If anyone remembers, last month I admitted that I had never tried the animation lessons here at AL2. I did do the vector roller skater 3 times but I've always been known to start with the hard part first. Self torture, I guess. LMBO Well, I thought I knew it all! I sat down one day and decided to start from the beginning and see if there was something that I never learned in 7 years. Well, did I get a surpirise. Anyways, to cut to the chase.....I always animated my butterfly wings (not that I did that many of them) by selecting the wings then using the deform tool to squeeeeeeeeeze them a little, paste it at AS, squeeeeeeze it some more, paste it at AS, etc. I could never figure out why my butterflies were always doing the hoochie-coochie (we use to call this a dance-not a bad word, LOL)instead of their wings opening and closing smoothly. LOL Well, when I got to these lessons, was I in for a surprise. These lessons taught me a really slick way to animate the butterfly wings, and, have them move smoothly. huronna.proboards88.com/index.cgi?board=starthere&action=display&thread=61 and huronna.proboards88.com/index.cgi?board=starthere&action=display&thread=60Now for the sake of letting AL2 explain about saving them and optimization, I just put both on a background just for myself. Here's the hoochie-coochie one......see how the wings snap..... Viola! Smooth as silk.....thanks to AL2. LOL Check them out under Introduction to Lessons.

Great job!
Even tho I've done the beginner's lessons over at WIGH, I've done several things that I had not done before. There's always something new or different out there.
