OK, so I think this is a slippery slope. Yall know I have a lot of kits. Well, some have really cute elements in them that would make adorable tags on their own. My concern is how would I properly credit them? In looking at some of my kits, I see in the credits that there are many designers listed. I can't prove who actually made the specific element I want to use as my focal point in my tag. So what do we do? Do we credit the kitmaker, or is this a no-no to even consider doing because I don't know exactly who did what? Or is it OK to just credit the kitmaker because the stuff they are using is CU? What is CU anyway? Can I buy CU stuff and make stuff with it, or is that for professionals only?

Cause I was afraid some might be too hoochie. Also on some, I wanted pink cats and witches and I don't know if I am allowed to just randomly colorize everything. The TOU did not say I could not, but I was afraid that that doesn't mean I can. KWIM?

This is too complicated for me. I don't know what CU is and if there are terms of use that have a list of creators, what does that tell you? Ah, Yeah! Simple common sense. You can't use them so get rid of them!! I wish I had a long arm and a mouse that would reach to your pc and delete all of that old crapola that you have. I don't understand why you don't use tubes from here, Angels, or the Zone that have TOU's that are plain and simple. If you have time to pick through all of that old crapola then you have time to look through all of the tubes that I have mentioned. LMBO!! Why bother with these "kits" that we have discussed over and over? LOL Clean them out and get rid of them. Crap-ola!!!
If you want to use scraps and elements then go to up-to-date blogs that have them with TOU's.
What does KWIM mean? LOL

Sorry I deleted my other post but I had to start over or I would have gone on and on, like I still am. LOL Our hoochie rules and questionable artist rules are here...Please bookmark these pages

If you are afraid that the tubes are too hoochie, then don't use them. Why even question it, hon. I think that a lot of this has been covered before. Oh, and there are cats and witches in our tubes under Halloween and a ton of just Cats that you can do whatever you want with them.

Since those credits are so questionable, I'd say don't use them. If you think something may be too hoochie, it probably is. Don't use it. As Susy said, we have so many tubes available here and you can use them however you want.

CU = Commercial Use
KWIM = Know What I Mean
Hoochie = NO NO NO
Don't know who created it = NO NO NO
As Susy said these questions have all been covered before, over and over again. I too wish I could reach your computer because all that "stuff" would be gone in a flash.
We keep telling you and the answers won't change.. Go to "trusted sites" ( NOT surfing the internet) but to the places Susy tells you and get what you need/want.
Also, you are a member not only here, but AD, the Zone and BAMA. I don't know how many other tubes you would need when all these places have hundreds and hundreds of tubes for us to use. BAMA has some cute tubes made by Bobbie and Marilyn.
TOU's in all these places are plain and clear as a bell.

Now, on proper "Current" scrapkits that are indeed SAFE to use. If I were to make a tag strictly with pieces from that scrap kit, which I have as you can see below, I simply credit it with the scrapkit maker and their website. I did NOt use the copyright symbol as this particular kit was a collaboration. Most often than not, you don't use the copyright symbol for kits unless the kit maker requested it and they made every single element by hand.

I just got a visual of Grassy's computer with all these hands coming through it to delete all that stuff she don't need. Just to clarify, the only scraps I save are those that I know are safe or those I've purchased from CDO, which I believe I have a few times.
