just now. For the last couple of days I've seen his cheeks turning redder and redder. So today I called and got an appt. for him at 2 o'clock, didn't get in 'til 2:50, and dr. said "Wow, look at you" . His new pill for his bladder/ureter reflux had an adverse reaction. He now has a rash all over his body. It looks as if he got a sunburn on his face, or like he was slapping it repeatedly. It was one of the side effects but I didn't think that much about it 'til this morning. It's too bad 'cause it was helping with the reflux, but we don't want the rash with it. He has to stop taking it and take baths in Aveeno and put Aveeno lotion all over himself. Tonight he'll have a bath and then we'll do the rub down. He said it feels hot and hurts. Not itchy though, just tingly, hot and hurts. Do you suppose anything else could possibly happen to this little guy? Geesh, if it's not one thing then it's another, lol.

Oh bless him! Poor little chap x Such a shame he has to stop taking the meds when they are helping with his reflux. I hope the baths in Aveeno help, and you can get the reflux sorted out without further problems.. as you say, he has enough on his plate at the moment xx

Goah Barb if it isn't one thing it is 20 more. I am so sorry that he has to stop taking the med that was helping. Hopefully, they will find something else without side effects. That Aveeno is very good. It really helped me several years ago when I was covered with mosquito bites.

I'm sorry Byron has something else to deal with right now. He has more than enough on his plate. And so do you. Aveeno is great. We've use it many times.

I use Aveeno a lot for winter itch. My skin gets so dry and itchy I can't hardly stand it, and it helps soothe. It definitely is good stuff, although a little on the pricey side.
Prayers going out to Byron that they can find him another med that works without the side effects.

My skin is susceptible to wind burn, and Aveeno works awesome for that too. Basically Aveeno will work for upset skin of any kind. I hope everything is OK pronto.

Thanks all. His rash does appear to be a bit better today, still quite red though. I gave him a bath (he was playing in it for an hour!) last night and I rubbed Aveeno skin lotion all over him too. No Neo, she didn't say how long the meds will stay in his system. Hope not too long. She said that if the rash isn't gone by Fri. then to bring him back in, then they'd have to look elsewhere to see what's up.
