On Thursday, August 12, 1976, I said what a superstition Friday the 13th was. On Friday, August 13, I was tussling around with my sibs and bit the tip off my tongue.
Coincidence? Maybe. But the fates were mad that I had dissed their holiday so I got it extra good.
I am extra careful on Friday the 13th.
I don't have too much planned.
Call my mom. Bead, PSP, do dishes. Call the Evil Twin.
It's 30 degrees here headed for a high of 36. There is a mix of a smiling sun and frowny clouds on the weather map so I think it might precipitate on us. Tomorrow it's all frowny clouds with snow. I wonder if they could animate their snow?
I am going nowhere today. If I didn't risk suffocation, I would wrap myself all up in bubble wrap. And I am definitely not sticking my tongue out at anyone LOL.
Have a good day. Be safe, Love from your friend Grassy

Good Morning! Grassy, I hope you have better luck on this Friday the 13th. That sounds so painful! Do you have trouble sleeping Betsy? Glad to hear you had a good sleep.

I actually feel great too, but I am not going to jinx myself by saying it right out loud LOL.
Ni Betsy and Nancy.
Wanna know something crazy? Each year we get 2 Friday the 13th. This year, because February is shortened, we get them right in a row!

OOPS! 2 in a row. That should be fun.
I don't sleep as well as I probably should Nancy. But every once in a while I sleep straight thru the night. That'll keep me going for a few weeks. I get by with about 5 or 6 hours a night, but it's interupted with a trip or 2 to the potty. I'm used to it. Thanks for asking.

Hope everything goes okay for you today...remember it's only a date. Betsy glad you had a good sleep, I have that problem too and never sleep longer than 2-3 hours at a time. It's a good night if I get three....i can often get back to sleep after and hour or so ..for another couple.

One of my sisters has bad insomnia, and when she went to the doctor to fix it, he said she would likely never ever sleep 6 hours a night unless she was sick or exhausted, but he'd do his best to get her 4. She usually beads or reads or gets on her messageboards. She's very into birds, so she belongs to birdwatching forums. I am glad you can sleep 6 hours from time to time.

One thing I will not be doing is going to a movie theatre to see Friday the 13th. I already spent my time under a blanket with y fingers in my ears, so the kids could see it.....lol

LOL!
I don't watch horror movies in the theatres. Although I love them, I am a bit of a shrieker and management gets kinda grouchy when you are shrieking during their movies.

I have the day to myself today! ;D I don't think I'll go out for a walk until this afternoon. Its -26F with the wind this morning. The colder temps and new snow will make the winter festival people happy (starts next week) Guess I'll have a psp day with a bit of housework inbetween! Did anyone watch the new Survivor last night?

Housework? Eeeeeeeeeek!
I have never seen Survivor. Is it good? Survivor coincides with Scrubs, so I never get to see it. If I recorded an episode to see what it's like, does it matter if I am out of sequence?

Well, my birthday is on the 13th, not this month though. But when I was 13 it was on Friday the 13th....talk about an unlucky day. I still remember being a wallflower at the dance

Awwwwwww, and it was your golden birthday too. I bet you weren't a wallflower for long though huh?
My twin and I were born on the 2nd of the month. We have another brother who was born on the 3rd except 6 years earlier. My twin had a hard time figuring out why our big brother was older than us when he was born the day after we were. LOL.
