You might have seen the picture on your news.
A fireman giving a koala a drink from a water bottle. The dear little thing was dehydrated terribly and allowed the fireman to hold the bottle to it;s mouth...in fact it drank three bottles. usually koalas get their moisture from the eucalypt leaves.
This was such a moving picture.

Yes, I saw that article with the picture in our morning paper. Bob and I were talking about it at dinner and how wonderful of the fireman to share his water. All the fires over there are terrible and the pictures so sad.
I pray that there will be no more deaths or injurise.

I haven't seen this picture, but can imagine how sweet it is to see the Koala getting a nice drink.

I have not seen this either, but will search it out. I would love to see that. Such kind people in this world. My prayers keep coming for those in the path of the fires, and those who have lost homes and lives.

It breaks my heart all those people loosing their lives
and the poor innocent animals caught in the fires...

the devastation from the fires is so horrendous, and the death toll isn't anywhere near complete yet. i have some friends in melb who are keeping people updated over at CF.

Saw this sweet little koala on the news here in the uk . We dont realise what effect such devastaion it has on wild life as well as all those beautiful trees . I do so hope that all this comes to an end soon . xxxxxx

The photo was in our paper here...poor little thing! I don't want to think of all the animals that perished ...bad enough all the human deaths.

I saw a video of it on TV this morning, and a brief interview they had with the fireman. Hoping they can get the fire under contoll soon.
