Silk...the forum works best in FireFox browser...but, if not FireFox at least IE7. I believe a couple members had the same problem from using outdated browsers.
Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone. I use IE6 because when I tried changing to IE7 a couple of years ago everything went haywire and now I'm so nervous to change.

Silk I never updated from IE6, which I'm glad because my husband has it and grrrr.
I had used Foxfire a couple of years ago when I wasn't able to view the images on Caroline & Sensibility Site and she said Foxfire would work. Anyway she fixed her site and I went back to IE6.
When I joined WIGH, I had a horrible time. My computer is rather old also, Things would free or just disappear. So I downloaded Foxfire again and not only is it eay to navigate there, but every other site I belong to come in faster.
So I would suggest Foxfire, and of course you have the option to say no to any of their add-ons

Neo... when I first got my PC I got dial-up with MSN8 for a browser. Then I got 9 and then the premium with my Verizon DSL. It's old and outdated, but it's just about all I use. I rarely click on my IE. It's probably 5 years old. Here's a screenshot...

Other than a few different things, I never even noticed with I changed from IE6 to IE7, I recently downloaded Firefox. Some days it's good, some days not so good. I switch back and forth from IE7 and Firefox. Very moody browsers. LOL Some days I just sit here staring at the hourglass from Firefox and I'll reboot and come back with IE7 and everything is fine for a while then it starts doing funky things. Never a happy medium with mine. It seems that all of the forums just pucker one's mouth the energy out of my pc. LMBO!!!

I had all kinds of trouble when I joined. Then my computer person came to make sure my computer was all cleaned up. He added IE 7 and Firefox so I can use both and have no more problems. He also added more memory to my computer so I can still have more than one window open and not get all bogged down.

When IE was upgraded from 6 to 7 there were a ton of bugs in it and everyone had issues with it, so most people went back to IE6. The bugs are out...or at least as much as can be expected on the internet lol...but, IE7 still has security issues with it. IE6 it way outdated and won't be supported after a time..if it's even supported now.
Firefox loads pages differently and is a lot faster. It takes a bit to get used to because it's set up a little different with bookmarks and such...but, I wouldn't change back to IE for nothing. And, I know for a fact the forum loads better in FF.
I hope you can get it taken care of so you can join in the fun.

Hi Silk. IE6 is years out of date and as such either needs upgrading to IE7 or if you'd prefer, get Firefox instead and use that. In any case FF is a lot more secure as well as being substantially faster.

I have been using IE7 every since it came out and update it regularily as CF advises and hardly every have any problems with it. My main problem in with forgetting to clean out my cookies and such and my computer gets bogged down. As soon as I clean that out I am ready to go again. I have used FireFox a few times and wasn't happy with it so I stuck with IE7. I have it on both my desktop computer and my laptop.

Hi Suzie. A really good little programme for clearing out rubbish from your system is the CCleaner programme. These are instructions for it's use. Make sure all browsers are closed. Check everything under the " Internet Explorer" section. Check everything under the " Windows Explorer" section. Check everything under the " System" section. Check ONLY " Old Prefetch data" under the " Advanced" section. Then, click the " Applications" tab. CHECK everything there. Next, click the " Options" button in the left pane, then click the " Advanced" button: UNCHECK : " Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours". Next, click the " Cleaner" button in the left pane, then click the " Run Cleaner" button (bottom right), click " OK" at the prompt. When done, please exit CCleaner. CAUTION: Please do NOT use the " Issues" button in the left pane. This is a built-in registry cleaner. If you don't know how to use it, you may cause irreparable damage to your system. I hope that helps.

Woohoo, I can post at WIGH. I always delete my cookies every few days but because this week I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and have to also have a body bone scan to check for other problems and needles in my joints I am just not with it and completley forgot. To say I am ' noivous ' is an understatement LOL.
Anyway I deleted the files and all is well. Thanks again everyone for your advice.

I noticed you have the Seekmo toolbar installed. Are you aware that it is spyware? May I suggest you follow the instructions HERE and post the requested log files. The reason is your system could very well be infected with other nasties as well.

Yes, stuff like that has a nasty habit of coming back if it isn't removed properly. If you follow my instructions, there's a very good chance it will be gone, along with other malware that may be lurking on your system. Then, when you post the log files, I will give you any further instructions that may be necessary.
Once your system is clean, you may be surprised at how much quicker it runs.
