderosa. At some point the heavy trailer started pushing the ATV and he slid sideways and couldn't correct. The ATV actually rolled over him...very lucky...and lodged between two trees and stopped. No damage to the ATV other than the trailer hitch. Says he now knows what it feels like to be tackled by 5 Green Bay Packers! Men!

Correction. We got about 4-5 inches. Looks can be deceiving. I'm heading out to supervise this snow blower thing. Packerboy's gonna handle this thing with his arm in a sling! Men!!

I don't think he's all that bad. He just fired up the big track snowblower and I did the upper part of our driveway. Then, he took it down the hill [it pulls you and he thinks I don't weigh enough] and I brought it back up. It gets dicey on the incline so he took over and fired me [!]. He's sore but I think Packerboy is just fine. No more sympathy from me. Anyway, he's out there doing all this so he can go in town and watch the Packers play this afternoon at the Sports Bar since we don't get that channel. I'm not going in. It's a great place, all nonsmoking and they serve great food, good coffee and gourmet tea...and his favorite Pepsi. I think some do drink beer there, but it's a real granola kind of bar. And, of course, all the Packer fans like us who can't afford the sports package show up at gametime.
