Isn't that fabulous! I have something called Keritosis Pilaris, assuming I read the doctor's handwriting correctly. It basically means that my skin is so dry that it won't exfoliate and all the dry dead skin is stuck in the pores so that the oils in the pores can't get out. I got this wildly expensive cream for it and a loofah and we'll see how it goes. I am supposed to go back in a month. He told me I might not look dazzling for Florida, but it would get better. And not so many hot tubbies anymore. That is somewhat of a drag because I used to love to lie in my tubbie and meditate on people and send them positive energy. I guess I will have to find a different way to meditate.
We ate at Ruby Tuesday instead of the Yellow Submarine, and it was wonderful. They have this blackberry lemonade there that is so yummy! I feel like a princess whenever I drink it.
And I got the cutest sunglasses at Walgreen's. I am totally all ready for my trip.
I am broke after that doctor's visit, but totally ready LOL!
Has anybody flown in the past little while? How do I handle my liquids? What is a liquid? Is lipstick one? Tell all!
I had such a good day!
Lamb and I ate Chinese - I had shrimp with lobster sauce - for dinner. He is filling our pool. I think he's insane. I am scared someone might try to go swimming when I am not here. Can they jump the fence? Would we be liable? All that stuff rolls through my head.

Grassy, that is great news. I am happy to hear that.
If you are flying go online to your carriers site and read the rules for what to carry and how. They will explain everything. From liquids to meds to clothes and how much you can take. And remember, if your luggage weights over a certain amount, they WILL charge you more money to fly!!!!!
You can print out the instructions and things they have on there. I have a list tucked away for the airline I always fly on.
And NO, lipstick is NOT a liquid. lol Shampoo, conditioner, etc.

That is good news Grassy. I am sure that you are relieved. I don't fly, so I am sorry to say that I could not give you any advise on that.

Just put all your shampoos and creams and other liquids in you check-in luggage. It's the carry-on that they are particular with.

Oooooooooooh that is so good to know! Thank you thank you thank you! So I can take my outrageously expensive prescription creams and lotions provided I check them.

YAYYYYYYYYYY! Hot diggity! You gals just made my night! I was all scared thinking I was going to have to buy all new makup and lipgloss and deodorant and stuff. I am not going to bring any perfume. Not only am I afraid of it breaking in my suitcase, but my nieces have load of perfume that are willing to share with me. I can just use a squirt of theirs.

My son-in-law is a pilot and the zipper had broken on his flight bag and he tied it shut til he could get to his apartment where he's based and he switched to an old flight bag that he had and forgot to remove the liquids from the side pocket and when he got back to the airport to fly on to his next destination they found it. You'd be surprised how many people try to get away with it. Not even the pilots can, but his was accidental.

grassy, make sure you put your stuff into ziplock bags or something, I had shampoo all over once. and if lamb smokes he has to have matches or bic lighter, which makes no sense to me , They charge my mom 25 dollors for her luggage, she flew from Michigan to here, Are you flying into Tampa or Orlando? Glad everything is O.K with your skin, I have really dry skin , the cream should help, my husband as some for the doctors and it does wonders.

Susy that is good to know - it's good that they check everyone. I don't mind the rules. I just need to make sure I do everything right so that I don't get into trouble.
Joy, I am flying into Atlanta first, then to Orlando Sanford.
LOL, when you get out at the Atlanta airport, you can take the MARTA train anywhere you want in the Atlanta Metro Area. MARTA actually stands for Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. Lamb says in my case it stands for Moving Airheads Rapidly Through Atlanta. I have trouble remembering which stop is mine and I usually get totally lost Hee hee.
This information from all of you is a godsend! I am so pumped! All I am going to have in my checked baggage is my clothes, shoes and makeup (and liquids) since I will have my MP3 player, jewelry, prescriptions and trashy novels in my carryin. So Lamb can just stick his liquids in my checked bacg and we're good to go.
Oh you guys should see Lamb today! He's so adorable.

Grassy, You should still check with the airline you're flying on. The last time I flew, you had to have the liquids you checked in certain size containers and in a ziploc bag. They tell you what size the plastic bag needs to be, too.
So glad you don't have skin cancer. That could be scary.

Thanks Nancy and Carol!
All this information is so helpful. I am going to print out what our airline says - we are flying a small one called DirectAir. I bought Ziploc bags yesterday. It seems kinda small. But I will make it work.
Now what I don't understand is do we have to have the bag out and once we get through checkin we put it in the checked bag and off we go, or do we carry the liquids in the bag with us for our carryon? Is that why they insist that we check in 2 hours before we leave?
Carol, I haven't been in the sun in years, but when I was young and foolish, I was a sub baby all the time. I am very fair skinned and I got numerous bad sunburns. They say even one moderate sunburn can set you up for skin cancer later. I just don't want it to happen to me.
