OK, I am really sad. No, nobody hurt my feelings or anything, so there is no need for the Pink Posse. I feel less than lovely today. Waaaaaaaaa. I have a dermatology consult tomorrow because I have this bizarre rash on my arms and shoulders. So I feel like a dog because of that. I went to the salon today, and my hairdresser tells me I have psoriasis on my head. Ooooh pretty. NOT! I also thought a beaded pantsuit might be too much for my niece's graduation, so I tried on a dress that was adorable - hot coral, my favorite, and watermelong - my favorite too - and black and tan and white. The neckline was one of those folded-over ones. OMG! My caboose looked fabulous in the dress, but my boobs were too full on the bottom and not full enough on top as the dress gapped. Oh it was heartbreaking to have to put the pretty dress back. Now I just want to pout and sulk. If I liked chocolate well enough to eat it a lot, I would totally chow down on some right now. I am sad yall. I feel like a dog. It totally does go to hay-ell when you turn 40. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Gee, hun, I am so sorry you are feeling bad. Cheer up tomorrow is a new day and things will look great.
HA HA, if you are worried about 40, wait till the day you look up and you are 60!
Yep, makes you want to sing, Yesterday, when I was young............
How bout a nice push up bra , will that help with the dress? Might be worth a shot. Makes the bottom float up to the top. When you are like me and everything fell down to my drawers, you start lokking for little helpers.
Anyway.........there, there, *pats Grassy on the back, it will all turn out OK. If you can not make that dress work, you will find another totally gorgeuos one that will work even better.

Flopsie you are a hoot! I hate clothes shopping. I remember back in the day when I dressed like a hoochie and had a body to match. I sometimes miss those days. Although if I had it all to do over I likely wouldn't dress so trashy and worry my mother so much like I did.

Flopsie is right....what are you going to do when you hit 60 or 64 is right around the month....woe is me! Can't help you with those push-up things as I haven't even owned one since 1985 HA HA Sometimes small is better ha ha
Careful of this thread so that it doesn't get out of hand....or out of something else

That's the amazing thing - I am a 40DD. So to not have the top part of the neckline look right is absolutely incomprehensible to me. I will be good. I just feel awful that I am disproportionate and have skin issues, which I never had until that housekeeping job. Which does make me wonder if you can do permanent damage cleaning house. In which case, we must all cease and desist immediately to avoid lingering injury.

Running to throw all my housecleaning tools and cleansers away. Permanent injury from cleaning house, woo hoo, I have waited 42 years to tell DH you have to clean house, I can not.....yipeeee!

Oh Grassy, you know I just turned 63 in March, and I am not laughing by any means, BUT.....just wait. Like Flopsie and Huronna have said....just wait!!
You will find something totally gorgeous to wear and I am sure you will get the rash cleared up just fine.
Now consider this.......I have ALWAYS had baby soft skin, free of blemishes.....I now have gotten soriosis on the inside of my ears, and between the eyebrows and on the back of my hand. I also have gotten Rosacia (sp) which is now in eruption. It looks horrible to me but ya know what? None of my close friends even notice it has popped out. It comes and goes but this time it has been out for almost a month now. I go to the doctor Friday to get some meds for it. I think they are giving me Orencia.
Things could always be worse, and many people live with many ailments all their life. My mom had soriosis from the age of 12 and it was so bad she wore long sleeve blouses and dresses and or long pants even in the dead of summer.
Cheer up honey, you are just fine and you will look beautiful!!!

Exactly, cleaning house can damage your skin. It must be avoided at all costs. You just made me feel better. I am sure this dermatologist will know just what to do tomorrow too, so it will be OK, and I will find another dress.

I'm tellin' ya! But in defense of where I worked, I worked at a very upscale, chichi senior living community, and I was paid insane money to clean, so it wasn't all bad.
Anita, you are beautiful no matter what.
You hear about people and these duck to swan transformations. Not me. I started out a duck and I stayed a duck. Not that it's bad. But it makes it really hard to find a dress. That's why I love separates. There used to be this store in Georgia called Units. You could go in and get pants and skirts, but no dresses. I may still stick with a pantsuit, but I worry that it will be too hot to wear pants in Florida and will I be more comfy in a dress?

I might choose a different pantsuit. I have lots from when I was a bank teller, so they would be suitable without being too dressy uppy.

Yep! What everybody has already said! I second that!!! Just relax and be yourself Grassy and you'll be fine no matter what you wear. How about a burlap bag or a barrel with suspenders??? LOL Seriously, wear whatever makes you feel best.
As for household cleaning chores... I say they should be banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you can find something that is cool for the outdoors, but yet you can use a wrap for when you are inside as the airconditioning is usuing pretty strong inside down here and the difference between the outside heat and the humidity can be shocking

Grassy...skin problems do upset us ladies as does bad hair day. Think of all those women having boob jobs to look just like you. As far as clothes go...I go for elegant every time and you can usually never be out of fashion that way. Someone suggested a shirt and jacket , or a dress and matching jacket is always great. There is always something out there to gladden your heart.
40 is a wonderful age...in fact any age we're still breathing is great LOL.

Awwwwwwwww yall are so nice to me! I love each and every one of you! Sometimes I get all upset, but it is usually short lived thank goodness. I have a couple of short sleeved pantsuits, so I am going to try those and see if they will work for me. I will look for some cute shoes too because cute shoes can spruce up an old outfit. I have never been to Florida when it's hot out, so all that information is good to know. Are there lots of bugs in Florida this time of year or will I be OK? I feel a lot better. Like I said, when I get into these pouty upset moods, it doesn't last long.

Grassy. Take from this old lady. When I turned 60 I cried and now I am older and cry every birthday. I wish I had a nice caboose but It is to big along with most everything about me, I just wear comfortable and cool now. I found that the more upset I got the less it helped so now either take me like I am or leave. LOL Hubby has not left yet. I have had a skin condition for years and the doctors say there is no cure. You will look great in a nice pant suit. I think that those are so nice. Florida is hot in the summer and I found down by the ocean front is the coolest. Also less bugs there. Oh yes I love shoes too. I do not wear them much but love them. Does that make sense?

It makes perfect sense Whispy. At home I go barefooted summer and winter. But I love shoes. I think I will be OK. I just got upset because I wanted that dress so much. I am not a dress person, so I was amazed that I even tried on the dress, but you know how you get when you want something baaaaaaaaaaaad. Tomorrow I see a dermatologist and maybe he can say what is wrong with my arms and shoulders.

Bugs....Actually where I live, the only ones that might get me are fire ants if I'm working in the garden and don't see them. The trucks come around pretty frequently and spray. I don't think I've had a mosquite bite in 8 years. But sometime bugs like 'fresh meat"...so you never know..."skin so soft" is a really good bug repellend and smells nice too

Oh I loooooooove Avon! We use that for our bug stuff up here and it is wonderful! Fire ants? Yikes, guess I will watch my step. I know we had scorpions in Georgia, but getting stung by them was not life threatening. There's aren't black widows and tarantulas are there? Eek!
