Thank you. You guys will just never believe how sweet and kind my Lamb is. Plus he's cuddly and he smells good and he feeds our birds and squirrels when I forget to.

I have been married for 11 years. I got the dress for 5 bucks at a vintage clothing store. The underskirt for the dress cost ten times more than the dress itself. I got married outside, and I was going to get married in my bare feet, but there was an ant problem, so we had to make a last minute trip to the nearest shoe place (KMart) for shoes. I did not want ants nibbling on my toes! Lamb first began proposing in 1994, but I kept putting him off and putting him off. Finally in 1996 he said he was at the stage in our relationship where we either get married or break up because he did not want to keep investing time in something that was going nowhere. So I asked for 30 days to think about it. At the end of the 30 days, I told him to give me a date and I would come in a dress, but I am not a details gal, so he needed to do his wedding his way. And he did. He and his mother and my bridesmaids did it all. Right down to little bottles of bubbles for the guests to blow so that rice wouldn't hurt the birds and squirrels since it was an outdoor wedding. Had I known how wonderful it is to be married to Lamb, I would have married him in 1994 instead of wasting 3 years.

Lammy is just so cute and sweet.
He and I once took that Myers-Briggs personality test. We are complete opposites in every way. I don't think we answered a single question the same way. LOL. They do say opposites attract . . . .
We're about as opposite as two people can get. The only things that we both like are cars and spaghetti. LOL. Oh, and action movies.
Somehow, it all works, though. We've only had a couple of really big arguments.

Grassy... Walt and I are total opposites. He's the grumpy to my goofy. We do share many likes/dislikes, too. But that's what make things so great. Next month we'll celebrate our 39th anniversary. I kid him all the time that we're in this for the good, the bad, and the ugly. He says 'whatever we're doing wrong, we'll just keep doing it'.

That's an awesome idea! Since it's not PSP related do we need to check with a manager before we put one up?

LOL Neo. I am seriously not a details gal still to this day. I can't plan doodly squat.
Betsy, I hope Lamb and I end up like you and Walt. Lamb says the reason we get along so good is because I just kinda go with the flow and let whatever happens happen. Now I'll tell like a billing company off in a heartbeat, but with Lamb I seem to have infinite patience and tolerance. I mean, I don't get all that freaked out about a carburetor on the dining room table. I never eat in there anywhere. I eat in the kitchen so who cares if it's there? LOL.

when I got married to my second husband, I didn't want a big wedding, just family in a friends living room. What to wear? What to wear? I had found a lovely dress for a New Years party, cream colored with some burgandy lace. It cost me $11 is a discount store. My friend who was to be my matron of honor said...why not wear that? And so I did. I wonder if I have any photos lying around I could scan. Hmm that might make for an interesting thread for Valentines day

Yay! I want to see everybody!
I love vintage clothing stores. It's harder to find good clothes in the stores because I am fat, but you can always find fat lady outfits at the vintage places.
In Minneapolis, back before it became popular, there was a vintage place called Ragstock. I could go in there and get bags and bags of clothes for like $45. Now that it's popular, you can get maybe two outfits for that.
I like the under-the-radar places.
I never told you about Lamb's bachelor party. I was so furious! OK, my Evil Twin had to sit an exam on Saturday, but he flew out in the afternoon. We weren't getting married until Monday. So I had it worked out that Evil Twin, Lamb's best man and some other guy friends would make Lamb a bachelor party. I said go ahead and go to the stripped clubs and just stay a few minutes and there's an extra $50 in it if you get Lamb to stay for more than an hour. Lamb is supremely creeped out by stripper clubs.
So I went to my bachelorette party. Wore a cute little veil. Did all the bachelorette things. Came home completely plastered of course, and everybody was still there watching Disney movies! I told my Evil Twin that I had given him a lot of money to show Lamb a good time and what did they do? Evil Twin says they went to the video store, rented movies, bought insane amounts of candy and came home and ordered pizza and settled in for an evening of movies. Lamb did get sick, though, but not from alcohol. He ate too many Good & Plenty and had a tummyache.
