Ok today i spent hours on this following one of the tutorials. Then I read and re-read the posting rules but I am still unsure where to post it! it is saved as a PSPimage with my username in the File name, but what else do I need to do/add to it before I post it? Do I make a jpeg copy with say, Sample across it or what? I know I'm missing something important and want to get it right first time. The tube was made from a photo I took last year. I think I said somewhere else that i am a slow learner...

It all depends on with you have layers to the tube. We can't add tubes with layers directly to the board, so if it does have layers, you can email it to AnimationLessons2@gmail.com. I will pick it up there.
You can also make a .png of it. A png can have a transparent background without being optimized. Then it needs to go into Photobucket. I am presuming that you have a Photobucket account. Under the images in Photobucket are links. To post it, you just copy the bottom one. It's the IMG code. Then paste it directly into the reply box/message box.
We only post on this one board.
By the way......I have snow on the ground again, so I knew you were back...lol

Can't wait to see it, I get so excited when people decide they are going to tube their photos. I love to tube, and animate, and chat and play with my ferrets....but I digress

Moggie, you do not have to start back at the drawing board at all!!! You have done a magnificent job tubing this regal rooster, you just need to clean him up a bit. Huronna has written a tut on tubing that will help you to clean up the stray pixels on your tube. You've done the hard part!!! The rest is easy. Just scroll down to about the last five steps - to the part where it says "look at all the stray pixels" and go from there. It's a matter of several clicks and you're done! Fantastic job tubing, Moggie!!!! Here's the link to the tut.... huronna.proboards88.com/index.cgi?board=tuts&action=display&thread=97Oh yeah, and I just wanted to mention that after you are finished, you can add another layer, move it to the bottom on your layer pallette and flood fill it with a contrasting color to see any stray pixels. That way, you can tell if you need to do more clean up or if it cleaned up the way you want it. In this case, I would use a black background on it and then you could see any of the white stray pixels.

Indeed I will be offering it.. got to say thanks somehow for all that I have found here..
Umm, yes I did follow Huronnas instructions to get rid of the stray pixels but when I hit the delete button as stated ( 3times in fact) the whole thing vanished..Marquee around the chook AND the stray pixels...all that was left was the pale grey flood fill I used to show the stray pixels..guess I panicked and hit the undo button to get 'him' back...I have PSP9..would that have made a difference to Huronnas instructions? Will have another go using black as Ree suggests. Thank you all for the comments and constructive critique. I actually want to animate his head but that's another learning curve in between all my other commitments...one thing at a time for this old moggie!

Here's his handsome self, Maggie. Gosh I remember the first few times I tried to follow those directions. I could have sworn I did it perfectly, but no.

Yum! Tomato sauce!!! I adore tomatoes Moggie, the one step you missed is "invert". I've done it a million times - lol. The first few times I tried I was missing that step, too. After you select all, you invert. Then it makes the marching ants all around the whole image AND around Mr. Regal Rooster. He sure is a grand speciman. Thank you so much for tubing him and for offering him to us to use!

A quick look in here.. I have been called away out of town for 4 days and have had no time to fix the king of the henhouse! Bear with me until I'm back again, pretty please? I have my camera, hopefully to get some good shots of 2 Alsation pooches that reside where I'm staying. I'm not a dog person but this breed is very photogenic and therefore more tubes to do!
