Hello everyone, Got a pre-owned computer with 100k warranty on it and have spent a week recovering most of my graphic programs and data from a melt down. Looks like I've lost the only copy of PSP I owned and since I work in an unstable industry I'll not be replacing it soon. So, is it ok if I simply just read the messages on this board - I doubt I'll have much to contribute, but you all do have lots of tips and such that might be helpful in other apps - like approaching a problem from a different angle - that sorta thing. Thanks, Ed iPod therefore iAm

I don't see why not Ed. Maybe you'll even have a comment or 2 here and there. Don't be a stranger.

Sure thing Ed, we have some non PSP's around. Let us hear from you now and again and join the conversations. You don't have to go because of that, maybe you will be able to get some sort of program going and can contribute in the future.

Thanks everyone. I've downloaded the GIMP that is going to be a journey of a million key clicks 'fore I can learn it. I've downloaded DAZ Studio (free), and most of the content has been recovered. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving - think I'll spend it doing a drawing. Already started it just before going to work. A horse, a rusty pickup truck, and a figure. Yea, gotta build a road and a country scene.

You don't have to be a PSP'er or have PSP to enjoy Animation Lessons! Who knows...maybe there's a few tags (that members are offering as a WWO) that catch your fancy. They are great as signatures for emails, forums, etc.....so, as long as you're enjoying yourself in here, more power to ya tol stay! (Do we get a sneak preview of your artwork?) Hint Hint hehehe

LOL. Thanks for the laugh lift GB. And thanks for the warm responses. My goal is to create a 3d ferret - there are all sorts of 3d animals, but no common pet ferret. I think I saw a commercial black footed ferret once, but whew! the price stunk to high heaven. I can draw. I'm rustier than the Titanic, but I can draw - so what's a WWO, and what's a tube? I do have some space over at the artzone - maybe this weekend I'll have time to put some of my 'artwork' on it. Ed

WWO is Who Wants One. Someone will make a tag and will offer to make one personalized for so many members. Usually it's an average of 10...or sometimes a time limit. A tube is an image on a transparent background. It can be a pspimage or a png. Makes it easier for us to manipiulate

Not sure how to point someone to my Art Zone gallery, so I'll just put it here. Its a work in progress and took me a few hours messing with how the path appears in the ground. Its not perfect, but the tutorial I was following was aimed at those who have Photoshop. I have the GIMP and while its a great app, Photoshop has some layer commands the GIMP is lacking. Which means the edges of the path are too sharp. Anyway, this is what I do with free apps. Bryce 5 is free and i s a landscape generator. Bryce 6.1 adds to those abilities, but is not free. GIMP is a 2d graphics program that is free. Has a steep learning curve. The horse was bought from www.daz3d.com The terrain and tree were made in Bryce. Ed iPod therefore iAm

Hey that's neat Ed... looks like we're looking at the horse on top of one of the hills along the California coast line and I can see the ocean in the background... but of course it could be anywhere... Nice work!
