if you want them. Byron and I went for a walk down the old train tracks (which isn't there now, just a trail), beside my dad's house last weekend. The first photo is of some old car speakers that were hidden under a bush and there was some greenery growing up through the one. I thought it was neat: The next one is a huge feather we found on the trail. I think it's a Turkey Vulture's feather. BIG ! : The next is the field beside my dad's house. In the field throughout the years there have been (at different times) dairy cattle, black Angus cattle, lamas and sheep. It was a busy field in it's 'hey day' but now it sits, all empty, forlorne looking. Just down further is the pond we used to skate on, but now it's all so overgrown we couldn't get to it without fear of stepping in the marsh that surrounds it: Next is a gravel path/road that used to lead to the old paper shack that my dad and a couple of co-workers used to have where they bailed paper. It now is just a 'graveyard' for the train track tiles that were pulled up when the CNR decided to get rid of it. There are tons of them and they are blackened with oil and stuff from the trains and all the years of them just sitting there. They are ugly looking and it doesn't look like the CNR are going to do anything except let them rot there. They aren't good for building stuff or anything. You can see them in behind the picture of this 'weed' or whatever it is. I just thought it was cool looking weed.

I snagged the field and weeds. I think they are thistle, but not sure. We had a lot of them in the fields growing up as kids. Thanks for the pics.

You're welcome. I'm not sure what they are. They were very tall and thick. They are neat though.
