Sid made me a studio table and he is varnishing it, so he can't use his workshop until the varnish dries. He wants to re-arrange my computer desk to make it more ergonomic for me. That will need to have me offline, but since he is offering to re-arrange and clean my nightmare desk, who am I to say no? Hee Hee. Also, just an FYI: My doctor found a lump in my breast and she felt fluid so I am back in the diagnostic pool. Which is a bummer indeed. I am feverish and feel kind of tired and yucky, so I am hoping it is merely an infection. I am hoping that's what it is.

Well 15 hours have passed but you probably are sleeping. Hope it's just some fluid I have some strange thing on the tissue above my breast. Appeared the first day I was in Vietnam. Don't remember being bitten by anything and thought it was just a bruise of burn of some sort. Now I think it might be ring worm, anyway have an appt on Monday at dermatologist. It's kind of strange with little bumps like blisters around the edges and now flakey in the middle. Lets keep those boobs in good shape HA HA

I will be praying for both of you and yes Huronna, it does sound like a ringworm... I had them when I was 16, and they were everywhere on my body... Big Hugz to you both...

Well, I hope both of you get checked out and have good reports to bring back. I've had ringworm before too. Every once in a while it will pop up, but I always know when it is coming because that spot gets itchy so out comes my ointment and then it doesn't get bad.
Grassy, I am praying this latest issue is just a small pocket of fluid that can be taken care of easily. You don't need any more bad news.

Thanks everyone! I am hoping this is lymphedema, which I got from radiation the first time I had breast cancer. If this turns out to be anything not good, I think I would just say since the breast tried to kill me twice, she's got to go. The odds of it being cancer are slim, but I did have metastases in the sentinel nodes so if even one cell got out it could stir up trouble. I have moved from Mayo to the University of Minnesota. I find their approach to be more in line with my way of thinking. Not that Mayo is bad or anything. I like the way the U of M handles patients who are not in that 60% pool. And even better, I will have my mammogram, ultrasound, PET scan and needle guided biopsy (if needed) all on Wednesday and I will know on Wednesday what's what. It's also the 27th anniversary of my beloved daddy's death so I know he will be sending me good joujou from Heaven. If they decide to take the breast, since I am left-hand dominant and this is my breast, I am unsure what will happen. Thank goodness those nuns made me switch to my right hand so I can still write and use my mouse huh?
Huronna, I would think that as hot and humid as it is in Vietnam, there would be all sorts of insects and infections. Sounds like ringworm to me, but I am uneducated about that. I know when I was little, I used to play at a construction site with some boys and one of them was a pastor's son. Ha ha. I made him eat dirt because he wouldn't swear, then I felt bad, so I ate some too. We discovered that we both enjoyed dirt and we'd meet after school to eat dirt. Ah, romance. That lasted until we got impatigo (sp) and our mothers were furious and we missed the last week of second grade. I am glad that you are getting it checked. Is it itchy? Is it weepy or dry? What color is it? OK, that exhausts my medical expertise. Have some nice wine and watch something good on TV.
My hard drive project is going swimmingly. Shhhhh, don't say that out loud. I am amazed and how easy it is. I am spoiled with all the stuff I have.

I always said if I ever get even 1 tiny lump of breast cancer they are both coming off and my doctor agrees. Women have that option now days. I don't need trouble in front of me.
I hope it is nothing, but please let us know

I sure will. The first time, my odds of having a recurrence were so low, I was encouraged to not have the mastectomy. But I also had really bad insurance. Now that I have better insurance, if there is even a hint of trouble, I am saying sayonara to Lefty. I have learned to become ruthless with stuff like that nowadays. And you are right - things are different. It is also National Albinism Awareness Month. I am celebrating. I told Sid he could celebrate by bringing me an albino boxer dog and we'll name him Otis. I think that is an awesome name for a dog. I'd love a ferret or a hedgehog but I am too afraid that I would step on them.

Love that name you have pre picked for your baby! I also love boxers!
Since the discussion is cancer related my MIL has her first chemo treatment on Tuesday. It is a lot worse than they originally said. She has a long road ahead of her

Oh Mary, I am so sad to read this. I have been wondering how things were going for her. I hope they can get this under control for her sooner than later. Many prayers for all of you.

Oh Mary, I am so sorry to read that! Do you know which cancer she has and which chemo she is receiving? I know every person is different. I got so sick on my first round of chemo medicine that they tried with me that they had to switch my whole system. It was some tough times. Is your MIL on the computer a lot? I found that some of the breast cancer groups helped me out so much. There seems to be a group for everything these days. And it's people who are going through what you are so you don't feel like you are by yourself. I will remember her in my prayers. Please keep us updated OK?
