I do not have a recurrence of Breast Cancer! Hot diggity! I have been referred back to my PCP for further testing. Could be mono, could be lymphoma, could just be lymphedema or a radiation nerve flashback. But the most scary thing is off my plate. In the waiting room, there were these little Origami cranes all in bright colors and they were all decorated beautifully. There is a project called Cranes of Hope that leaves these little cranes in waiting rooms in hospitals. The cranes were all so beautiful. And they did help. On the way home, Sid and I stopped at the grocery store for sparkling water. He treated me to old fashioned hot dogs! Yum Yum! There is a butcher shop called Steve's that sells to the stores around here. Happiness on a bun! I am planning my "daycations," and in addition to the birds, I have come up with another one. Uncle Buck's Fish Bowl & Grill in Altoona, IA. I am so excited about this! You can fish, bowl AND eat junky bar food! I also came up with White Castle and the Sonic Drive In. So for now, I will bask knowing I don't have breast cancer. Isn't it cool?

That is fantastic news, but sure hope it isn't lymphoma or lymphedema . Dont know what radiation nerve flashback is , but sounds the lesser or all evils. Go out and have fun...that's the important thing.

Great news Grassy. But I also hope it isn't the 2 "L"'s. Keep us posted. You only live once and that life is so short so live now while you can. You are always so upbeat and fun. You make us smile!!

Thanks so much everyone! I am beyond delighted! Huronna, a radiation flashback is when your nerves in the area that got radiation think they are getting radiation again, but they are not really. They prepare to defend themselves, but there really is no threat. I didn't tolerate radiation well, I think because of my creamy magical albino goodness. But I chose life so I am not sorry about that. I do wish I had gotten that mastectomy, though.
Anita, I have been bothered by lymphedema before. I generally handle that by physical therapy and lymphedema massage and by wearing sleeves and compression bras. It tends to go away in a few weeks. But each time anybody feels fluid, we have to go through the whole procedure to make sure I don't have cellulitis or vasculitis or cooties or something. It's just kind of a drag to go through it all. And it's my allergy season so it all could be allergies. I absolutely don't want it to be Lymphoma. That would be bad bad, and it would mess up my day.
Roni, I hope when they do your cat scan, they give you your cat. I never get a cat. I think that is false advertising. I have a PET scan coming up when insurance pre-certifies it. I want a pet so much! Ha ha. I am kidding of course. I have everything crossed for you, and I am praying so hard! I love you!

That's great news Grassy. I'm happy for you. I also live in Iowa, in Ottumwa which is southwestern part. About 30 miles from the Missouri border here.
