My husband's second lens replacement is a terrific success. Some of you may remember he had a victrectomy and a lens replacement in his left eye. We went down to PHX for the second eye and just got back. Less stressful this time. I caught a irritating cold, and then he came down with it. Doc says no danger for the eye, tho.
This morning I caught him gazing out the windows at the mountain, just enthralled with his new perfect long distance vision. He's worn glasses since 4th grade and has no memory of being able to see without glasses.
Like Huronna, he'll only have to wear reading glasses for close work. I'm jealous.
We had a nice time...stayed at a resort type place with a Mayo discount, it was very reasonable. Ate at a great place in Scottsdale and were home last night for dinner here. Too tired for more that toasted cheese sandwiches but relieved to be home. We are getting well by the minute.

This is great news Flagryl. It is nice to be able to see in the distance without glasses. I really didn't wear them that long, but it is a nice change. I too still have to wear reading glasses.

Oh that's great Flagryl, I'm so glad it all went well, and you both are getting over your colds too... Just think how blessed you are to live in such a beautiful place and with the new improved eyesight he can drink it all in and appreciate it more than those that take their sight for granted...

I made this tag at Thanksgiving (after Walt's first cataract was removed)...it doesn't say it's a snag, but y'all are welcome to borrow it if you want.
