Well the waves have dissipated enough that I could download my photos and post s few more. We docked at Dunedin and too an hour bus ride to Nature's Wonder where there were seals and yellow penguins. Once we got there, we boarded this ATV's And proceeded down these real steep pathways to the water's edge I had posted a video on Facebook of the seals playing in the water, but here is a mama and some furry seal pups we had all been given this protective gear because the day before there had been torrents of rain and many of the paths still had raging water On the way back we passed a Mauri temple with a hand carved gate we wandered a bit in town and in many areas there was something that looked like a phone booth, but in actuality it was a free wifi area All the local stores had these wonderful friendly guards LOL Yes I had to stop and pet every one of them, asking first it it was ok

Our nest stop was Akaroa where we when to a sheep farm to see sheep sheering and also to see the dogs heard the sheep. I tried to post two videos to Facebook, but they have not gone through, I will try again. The shocking thing was just how BIG the sheep were and than when you felt their wool it felt like a lotion Lanolin I think. After the sheep sheering we visited the farmer's wife's garden Here are a few photos of this day on the way back e stopped at this tree. yes you can tell how windy it is in this area we then spend about an hour wandering around the lovely little town And were amazed at the price of gas 208.9 per litre? that is almost $8 a gallon, imagine that! The link to the album is s398.photobucket.com/user/huronnatags/library/Dunedin_Akaroa_NZ?sort=3&page=1some of the photos are too large to post.

Great photos. I want that big black dog to come live at my place. What is it? That sheep looks like he's bored with photos. If I had to pay $8 a gallon for gas I have to ride my bike everywhere.
I've saved some of these. Thanks tons for sharing your vacation with us.

Great pictures Huronna! The cost of living out in Australia looks to be higher than even the UK in places. Gorgeous place though x

That big black dog looks like a Black Lab that has had a perm!!! He/she is gorgeous! And that sheep is huge. Their faces looks like velvet.
Gas - yes, some might look at that and think it isn't any worse than the states, but they don't look at the fact it isn't for a gallon, but a litre. That is what I couldn't get used to in Canada. I am with Betsy, if I had to pay that much I wouldn't be driving. lol
Thanks for sharing your trip along the way. I love all the photos you share.
