Well, I'm here so guess I didn't go with dh to drive son back to work. ;D Wasn't enough room in the truck with all his stuff (took a old tv and his xbox too) Just as well since my back would get so sore on the long drive. Was looking forward to watching Survivor but stupid basketball in on instead. Heres the snag...was going to add the vase but its not really that good. Thanks for the doily, GB! I think I lost the one that I made!

That is beautiful Carol. Thank you.
Hope your hubby has a safe trip to the mines and back. Boy, I wouldn't want the job your son has. My great grand dad used to work in the coal mines in Pa. I don't remember that or him, but I remember mom and dad talking about it a lot. Doesn't sound like a very good job. But in this day and age any job is better than none.

You got that right! Theres nothing for jobs in town right now unless you want to flip burgers for minimum wage. He hates his job but I told him to just work long enough to put money away for a course then quit. I really want him to get a trade of some type. Hes getting 15 dollars an hour which isn't that great but he has free room and board and nowhere to spend money up there so he shouldn't have any problem saving. If I find out that hes blowing it on senseless crap then I will flip out. At least he isn't underground at this mine....its a silica sand mine. Can still be dangerous though, one of his friends had a close call not long ago. Hubby won't be home until around midnight and he has to go to work at 6:30 am so he'll be tired. I have to take my cat to the vets tomorrow for her shots and a nail clipping. (I don't know why I mentioned that...I'm rambling)

LOL, well sometimes rambling can be beneficial Carol. Maybe to reinforce in your mind the appointment! lol Glad you hear your son is above ground in this mine, but any job has it's dangers. I hope he stays safe and hubby can get enough sleep before work in the morning.

Nail clipping...ok I'll mention that so you don't feel as bad. I can't clip the ferret's toe nails by myself anymore. Before I had the cataract surgery I could see real close up without my glasses, but I have lost that. So I have to put on my reading glasses and hubby has to hold the ferret, and I have to move my head just so it's at the right distance to see clearly, then I clip. DID 60 nails yesterday WOO HOO

60 nails boy that's a lot of clipping and wiggling to I bet LOL... Grampa is taking Nachos and Cletus to the beauty parlor tomorrow... the gal is going to give them the works... she's very reasonable, so if they get through this without having heart attacks we might get it done once a month... right now they are soooo stinky and their nail are so long... I bet they'll feel great when it all over... What a lovely birthday tag Carol... gee I think that's the first time anybody has used one of my doily's, thanks ;D and thank you for the lovely birthday tag Hope hubby managed to get his Z's and wakes up refreshed... Ya know I don't think we ever stop worrying about our kids... Hope your son has a safe time at work...

You're welcome GB-hope the pups enjoy their beauty session! Wow huronna, that sure is a lot of clipping! I have to have my cat done at the vet because her 'thumb' nails curl and grow into her paws. She never complains about them but I'm sure they must be painful. Dh got back home okay, gave a ride back to one of the other guys that just got off shift and didn't have a ride home. Wow-this month is almost over already!!! Where did the time go??

Beautiful tag Carol. Thanks.
I could never manage to clip our dog's nails. Always had to have the vet do it.
Huronna, you and Walt are having the same issues right now. It's very frustrating. When he wants to do something very close up, he wears the reading glasses and uses his lighted magnifer.
