This is me kickin' it old skool in my favorite hockey jersey. Eastside baby! I am very vain about my hair And my fingernails. These are fakies, but I stopped using fakies and now have real ones. I got to where I couldn't sit still enough to get a manicure so I do it myself anymore.

Woo hoo, there is our Grassy. Thank you, I love to put a face with a name.
Very nice pictures and love the nails, My health problems cause ridges in my nails so can't even wear nail polish anymore.

Grassy, you look like you might have or are a candidate for arthritis. My hands looked like that when I was 13 or 14 and when mom and dad took me to the doctors he ran tests and said I would probably have Rhumatoid Arthritis one day. Yep, at the ripe old age of 37....pow....hit me right in the forehead! :-(
Your ring is beautiful. Is it your wedding band?

Just as lovely as ever...love your hair AND those nails. Aren't you just the raving beauty! Jayne Mansfield eat your heart out!!! Green with envy as well...gorgeous ring! I have a ruby with a wide band, somewhat similar to yours.

Oh, thanks yall *blush blush*
Flopsie, would ridge filler help you so you could wear polish?
Anita, what is it about my hand that indicates a potential for arthritis? I am really curious. I had never thought about it. Look how crooked my fingers are. I have sprained, jammed and broken my fingers so much over the years!
Flagryl, when I was in high school - after the punk rock phase - I wore my hair like Jean Harlow. I loved it. If I could dress like the 40s every day I so totally would! My fondest wish is to be able to wear red lipstick and not look like I got hit in the mouth. I simply can't wear red.
The ring is my wedding band. Lamb spent all his money on my engagement ring, which I now wear on my right hand. I told my dearest Lammy that I did not need a wedding ring - we could just use them engagement ring - but his mom gave Lamb this ring to give to me. I thought it would offend my feminist principles to do it that way, but when he slipped that on my finger I thought principles be darned, this is pretty!

I think this is the first photo where we really see who you are. You posted one once of your wedding, but we couldn't really see you. WOW you look so tall. How tall are you? Your hair is beautiful!
And speaking of nails, that is my vanity point also. And my rings. I think there is a tube of them in the safe tubes LOL. I was going to do my nails this morning. I had brought my favorite color with me, Merle Norman Heavenly pink. I'd already put my two base coast on and when I went to open the polish....eeekkk gads something happened to it on the flights. It was nothing but mush. I mean big globs, into the trash it went. I hate having bare nails because I bite them until I was 20 and so they turn white way far down and are ugly without polish but lovely with it. We are going to the store this afternoon so maybe I can find a nice color to put on. I sure hope so. I do my own nails also, as I went once to a manicurist and she really messed them up

Oh my goodness Huronna! We have so much in common! I munched on my nails until I was in my 20s too! Then I was an RA in the dorm and my girls gave me a spa day for a present. You are not apt to chew on a $60 set of acrylics, so my natural nails grew out underneath and I wore silk wraps for a lot of years, but then went back to gel nails. Then a couple of years ago, when I began to have probbies sitting still, Lamb thought a good hardener might be enough to get them grown out. He was right.
I have small hands so when there's no color, my nails and hands look stubby.
A color that might be a suitable temporary replacement for the Merle Norman color is L'oréal's Pink Purr. OPIs Dusk over Cairo might be a good one too. It sounds like the polish got hot.
Do you know that there is no Merle Norman here? It's killin' me too because I used to wear a wine colored mascara of theirs and I can't find it anymore. I loved the Merle Norman stores when I lived in the south.
I am 5 ft. 8 in. tall.
Lamb teases me because I used to favor the hiphop style of dressing. He told me he was going to get me a chain link fence to wear as a necklace. I am out of the hiphop phase and into a more, for lack of a better word, resortwear style. I like capri pants and t shirts and cute shoes.

The lipstick in this picture is the best ever - it looks good on every skin color - it is Revlon's Blushed. I am a major makeup maven. Love love love it.
You know how some people have only certain lines of cosmetics that they will wear? I am not one of those people. I am an equal opportunity makeup lovah! I love all makeup all the time.
Well, except maybe foundation, but that is because I can never get it on right without leaving a line down my jaw.

Grassy, the fact that your fingers are so crooked is why I said that. That is what my fingers looked like for many years even before the arthritis hit. Just keep an eye on them and if they continue to get worse, or painful you might think about talking to your family doctor about it. As long as they don't hurt or are stiff I wouldn't worry too much, but you know how parents were/are. But I am glad they took me to see because then I was prepared for the outcome.....sorta kinda!

So far so good, but I will keep an eye on it. Cause I am sure injuring them all those times can't be good. It's good to know.

Your hair is lovely Grassy. and you are very pretty too. Love your emerald ring. I wear an emerald/diamond one ...I also wear a dark blue/ grey lovely pearl ring with diamonds. I love my little topaz and diamond pinky ring too. These are my favourites. I don't wear a lot of jewellery except a Victorian gold Albert chain , and fresh water pearls sometimes. I wear earrings. pearl. gold ,and peridot with wee diamonds. I don't paint my nails these days although my nails are a good shape.
It's interesting to learn the likes and dislikes of our members here...it makes us more real . I would love more of us join this thread and I hope they do.

No matter how much weight I lose I will always have a round face. I inherited it from my dad. I once told my mom that I didn't like my moon face, and she said But it's your daddy's face! I hurt her feelings by saying that, so I learned to love my face because it is my dad's. My space in my front teeth is his too - I am the only kid who got it.
I love pictures!
What do all of yall look like?

Well, I'm 5'51/2", fat, silver and so so looking. I can't be the pretty one cuz that is GB. hehehe Here I was in 1966. I was in the Air Force. And this is me now.... I have my daddy's face too. He had those heavy droopy upper eyelids. Sometimes I wish I didn't have them, but then I think it is good I do because I have something special from him.

Awwwwwwwwww, thank you Grassy. Isn't it funny how you get a mental picture of someone in your mind? I do that a lot. I pictured GB and Huronna just almost as they are now. I wasn't the least bit disappointed when I saw them. :-)
Now I wish Neo would let us meet her face to face because I have a really cool mental picture of her!!
