HAHAHA we have the same battle.........I pay the HOA landscaping service to NOT touch my yard......We do all our own yardwork and the critters, like moles and armadillo"s drive us nuts. My Cat chases them out of the yard. But that is a super tag hugs Rita

I've been battling those little yellow heads for years and years. I started as a purist and dug thm out. "Hahahahahaha," they said and came right back. Then I tried organic. I could hear them snickering at me. Then I used a generic weed killer. Still they kept coming. Now I am targeting the little yellow heads particularly. I never win, but I live in hope. I'm really outnumbered.
Maybe I should pay to do the neighbor's yard, too.....lol

Oh no, look out little dandelions!!! I love them. They are soooooooo pretty and Byron is always bringing them in to me to put in vases. They do brighten up the lawn, 'til they turn fluffy and leave their stems behind.

That is wonderful Neo. Hubby spreads thick newspaper over the garden and round 6 inches of mulch...but next year he starts all over again as those seeds the birds drop or are blown in by the wind come up saying...nananana!!!

Super work, Neo! I hope thats organic spray! I expect the nasty stuff to be banned here soon. Strong link between pesticides, chemical weed killers and breast cancer. We usually use a 'claw' to dig them out. But half the neighbours don't do anything about theirs so its kind of a losing battle. Still not warm enough to have any yet.

I adore dandelions. I love how their pretty yellow heads look in the green grass. Lammy hates them and will go out of his way to destroy them. I also like the snails in our garden, but how come they don't have cute shells like in the cartoons? If a snail loses his shell, is he homeless or is he naked? We have moles in our yard too. I have never seen a mole before. Are they cute? I don't want Lamb waging war on something cute.

Boy, ain't that the truth!!! Speaking of moles... that brings a story to mind of when my sister and I were working at the same dog and cat boarding facility. We worked in the grooming salon. The facility owner was over in the kennel cleaning the runs and ran across a mole in one of the kennels. He got a shovel and needless to say, that was the end of the little mole. My sister went over to the kennel to get a dog that needed to be groomed before going home and saw the little critter lying in the run. She came back over to the grooming salon and proceed to cut a length of ribbon and went to the cattery and got a cat blanket and walked back to the kennel. She tied a pretty little bow on top of the mole's head and covered it's little body with a blanky to make it look like it was taking a nap. She has a sense of humor bar none and felt sorry for the little creature and thought she would making it's passing a little more presentable! R.I.P little mole!

Personally, I have never found moles to be cute, Grassy. I do believe what you have in your yard are slugs, not homeless snails. They eat plants and leave a slimy trail on them.
