First days in Rio at the Sheraton Grand Hotel

Located near the beaches of Rio de Janeiro Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel and Resort offers one of the only beachfront resorts with an extensive recreational area, hotel spa and other amenities.
But things don’t always go smoothly. Our room was not to be ready for another hour and when we were given our key, the ticket said it was for room 1810. We went to the elevator and there was an electric glitch and the elevator got stuck. Luckily it was only for 5 minutes. We we unable to get the elevator to go to the 28 floor, and luckily someone else was going there so we got off at the same time. We got to the room number and the key did not work, and here comews the bell hop with out luggage. So I left Joe there and went back down to the desk. It turned out that our room was actually 1910 and the elevator would only go to the 19th floor with out key. But the time I got to the room, Joe was not there, No note. and I knocked on the door and it was someone else, obviously as it ws room 1810. Lordie me, this was not the way to start ar an elite hotel. Finally got to room 1910 and Joe and the luggage was there. Finally could relax a bit. After relaxing a bit we went to the bar at the lounge and had a nice drink then went to the italian restaurant for dinner. Dinner was great but when we got back to the room, Joe lost his balance and wound up on the floor. Thankfully he bounced and nothing broken, only a fedw rug burns which bandaids took care of. Thus the saga of the hotel.
Now I have so views from the hotel.
Looking fron the entrance Morro Dois Irmãos (which translates to the ‘two brothers’ in English) are two peaks in between São Conrado and Leblon. The mountain is so named because it has two peaks, and from a distance, they appear to be standing side by side like two brothers. When it is misty, one of the hills will totally disappear as they were this morning.
Half way up the on his is this interesting building.
Featuring a patio with garden views, a garden and a terrace, Canta Galo - Onde o Galo Canta de so linda a vista is located in Ilhabela, close to Praia do Saco da Capela and 600 meters from Praia de Santa Tereza. This chalet offers free private parking, a 24-hour reception and free WiFi. The chalet features 1 separate bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living room and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and oven. Towels and bed linen are provided. Popular points of interest near the chalet include Praia da Vila, Ilhabela Cultural Center and Marakuthai Ilhabela. The nearest airport is São José dos Campos Airport, 80 km from Canta Galo - Onde o Galo Canta, the view is so beautiful.

A great place to have lunch or casual dinner. I doesn’r look like much , just an outdoor place but the food was great and service fantstic
And this is our land home until tomorrow when we go the the ship.
